Agatha's attention snapped back to her friend. Suddenly, Kia's appearance seemed distorted, as if she had two heads. Agatha wondered if it was due to the condition she had mentioned earlier or if Kia was hiding her pain. The latter possibility struck a chord.
"Kia..." Agatha called out, but her voice trailed off as she realized Kia's attention was elsewhere.
Kia's gaze was fixed on a couple across the room, her eyes gleaming with an evil smile. "Oh, just look at the minion and concubine," she said, her fingers tracing the rim of her glass.
Agatha followed Kia's gaze, confusion etched on her face. "Haa...?"
As she turned back to Kia, she felt a shiver run down her spine. Kia seemed transformed, her demeanor darker and more sinister.
Kia downed her red wine, ordered earlier with an air of recklessness. Then, without warning, she stood up and walked away.
Agatha rose to follow, thinking Kia would confront the couple, but paused as Kia veered off toward the washroom.
Relieved, Agatha sat back down. The new Kia, post-breakup, was scary and unpredictable.
Just then, a blonde woman bypassed Agatha. In the washroom, Kia refreshed her makeup, darkening her look.
"Dressing up like this, you really think Zack will be impressed?" a mocking voice echoed through the space.
Kia paused, applying her dark lipstick, and met the intruder's gaze in the mirror.
Their eyes locked.
"Oh ho, and a strawberry flavor at that. Still hoping for him to come over and kiss you?" The blonde smiled mockingly.
Kia turned, her sweet smile catching the woman off guard.
"Long time, Tana," Kia said, her voice dripping with sugar.Tana gazed at Kia with mocking intensity. "It's good you still know how to greet your elders, little sister."
Tana sauntered towards Kia, her voice dripping with condescension. "You know, Kia, if you'd been more submissive and obedient to Zack, maybe he wouldn't have cheated on you."
Kia's expression remained calm, but her eyes sparkled with underlying tension.
"We come from the same blood," Tana continued, "yet we're vastly different. You get what you want, while I steal what you desire." Tana's laughter echoed through the space. "What do you think, sister?"
Kia's response was unexpected. "I think it's very sweet."
Tana's laughter ceased, replaced by a frown. "What's so sweet about that?"
Kia's smile grew wider. "The fact that you're using what I've thrown away."
Tana's eyes narrowed, sensing the underlying barb.Tana shook off her disturbing thoughts and smiled, convinced Kia's brain was broken. "Little sis," she said sweetly, reaching for Kia's hand.
Kia caught hers, pulled her closer, and whispered, "Sister, may I have your permission to seduce your boyfriend?"
Tana's face twisted in rage. She pushed Kia and attempted to slap her. "You bitch..."
Kia caught Tana's hand. "Don't ruin this face; it's useful for seduction."
Kia pushed Tana, who fell to the floor. Kia winked and walked out.
Tana's fear grew as she scrambled out, chasing Kia. She grabbed Kia's ponytail, yanking hard.
Agatha rushed to Kia's aid, a man following behind her. Agatha pushed Tana away and slapped her.
Tana, holding her red cheek, glared at Agatha and Kia with hatred. Noticing the man beside Kia, Tana ran to him, hugging and crying, "Zack, they bullied me! Kia beat me up, and Agatha helped her."
Zack frowned, his green eyes blazing with anger. "You're a vixen, Kia. How dare you bully your elder sister?"
Kia remained calm. "If I tell you I didn't bully her, will you believe me?"
Zack scoffed. "Your words are venom."
Kia shrugged. "Then there's nothing to explain."
Zack roughly grabbed Kia's arm. "Why are you always a venomous snake?"
Kia smiled, freed herself, and replied, "Because my life has been tainted by two deranged assholes."
She left with Agatha, leaving Zack's words hanging.
Tana's tears turned to cunning smiles as Zack hugged her. "You see, Zack, I told you she's not a good woman. My sister's been spoiled by that bitch Agatha."
Zack sighed, regretting his words. "I never thought she'd turn out this way. Maybe it's because she's been pampered all her life."
Meanwhile, Kia and Agatha left the restaurant, with Agatha praising Kia.
As they strolled, a familiar figure caught Kia's attention. "Isn't that Daniel?" Agatha asked, recalling Kia's reservations. "Didn't you say it was a bad idea bringing him?"
Kia swiftly pulled Agatha away. "Let's go to the club."
Agatha halted, concern etched on her face. "Slow down, Kia."
Kia frowned. "What's wrong?"
Agatha crossed her arms, scrutinizing Kia. "Are you avoiding your bodyguard?"
Kia replied nonchalantly, "It's a girl's day out, remember?"
Agatha raised an eyebrow. "That makes sense, though."
Kia asked, curiosity piqued, "What did you think?"
Agatha thoughtfully replied, "I thought maybe you were avoiding him."
Kia frowned, defensive. "Why would I? We have no relationship."
Agatha smiled mischievously. "Exactly."
Kia chuckled, tapping Agatha's nose. "You little imp, still shipping me with Daniel?"
Agatha grinned, scratching her head. "If only his background wasn't so bad... He's devilishly beautiful."
Kia laughed, playfully tapping Agatha's head. "Stop fantasizing. Let's go."
As they walked through the city streets, Agatha's words lingered, "But really, Kia, think about it."Kia's response echoed through the air: "No."
Inside the bar, the pulsating music enveloped them. Kia and Agatha joined in, dancing and drinking, abandoning caution.
In the corner, a mysterious figure watched them. A waiter approached and the man whispered something, before waving him away. The waiter then handed Kia a drink, glancing back at the figure, who smirked.
Kia approached the figure who raised his glass in acknowledgment. His face was hidden behind a black golden mask, but his inviting pink lips curved into a smirk.
"What's the intention behind this?" Kia asked, eyeing him.
He silently beckoned her to sit, while whispers circulated in the background speculating about the latest object of young master Fil's affections.
Kia sighed, then seductively walked over and sat beside him.
Unnoticed by others, Kia swiftly removed his mask.
The room fell silent as the whispers died down.
But Kia's expression faltered. She had anticipated handsome features, but a long scar marred his face.
Disappointed, Kia stood and walked away.
"Catch her!" the man shouted.
Kia grabbed Agatha and hastily exited.
