Although Tessaiga in So'unga mode didn't have many offensive attacks, that didn't mean she was weak, in fact the only reason So'unga was defeated in the movie is because her powers diminished when Tessaiga and Tenseiga were close.
Kenichi: (And also because of the friendship power cliche).
Since I no longer had to worry about that annoying voice that was trying to manipulate me, I started trying out Tessaiga's techniques in So'unga mode and I have to admit that they were impressive, the one that surprised me the most was the Gokuryūha.
This was So'unga most powerful attack, it consisted of lifting Tessaiga over the head and start shaking her in circles, by doing so after a few seconds a purple colored sphere made of Youki would be forming which would create a purple/black colored tornado that would grow every second.
During my practice I had already unleashed several powerful abilities that were incredibly destructive, including the electricity attack I threw at those Youkai, but none of those abilities compared to how destructive the Gokuryūha was. When I threw it it was as if a powerful typhoon had swept through everything, it destroyed the giant rocks, the forest, the mountains that could be seen in the distance, it left destruction wherever it passed and the most surprising thing is that it did not stop until I lost sight of it on the horizon.
Kenichi: (That was incredible.... Although I had already seen how destructive it could be thanks to the movie, seeing it in reality was completely different.... Although I haven't tried the Bakuryūha yet I think they weren't wrong when they said that this technique is more powerful).
Unfortunately apart from that technique I can't experiment much with the other skills like "Reanimation", which is a skill that allows me to revive the dead as soulless undead, although it's an amazing skill, I don't think I'll use it much.
Then there's "Illusion", an ability that allows me to alter the perception of reality of others, it's basically like the Genjutsus used by the ninjas in Naruto.
"Mind Reading", is similar to Tsumi no Eda's ability that allows you to use blood to know all the target's information, the only difference is that Mind Reading can get any useful information just by touching an object that the target is holding.
"Phantom Castle" is a skill that can corrupt any environment to form a demonic ghostly fortress that strengthens all my attacks.
"Path to Hell" is a skill that allows me to open a portal to the underworld that over time is able to absorb the souls of the living world and send them directly to eternal oblivion.
"Black Spikes" is a technique with which you can launch a rain of black spikes when swinging Tessaiga, it is quite similar to Kongōsōha, but this technique has the additional effect of corroding what it touches.
And lastly would be "Corrosive Aura", an ability that allows me to release a powerful demonic aura that is capable of corroding any kind of weapon to the point of rendering it unusable for a short period of time.
Those are basically all of So'unga's abilities, although if I train and perfect my control, it should be possible to develop new techniques, but by doing that I risk being controlled by what little is left of So'unga's spirit consciousness, so until I become strong enough it's best that I don't use these abilities too much.
Kenichi: (I've already tasted the sensation of that sinister voice speaking directly into my head and I'm absolutely certain that it's not a feeling I want to feel again for a long time... No wonder hardly anyone in the Saruyama family has been able to overpower Tessaiga in this state, not even Inuyasha could do it).
I have to admit that even Tessaiga's weaker abilities are pretty awesome, the day I perfect them I'm going to be a force to be reckoned with in this world. Although at my current level I'm still far from being the strongest, at least now I have the strength to defend myself in the worst case scenario, plus I also have the system.
Kenichi: (Personally I would like to focus on improving my control with Jigoku no Gōka).
At first I didn't realize it, but after recalling it I remembered that this fire is the same one that appeared in a Light Novel/Manga called "The boy who had been continuously burned by the fires of hell. Revived, he becomes the strongest flame user", the story itself didn't have much to highlight, it was mainly action and humor, in this world the origin of this flame was similar to that story.
It turns out that more than 1000 years ago there was a clan of Shamans who specialized in the use of fire techniques, they were in charge of guarding the "Jigoku no Mon (Gate of Hell)". A gate that prevented the Hellfire from getting out of control and burning the world, although they fulfilled their role for several centuries, they could not fight against the passage of time, in addition to several supernatural beings coveted the Hellfire, among them were the Gods who were afraid of the power of Hellfire that was capable of killing them.
In the end, after an intense battle that lasted several years, the town was destroyed and all the Shamans that inhabited it were killed. Although in terms of power, the Shamans were quite powerful, to the point that they could fight on par with the Gods, that did not change the fact that they were humans with a limited life expectancy.
Fortunately, even though the Shamans were defeated, they managed to hide the Gate of Hell in a remote place out of the reach of the Gods. As they were the only ones who knew the method to remove the seal of the gate, in the end it was abandoned.
After that, many years passed until a member of the Saruyama family found it, guided by Tessaiga who felt attracted by the evil power emanating from the door.
After that the story is simple, Tessaiga absorbed the gate gaining the ability to control the Hellfire. So far that fire has been used in a normal way to fight, but thanks to my knowledge of the manga I know that it has many more capabilities than what Tessaiga showed me.
In the manga the main character named Valkaen, was a teenager who was used as a sacrifice to calm the instability that was occurring in the Hellfire, being an orphan without family or friends he was the best option, plus unlike the other Shamans of the village he was an outsider. The moment he crossed the Gate of Hell, his body was immediately incinerated to ashes and so was his soul.
The souls burned by the Hellfire go neither to heaven nor to hell and neither can they reincarnate, their destiny is to be incinerated for eternity. Valkaen had to endure the pain of his soul being incinerated for 1000 years, until at some point he stopped feeling pain, with curiosity he began to wander as a soul inside the Hellfire, until he found 8 types of flames of different colors, among them were, a flame of red, blue, yellow, green, purple, black, white and gold.
Each of the flames carried a different colored gem in the center, when Valkaen touched them these gems fused with his soul, which allowed him to absorb all the flames of hell and somehow he was able to create a new body of flesh and blood, thus becoming the living incarnation of the Hellfire.
Kenichi: (The manga only had a little over 100 chapters before ending and the light novel was also unfinished, but the story showed how Valkaen could master 3 types of flames, if this Hellfire is the same as the one in that manga, then it is possible that if I master it I can acquire those flames, so it is worth investing my time in developing this ability, but first I have to acquire some ability or object that gives me resistance to the flames).
Unlike Valkaen who literally became the Hellfire, as a Hanyou I only have a little bit of normal fire resistance, other than Azure I have no means to use the Hellfire without hurting myself.
After that I started practicing with the Youkai Swords, although they all had interesting abilities, none came close to having the destructive power of Tessaiga. In their current state they are only good for making low level or low Youkais with little Youki more powerful, so I don't think I'll use them much.
Kenichi: (Although it never hurts to have a repertoire of secondary weapons in case the situation calls for it, so I think I'll keep Banryuu, Ryuujin no Tate, Kurikaramaru and Hiraikotsu).
I didn't choose these weapons because they were especially stronger than the rest, I simply chose them because they gave me the option to use different fighting styles.
I then trained with the historical weapons of the Sengoku Basara characters. These weapons unlike the Yokai Swords do not have powerful abilities that require the use of Youki, they are spiritual weapons designed specifically for combat, they require the martial skills of the user and a powerful will to fight, they are similar to the Meitou swords of One Piece that when used with Haki become practically indestructible.
When these weapons are used in the right way they begin to release elements by themselves making the attacks more powerful.
Unfortunately my ability to use weapons is comparable to that of a novice, although the Hanma physique allows me to replicate any martial art just by observing it, that does not mean that I would become as good as a master in the use of weapons instantly, with my current skills, these weapons could only release a little of their power.
The only ones I could use without any problem were Tokugawa Ieyasu's Brass Knuckles, they were called "Bond Bracers".
Tokugawa Ieyasu is a very important character in the history of Japan. He was the founder and first Shogun of the "Tokugawa Shogunate", a feudal regime that ruled over Japan from the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 until the Meiji Restoration in 1868. He was considered one of the three great unifiers of Japan.
In the Sengoku era he initially presented himself as Takechiyo, a young man who fought on the battlefield using a spear, but later when he chose the path of unifying Japan, he discarded his spear and opted to fight using only his fists. His fighting style was quite similar to Boxing, so it was not difficult to use the Bond Bracers, I have to admit that they were quite incredible, the power, speed and strength of my blows increased quite a lot when I used them.
The more punches I threw, the more element of light and wind was released, increasing even more the destructive power of my punches, plus I could let the light element accumulate in the Knuckles to throw a powerful blow that destroyed everything in its path, the name of this ability was Tendoudzuki (Heaven Thrust).
There was also the ability Koga Genten (The Great General of the Northern Skies), which summoned a giant emblem made of light on the floor with the symbol of the Tokugawa clan, when released it creates a column of light that sends all nearby enemies flying.
Kenichi: (These weapons are too good to be left to gather dust in the warehouse, if I learn to use them correctly they can be quite useful, plus they don't require any kind of power to be used, they only require the ability and willingness to fight of their user).
For now I decided to keep the Bond Bracers because they adapted quite well to my current fighting style and I also decided to keep the twin spears called "Sunset", used by Sanada Yukimura, for the moment I want these two to be my secondary weapons after Tessaiga, if at some point I receive the Busoshoku Haki as a reward from the system, I'm sure that its offensive power will increase a lot.
Before I knew it, four days had already passed and I had already tested the capabilities and abilities of all the weapons and items I brought in the dimensional bag. Outside it should have only been about four hours, that left me only three more days in Touga's tomb before I had to go back to prepare for school.
It was at that point that something occurred to me.
Kenichi: (Come to think of it... If I can transform into my full Inu no Daiyoukai form, doesn't that mean that I should also be able to adopt a hybrid form similar to Touga and Sesshomaru's?)
Although my transformation into Youkai was quite powerful, it is undeniable that my speed and mobility decrease when fighting, although I can adopt a smaller and more compact form, that does not take away the problem that I can not do anything more than bite with my fangs and cut with my claws, although it is a convenient way to fight against armies or against giant monsters, I have to admit that it is not very useful against other types of enemies.
It may be that in that form you can control the Youki better, but that's useless if you can't hit your opponent with your attack. But instead, what if I adopt a hybrid form that allows me to keep my humanoid appearance and at the same time allows me to harness all the power produced by my Youkai form.
After thinking that, I was practicing for a few hours, but no matter how many attempts I made, I wasn't getting the results I wanted. Although I was able to adopt a form similar to Inuyasha's, that was far from being the result I wanted, it was no different than transforming individual parts of my body into those of my Youkai form, it was far from being considered a perfect transformation.
Kenichi: (Hmm... This is harder than I expected... No matter which way I use the Youki I always come back to the same thing... The only way I can think of for this transformation to work is for him to use rage and anger as a catalyst just like the Saiyajin who could transform into Super Saiyajin after getting angry.)
This happened to Inuyasha when he lost control, it also happened to Towa and Moroha when Setsuna was killed by Kirinmaru, both acquired Youkai characteristics and were able to release a Youki that was almost on par with that of a Daiyoukai like Kirinmaru.
Kenichi: (The problem is that even though I'm a Hanma, I can't just get angry for the sake of getting angry, in the anime world those kinds of transformations or power increases only happen when a loved one is killed in front of your eyes, it's not something so simple to do or replicate).
Before I knew it a whole day had already passed, I was so immersed that I didn't even eat or sleep, I was all that time focused on finding ways to make it work, but none of them worked.
But just when I was considering to give up...

I could clearly feel Tessaiga throbbing inside my soul as she tried to communicate with me.
Kenichi: "Hmm, you say you want to help me Tessaiga?"

Kenichi: (Come to think of it, I've only experimented with the Youki so far, but at no time did it occur to me to use Tessaiga for this).
After thinking that, I immediately made Tessaiga appear in my hand.
Kenichi: "Now the question is, how can I make this work?"
It feels like I'm missing something that all the other Youkai have but I'm lacking?
Kenichi: (For starters, what is a Youkai?)
Youkai (Literally means ghost, specter or strange apparition) are mythological beings belonging to Japanese folklore, many people often confuse them with demons, however, that concept can hardly encompass the full range of supernatural creatures it encompasses. The term Youkai includes: Spirits, Ghosts (Yuurei), Monsters that change form (Bakemono), People that undergo transformations, Animals that take on human characteristics and supernatural powers (Hengeyoukai) and inanimate objects that come to life (Tsukumogami).
In ancient stories, it is said that when the god Izanagi returned from the land of Yomi (World of Darkness or Underworld) in his failure to bring his wife Izanami back to life, he purified himself by taking a bath. As he dried himself, each of the falling drops of water soaked the ground and imbued the land with supernatural potential, this along with the imagination and beliefs of humans, gave birth to the Youkai along with thousands of other Gods.
Kenichi: (Although this is just one of the many stories that exist, so I do not know if it is true, but it makes some sense, the Gods are the representation of the faith of humanity, while evil beings like the Youkai represent the fear of the unknown, so it would not surprise me that the origin of the Youkai is similar to that story).
A good example is the Gods or commonly called "Kami". In Japanese mythology there are approximately eight million Gods, and the vast majority of them were born thanks to the beliefs of humans, such as the seven deities of fortune, Teijin (The Kami of letters), Inari (The Kami of rice and fertility), etc.
In the case of Youkai it is similar, some were simply born naturally, while others were born out of the imagination and fear of humans. A good example of this are the Youkai that were human in the past, usually beings that transformed after a tragic death or experienced extreme emotions at the moment of their death. These include the Rokurokubi, the Teke Teke, the Tenome, the Ohaguro-bettari, the Ubume, etc.
Although the Inu no Daiyoukai being a type of dog that can transform at will into a human is categorized as a Hengeyoukai, it is on a completely different level from the other Youkai of that class, it is quite similar to the Kyubi and the Qilin. From the moment they are born they have an abnormally high amount of Youki that makes them different from the others.
Kenichi: (A good example of this are Inuyasha, Moroha, Towa and Setsuna, who even though they were hanyou, they had a much higher Youki than the other Youkai).
To begin with in alternate realities the Inu no Daiyoukai does not exist, it was just a type of Youkai that was invented for the story of Inuyasha, its existence was made based on the Tiāngǒu (Heavenly Dog), a black dog that lived in heaven and was an enemy of Zhang Xian, a Chinese male deity of child birth.
It's not much different in this world either, no matter how hard you look in the old books, there is absolutely nothing written about the origin of the Inu no Daiyoukai legend, only a little bit is mentioned about Touga and his wife, who along with Sesshomaru are the only pure-blooded Inu no Daiyoukai in existence.
The only Youkai that resemble him somewhat are the Okuri-Inu, the Keukegen, the Hainu and the Inugami, who are among the few Dog-like Youkai, but these are only low level Youkai. Currently the only ones who have knowledge about the Inu no Daiyoukai are supernatural beings or humans who are part of the supernatural world.
Even in the Saruyama family books the only thing that is known about the Inu no Daiyoukai, is the same as what was mentioned in the Inuyasha anime.
Among the most notable abilities of the Inu no Daiyoukai are their ability to take human forms, their incredibly long life expectancy, their immunity to all forms of disease and strong purification powers that can be fatal to normal Youkai. Also unlike other Youkai who usually have a single unique ability, they can master a wide variety of magical and mystical abilities, such as acid and poison creation, lightning generation, flight, teleportation and even psychic powers. But undoubtedly the most incredible ability of the Inu no Daiyoukai is their ability to forge powerful swords from their fangs or body parts.
Kenichi: (That's all the information that exists... Although I read several of the Saruyama family books, I couldn't find anything else, so it's hard to know if the Inu no Daiyoukai is a type of Youkai that was born on its own or was created by humans' imagination and fear... I feel like knowing that is what I'm missing in order to be complete as a Hanyou).
After thinking that, I looked at Tessaiga that was in my hands.
Kenichi: (Come to think of it, just like the Sacred Gears from High School DxD, Tessaiga also retained the consciousnesses of its former bearers...)
After thinking that, I took Tessaiga with both hands and slowly started to close my eyes while concentrating. My goal was to find the origin of the history of the Inu no Daiyoukai by connecting with the consciousnesses or remnants of Tessaiga's previous bearers, who I am specifically looking for is Touga, after all he is the source of the origin.

I don't know how long I was motionless, but I am completely sure that several hours had already passed, during all that time I was able to successfully connect with several of the remnants of the Tessaiga carriers, although of course seeing their life experiences and their past would take me a long time, after all we are talking about more than 500 years of history.
Although I had received large amounts of information before, that was just stories from movies, manga and anime, even if you put them all together it hardly compares to the equivalent information of 500 years of history, that's why I was having some trouble.
Throughout history, Tessaiga had 10 bearers, even though they have all had quite a few differences in their life forms, they have all shared something in common, that is the fact that despite being Hanyou none of them have been able to live a long life. It is assumed that like the Youkai, the Hanyou also have a fairly extended life expectancy, in fact Inuyasha himself despite apparently being 17 years old was actually 200 years old chronologically at the beginning of the story.
Some of the bearers simply decided to die along with their loved ones as humans, others died during battles against powerful enemies and some were victims of the machinations of supernatural beings who took advantage of their moments of weakness.
Although I was interested in seeing their stories including my father's, unfortunately my priority at the moment was not to see their memories, so I tried not to dig too much into their lives.

After an indefinite time, I was finally able to find Touga...
But at the same time I was faced with a new problem, if before I had difficulty dealing with 500 years, now I had to deal with 3000 years.
My body couldn't help but shudder and sweat desperately at the overwhelming amount of information my brain was processing in just an instant.
I didn't even have time to calmly process Touga's past, it was all so instantaneous that I was overwhelmed for quite some time. Hopefully I was only able to see fragments of the important moments in his life, such as the wars he fought in, his constant confrontations against Kirinmaru and the other Daiyoukai who threatened to annihilate humanity, the times he spent with his two wives and the affection he was unable to offer his children.
Although when you put it that way it seems as if he had seen a lot, but that was only a small fragment of Touga's life, unfortunately with my current capabilities it is impossible for me to assimilate 3000 years of history without paying a price.
But still I continued to search even deeper...
To know more about myself, I have to understand about the origin of Touga.
Until finally, I was able to get to what I think I was looking for...
At first I felt a bit puzzled, after all, unlike the previous bearers I was now looking at what anyone could define as a battlefield.

In this war there was no side, they were all killing each other, I could even see from their
expressions that they were enjoying it...
It was an incredibly grotesque scene...
Although I could tell from their appearances that these men were all Asians, there was nowhere to be seen the typical honour of the Samurai. These guys were just savages swinging their weapons as if they were mere toys with the sole purpose of killing, I could clearly see the madness reflected in their eyes.
The scene of hundreds of men bathing in the blood and guts of their enemies while laughing in happiness seemed disgusting to me.
The Monsters were no better either, they mercilessly trampled over the corpses of all the other monsters and then simply ate their mangled bodies while letting the blood seep everywhere.
In the distance I could see how they had the headless bodies of women and children hanging, displaying them as if it was some kind of spectacle while small Goblin-like monsters slowly ate their bodies.
It was more like a scene straight out of hell than a war.
Kenichi: (I don't know if it's because of the Hanma blood or because of my Youkai half, but I'm unexpectedly not too affected by seeing this)
Don't get me wrong, obviously it disgusts me to see how they play with the corpses of women and children while laughing, but at the end of the day these are just memories, no matter how angry I get in the end I can't do anything about it.
???: "Snif... Ugh... Waaaaaah..."
But while I was immersed in my thoughts, I was quickly brought back to reality when I heard a little girl of about 5 or 6 years old crying as she hugged the body of a headless woman and a baby whose face was all torn up.
Sadness, grief, pain, all these emotions were conveyed through her tears as she desperately hugged the body of the woman and the baby.
But the sadness and suffering of the girl did not move the men and monsters one bit, her suffering was only met with laughter and mockery from those who heard her.
Some even put aside their battles just to enjoy the suffering of the child...
Honestly these guys were already starting to irritate me, they weren't even particularly strong but they had a confident and arrogant attitude, even with my current strength as Hanma I could tear them all apart without a problem. I'm not sure if they were just psychopaths or were confident because of the monsters accompanying them.
After laughing, a fat, unpleasant-looking man approached the girl with slow steps, and from his expression one could tell that he intended to have some fun with her before killing her.
But just when he was about to touch her...
???: "AUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!"
A mighty howl echoed across the battlefield, causing everyone to freeze in their positions...
And with a speed impossible for human sight to follow, the man's neck was completely torn off...

The battlefield, which until a few seconds ago was chaotic, suddenly became unbelievably silent...
???: "GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!"
But that silence was quickly interrupted by a powerful growl.
Everyone turned to look at the cause of the intimidating growl, which was similar to that of a beast, but when they did so they were surprised to see a dog.
It was unlike any dog I had ever seen before in my life, it was about 80cm tall, it had long silver/white fur, it was especially long on its legs, back, tail and ears, its eyes were yellow in color and its claws were quite long and sharp.
If I had to give an example, it was like a compact version of my Youkai form, but at the same time it was also very different, unlike my demonic appearance, I could tell at a glance that this dog was nothing special, apart from its beautiful appearance and fierce gaze, it was just a dog of an unknown or perhaps extinct breed.
But despite being just a dog, it could not be denied that its ferocity could not be underestimated, it just ripped off a human's neck with a simple bite as if it was nothing, plus no one could react or see its movements.
Although his entrance and appearance left everyone surprised, that surprise was quickly replaced by mocking and contemptuous expressions, he didn't have to be a genius to know what everyone was thinking:
"A new toy to amuse us"
But despite all the stares he was getting, the dog simply stood firmly in front of the girl while looking at everyone with his fierce eyes.
What followed after that was something that even I didn't expect....
"It was supposed to be just a normal dog without any kind of power or ability"
That was what everyone including me thought, but out of any imagination we had, the dog stood his ground and never stopped protecting the girl at any time. The battle that should have been over in just a few minutes stretched into hours and then days, during all that time the dog received wounds that should have been fatal, but it still stood firmly in the same position.
His body was a complete mess, he had several holes that were caused when he was stabbed with the spears, he also had a lot of shallow and deep cuts caused by the swords, his front left leg was completely severed, his right eye was pierced by an arrow, several of his claws and fangs were broken and his beautiful silver coloured fur was completely marred by the red colour of the blood.
The amusement in the expressions of the men and monsters had long since faded, now all that could be seen in their expressions was fear and despair, some even lay on the ground trembling with fear begging for mercy as they cried and pissed themselves.
But you couldn't blame them for that, after all, what everyone thought was an ordinary dog was standing on a mountain of corpses, both human and monster.
Despite being outnumbered, the dog never stopped killing, for every wound it received it killed someone even more brutally, it was as if it was the personification of the hatred and resentment of all the people who were killed in this town. The claws of its paws sliced through the skin, flesh, bones and organs of all the humans without any difficulty, its fangs dug into every part of the monsters' bodies tearing off each of their limbs.
There was not a single moment of doubt or hesitation, when he was attacked by giant monsters, he would attack their eyes or any vital area that was in sight and crush it with his fangs without mercy, he was fast, smart and meticulous. In his eyes you could not see any joy or satisfaction in such an act, he was simply doing what was necessary to survive and to protect the girl.
The few men who were left alive could only huddle on the ground as they lay in a faecal position and whispered pathetically in a language I did not know.
With my skill "Comprehension of all languages" I could easily understand what they were mumbling.
"Monster!"
It was such a simple yet ironic word, all of them were happily fighting alongside beings with Youkai-like appearances that remorselessly devoured the corpses of innocent women and children to satisfy their hunger, but the moment they were defeated by the dog they realized the sad and harsh reality that they were nothing more than insignificant humans that could be crushed at any moment by someone stronger than them.
Kenichi: (So this is a Youkai? A being of sinister nature that generates terror in the hearts of humans and feeds on it to become stronger...)
The dog completely ignored the humans who lost the will to fight and with unsteady steps slowly approached the direction in which the girl was standing.
During the whole fight the girl remained in the same position hugging the woman and the baby, her eyes were completely empty, it was as if she was a doll whose strings had been cut, although she felt hatred and resentment for those who killed her family, in the end she was just a weak and impotent girl, the only thing she could do was to wait patiently for them to kill her.
I didn't need to read her thoughts to know what she was thinking.
"I'd rather be eaten by this monster"
