Kaylee Newton, and her cameraman, William Shaw, stood outside of Bulwark's home with frowns on their faces. Even though they had some unpopular views, their news channel and her show in particular, Truth Seekers, were one of the most watched channels in the Northern Continent.
One of the biggest reasons for their success was that they always reported the actual news, and dove into the deepest and darkest corners of the world to cover topics many did not. Either they were afraid of the backlash, or they were simply too squeamish. Either way, they stood outside of the Hero's home, having been denied entry.
"As you can see folks, we are having issues getting to the bottom of many of the leaked allegations and rumors." Kaylee said to the camera.
Those allegations were vast, and not limited to things such as misuse of power, rape, murder, kidnapping and more. Of course, it was hard to point the finger at anyone with powers, let alone one of the countries most powerful Hero's. Hell, she would even argue one of the atrongest in the world.
The man standing guard outside of Bulwark's home was massive, with thick corded muscle sticking out on his body like thick cables. Kaylee liked strong men, but even this was a little much. She thought her cameraman, wirey as he was, was more appealing than this guy. She didn't have that kind of relationship with him, and besides, he liked men more than she did, which was impressive.
There was suddenly a huge gust of air, followed by a crash behind the two of them.
"Shit." A voice said as they whipped around.
There stood a man. Well, standing seemed rhetorical, as his feet all the way up to hos knees were buried into the concrete of the stone walkway leading to Bulwark's home. He raised one foot out, and then the other before brushing off his pants. Kaylee noted that the man looked very angry, and also... he was insanely hot. Her face reddened at the sight of him.
The man began to walk forward with purpose, and Kaylee quickly regained her professionalism. She wondered if this was another person that was going to be entering Bulwark's home, and she wondered if he could help her get in. The opportunity was too good to pass up.
"Excuse me, sir?" A woman asked Elias, causing him to stop and turn to look at her.
"Yes?" He asked tightly.
"I'm sorry for interrupting you, but my name is Kaylee Newton with Truth Seekers. Have you been invited to this party? We tried to get in, but the guard wouldn't allow us in." Kaylee said.
"Elias." He said, pausing before he continued, "I was not invited, but I am going inside. Why are you trying to get into this asshole's place?" Elias asked, and Kaylee had a shocked expression on her face, probably given what he had called Bulwark.
"As you might know, we at Truth Seekers pride ourselves on showing people the truth." Kaylee said, and Elias blinked.
"You don't say?" Elias asked dryly.
She didn't seem to understand his sarcasm.
"Yes. We've heard some very disturbing rumors, and many testimonies of people who have suffered at the hands of Bulwark, and many others like him. Well, if they are to be believed." Kaylee said.
Elias actually found some respect for this woman. Normally, people just sucked off all of the heros without questioning their actions or morals. Elias thought about it for a moment, then he decided.
"Hmm. Fuck it. If you want inside, just follow behind me. But..." He said, then a grin appeared on his face. It was both terrifying and panty soaking at the same time. "It's probably going to get violent."
Kaylee and William shared a glance with each other, before giving each other determined nods.
"We'll be right behind you." Kaylee said.
Elias wasn't exactly sure if it was the best idea, but at the same time, the chance to show a bunch of people the truth of Gavin was too good to pass up. While he didn't know exactly what that was, his sister had made it sound like it was not good. He was sure he was about to find out.
Elias strode towards the front door, where a lot of people were waiting to be let inside even now. Many of them glared at Elias and yelled for him to get to the back of the line. He ignored all of that as he made it to the front, where a giant man barred everyone's parh. Elias felt anger rise in him as he recognized this man. Trevor Jones, aka, Titan Fist. The man was massive, and his hands were at least twice as big as his own head.
"Hey, move to the back of the line like everyone else." Trevor said, trying to look intimidating.
Elias chuckled. Honestly, it made sense when he didn't have power, but now, he was more scared of using a public bathroom than he was of this guy. The man narrowed his eyes.
"You look familiar. What's your name?" Trevor asked.
"Stupid and blind, huh? It's Elias Mason, and I'm here for my sister. Get out of my way." Elias said.
Trevor looked surprised, probably because Elias looked different from before, but that was soon replaced with anger.
"You!" Trevor said, cracking his knuckles.
"Um... Elias... perhaps we should-" Kaylee said, but Elias just waved her off.
"You deaf? I said move." Elias said again, a strange chill entering his voice.
"YOU STILL DON'T KNOW YOUR PLACE, DO YOU? UNPOWERED TRASH! I WAS TOLD TO TAKE CARE OF YOU IF I EVER SAW YOU!" Trevor roared, then a feral grin split his lips, "You never did learn to keep your worthless mouth shut. Well, thanks for bringing yourself here."
Titan Fist dashed forward, and threw out a punch that distorted the air. He was slow. Like, really fucking slow. As the fist flew towards him, he thought about the best way to deal with the man. He wasn't as slow as he thought as the fist connected with his face. A loud thunderclap echoed throughout the air, and a gust of wind proceeded where Elias had been hit. A few of the people standing too close were sent flying through the air. Thankfully, Kaylee and William had backed pretty far up as the tension was rising.
There stood Elias, a fist on the side of his face, but he was unmarred. The punch didn't even make him budge. To be honest, Elias didn't mean for the guy to actually hit him. He was in his own head again, but thankfully, his body seemed to be up to the task of taking the hit. More than up to it, actually. It felt like when his sister used to smack him in the face with a pool noodle back when they went swimming at her friend's house. It was pathetic.
Titan Fist stared in equal parts shock and disbelief. Usually, when he punched trash like this, their heads exploded. So how...
Elias turned around, ignoring Titan Fist for the moment, and looked back and Kaylee and William. Their slack jawed reaction to what just happened was quite comical if he did say so himself.
"You both saw that, right? He just tried to kill me. If I'm not mistaken, trying to kill someone who hasn't made a violent move on you is far more strict for powered people, right?" Elias asked, unbothered by the situation.
Kaylee stared for a moment, before she collected herself. She was a reporter. She was a professional, but more importantly, she was a Truth Seeker.
"Y-yes. For a Hero that is A rank or greater, the punishment for such actions can be as high as... death." Kaylee said, almost afraid to say the last part.
Elias just smiled as he turned back to face the still wide-eyed Titan Fist.
"You heard the woman. I would be lying if I said I wasn't going to enjoy this." Elias said, then he smiled, and Titan Fist only then noticed his elongated canines, "So long, trash."
Elias thrust his fist straight into Titan Fist's face, and much like he probably expected Elias to look, his head explodes like a watermelon that was dropped from a great height. Many shocked gasps and some cries of fear echoed throughout the area, but Elias paid none of them no mind. He used the shirt from the corpse of Titan Fist to wipe off his hand and arm, and looled back at the two reporters, who stared mouths agape, and none small amount of terror on their faces.
"Come on, they decided to let us in." Elias said.
