Chapter 2 - CHAPTER TWO

CHAPTER TWO:

Emily's POV

The following day, I got out of bed only to feel a pounding headache and uneasiness in my chest.

The bed was empty; I had a one-night stand with a total stranger, and this morning, I woke up alone.

I had to rush back home and prepare for my interview.

At Smith & Co., I stepped into the interview room.

"Hi, Emily, Welcome to Smith & Co." A man inquired, focusing his gaze on me.

I felt my heart race. His voice was oddly... so familiar.

"Thank you," I said, feeling a little out of place.

"Kindly take a seat." He said

While we were talking about the position of the PA, our eyes were locked, but that only struck more tension.

"You are hired," smiled Alexander, my new boss.

"Thank you, sir," I said, raising myself. Why does his voice sound so familiar and his name? I was just screaming that last night, or is it a coincidence?

I could feel his gaze at me as I left his office.

Working alongside Alexander was breath-taking; there were those captivating blue eyes and that strong jaw line. Is it possible that it's just a coincidence?

He was that guy from the club, wasn't he?

I was unable to get rid of the obsession. Each look and each grin brought that never-ending challenge back to life.

Concentrate Emily, concentrate. He is not someone from the club. He is your boss.

But in my head, it was different. His hands, his kiss...

What appeared to be an enthusiasm of Alexander was reassuring, but I could feel something brewing underneath.

Did he feel the same?

Alexander's POV

I felt a fast rhythm of heart when Emily came into my office for the interview. Same bright eyes with shine and a glimpse of smile, which did not seem to fade away.

But to my surprise, as she greeted me, her expression was cold... nothing.

Hell no, this is not happening.

I recoiled in embarrassment. Did I completely overestimate the bond we had?

But I remembered how she was yesterday—she was laughing and trying to balance herself like a maniac.

"I guess she can't remember anything about last night," I thought to myself.

As I worked alongside Emily, her presence unnerved me. That bright smile in those piercing greenish eyes, I mean. How could I forget the passion that filled our bodies the other night?

"Alright now; keep your head's in the game. She is just your PA. You don't touch."

But I found myself thinking about how she laughed and cracked jokes; it drew me in. I found myself stealing glances, wanting more of everything that happened that night.

Emily's efficiency impressed me, but her proximity tested my self-control. I couldn't risk compromising our professional relationship.

During meetings, Emily's insights impressed clients. Her confidence grew as the days passed by, as did my attraction.

One moment, I'd catch her gazing at me, her eyes sparkling. The next, she'd blush and look away.

There is hope in my heart that we both are connected.

Is she feeling it too?

I couldn't risk asking.

At the office, we maintained a delicate balance—professionalism by day, simmering tension beneath.

But the office started to feel like a source of attraction after sending signals to each other. It wasn't the case anymore; everything was changing, fast and hard.

The line between colleague and temptation began to blur.

One evening, Emily worked with me late—just two of us—when I felt her sharp eyes trying to pierce directly into mine.

For a moment only, our eyes were locked, and with just that, I felt how between us a spark ignited, igniting every single body cell and vein. Those places didn't come alive to me; it was something new, something fresh, something rare.

But, oh well, they do call it love, don't they?

Every word from her mouth caused a shock like never felt before; locking eyes together burned me from within, the tension always present, growing again and again.

That is why simply looking away wasn't an option for me—not now and certainly not after feeling such electric fireworks.

"Let's take a break," I suggested.

"That would be great," she replied.

Emily nodded, and we stepped outside.

The cool night air was refreshing.

A stroll around the neighborhood mesmerized us. In fact, it seemed like the perfect way to de-stress.

The city lights gleamed in the darkness like diamonds. It felt like an enjoyable quiet.

Then it struck—hunger.

"Starving," Emily remarked after yawning.

I chuckled, "me too."

Just when we were about to go bonkers, we noticed a food truck nearby.

We had burgers and fries—what a balm! Eating on a bench, my arms slightly brushed against hers and shivery wind teeth chattered down my spine.

"We should head back to the office," I said almost immediately.

"Okay," she nearly swooned.

As we finished, Emily turned to me.

"Thanks for this break."

I smiled. "My pleasure."

Our eyes locked.

The connection was palpable.

Emily's POV

As we returned to the office, Alex's gaze burned with intensity. I could feel the tension from the elevator.

My heart fluttered. He grasped my waist, pulling me close.

Our lips met, and I melted. Passion consumed me. Tongues danced, our breathing synchronized.

We broke apart, gasping.

"Sorry," we said in unison.

But Alex's desire was unstoppable.

He pulled me back, kissing deeper.

Papers scattered, and I felt the cool table beneath me.

His hands explored my body, sending shivers.

Lips trailed down my neck, teasing.

He sucked my nipples, and I arched. His fingers traced my curves, sending shivers down my spine.

I felt vulnerable. I knew I shouldn't be doing this.

Our bodies merged, and I surrendered. Thoughts vanished, leaving only sensation. Alex's touch, Alex's kiss, Alex's love.

Immediately I snapped back to reality.

"We shouldn't be doing this." I said slightly pushing him.

As we parted, gasping, reality intruded. Our eyes met, filled with uncertainty.

"Emily, I..." Alex trailing off.

"I know," I whispered.

We stood, adjusting our clothes.

The office, once professional, now felt intimate.

"Alex, we can't..." I began.

He nodded. "I know."

But his eyes betrayed his words. Desire still simmered.

We moved apart, attempting distance. Work awaited, but focus eluded us.

Our connection had crossed lines and we will have to face the consequences of our actions.

Alex POV

As we returned to the office, I couldn't deny my longing. Emily's proximity was intoxicating.

Her scent, her smile, her eyes… I grasped her tiny waist, pulling her close. Our lips met, passion igniting. Tongues danced, hearts racing.

We broke apart, gasping.

"Sorry," we said in unison.

But I couldn't resist. I pulled her back, kissing deeper. Papers scattered as I cleared the table.

My hands explored her curves. Lips trailed down her neck. I sucked her nipples, feeling her tremble.

Fingers traced her seams.

She arched into my touch.

I stroked her gently with my fingers.

I could feel her wet pussy in my hands. All I wanted at that moment was to have her to myself.

Our bodies merged. The world outside melted away.

Only Emily and I existed.

I felt Emily pulling away; we parted, gasping, and reality kicked in. Our eyes met, filled with uncertainty.

"Emily, I..." I trailed off.

"I know," she whispered.

We stood, adjusting our clothes.

I could see the regret on her face.

"Alex, we can't..." she began.

I nodded, fully understanding. "I know."

But I knew my eyes betrayed my words.

I still wanted to feel her skin against mine; I want to know what it feels like to be inside that wet pussycat. I still desired her.

Our connection had crossed lines, and I couldn't help but feel guilty.

Will she ever trust me enough to be in the same room with me?
