Chapter 16 - War Fiendgod Divine Body

"Wait a minute, I just noticed something!"

A spectator widened his eyes in realization.

"What did you notice?"

"Can't you see? Xian Tiandi is yet to move from his spot since the battle began despite all of Zhou Kang's barrage of attacks!"

"What? Wait... it's true."

Many others began to realize and the faces of the cheering Zhou Clan members became sore.

The Xian Clan Members on the other hand began to cheer on Xian Tiandi.

They were getting excited as the match continued.

Both families have always competed with one another and whenever there is such a clash either side naturally hopes for the other to win.

The battle raged on in the Xianling Martial Arena.

Zhou Kang's movements became sharper and more ferocious with each passing second.

His strikes, now imbued with the latent power of his physique, tore through the air like thunderclaps.

The spectators, initially dismissive of the fight, were now on the edge of their seats.

"Zhou Kang's power keeps growing!" someone in the crowd exclaimed.

"He's clearly tapping into his physique's abilities," another expert nodded.

Meanwhile, Xian Tiandi nodded with thought.

'Indeed, Zhou Kang had begun to unlock the potential of his physique.'

'This is really the War Fiendgod Divine Body—a rare and terrifying physique known for its monstrous physical strength and near-limitless potential in Battle.'

With every failed strike, Zhou Kang's body adapted, his attacks becoming faster, stronger, and more precise.

Yet, no matter how much Zhou Kang pushed himself, Xian Tiandi remained untouchable.

His calm demeanor, hands clasped behind his back, and effortless dodging painted a stark contrast to Zhou Kang's relentless aggression.

"Is this all?" Xian Tiandi finally spoke, his voice calm but carrying an undertone of sharpness.

Zhou Kang growled, his fiery eyes locking onto Xian Tiandi. "Don't underestimate me!"

He surged forward, his body glowing faintly as veins pulsed with divine energy.

His next strike was accompanied by an oppressive aura, as though a mountain were descending on Xian Tiandi.

But just as the attack was about to connect, Xian Tiandi shifted slightly, evading the blow with a movement so minimal it seemed he hadn't moved at all.

Xian Tiandi's gaze sharpened as he finally identified what Zhou Kang's special awakening was all about.

He soon lost any interest to continue playing.

"Impressive physique," Xian Tiandi murmured, almost to himself. "But you've yet to master it."

Without giving Zhou Kang time to recover from his missed strike, Xian Tiandi acted.

His fingers moved like lightning, striking a single acupoint on Zhou Kang's chest with precise force.

Thud!

Zhou Kang froze mid-motion, his body trembling as his energy abruptly dissipated.

Then, like a mountain crumbling, he collapsed onto the arena floor, unconscious.

The crowd erupted in stunned silence.

"What just happened?"

"A single strike? How could Zhou Kang fall so easily?"

Shui Lian, standing beside her Mistress in the stands, narrowed her eyes.

Her sharp gaze lingered on Xian Tiandi's hand.

"That technique…" she muttered, her voice tinged with disbelief. "It's an assassination technique. Only experts from hidden sects or shadow organizations could possess such precision. Who is he really?"

Her Mistress remained silent, her yellow eyes observing Xian Tiandi with interest, while Yun Ke stood beside them, his own curiosity piqued.

'My intuition was right. This fellow is not ordinary,' thought Yun Ke.

Although he generally would not pay any attention to someone of Xian Tiandi's Cultivation Level. He had seen situations of late bloomers.

Moreover that last strike, Yun Ke felt that there was more to and even now he saw that there were many mysteries within that finger strike.

Being able to cause such a feeling of mystery in an expert like himself, is something his sect elders are able to do.

He never expected to have such an encounter with someone younger and lower in cultivation level than himself.

---

When Zhou Kang regained consciousness, he found himself lying in the middle of the arena.

His body felt weak, and his mind reeled as he recalled the last moments of the battle.

"I lost?" he muttered to himself, disbelief and shame washing over him.

The crowd's murmurs reached his ears, but his focus was on the wager he had made before the fight. He had promised to serve Xian Tiandi for a month if he lost.

Zhou Kang clenched his fists as he turned to face his opponent, his pride and honor warring within him. "I lost. I will honor my wager."

Xian Tiandi, who had been quietly observing Zhou Kang, waved his hand dismissively. "There's no need."

Zhou Kang froze. "What?"

Xian Tiandi smiled faintly, his tone calm but firm. "I have no interest in forcing anyone to serve me. Consider this match a lesson instead. Strength without discipline is meaningless."

Without waiting for a response, Xian Tiandi turned and leaped off the stage, landing gracefully.

Zhou Kang watched in stunned silence as Xian Tiandi walked away, his companion Ying Yue joining him.

---

As Xian Tiandi exited the arena, something caught his attention—a retreating figure.

A maiden in white, flanked by a masked woman in blue and a young man in red martial robes, was leaving the stands.

Xian Tiandi froze mid-step, his eyes widening in shock. "Bai Xueyao?"

The name slipped from his lips like a whisper, filled with disbelief and emotion.

"No, it can't be…"

By the time he gathered himself, the trio had disappeared from sight, leaving Xian Tiandi standing in place, lost in thought.

---

From the top floor of the Moon Jade Pavilion, another figure watched Xian Tiandi intently.

The lady who had folded her fan earlier now wore a curious smile.

"Xian Tiandi…" she murmured to herself. "You're more interesting than I expected."

Her name was Lanyue and she was the manager of the Moon Jade Pavilion in Xianling City.

At least on the surface.

Beside her, Chu Fei said nothing but watched the arena with a subtle frown.

"Are you considering inviting him for that?"

"Hehehe, it's too soon. We'll see if he is worthy of it later. Besides, I'm only her for leisure not to work." Lan Yue replied.
