[Earth, 20**]
A young man played the Witcher 3 on his computer, Just after installing a new dismemberment and nsfw mod.
Just as he started to load up the game, his phone which sat on the nearby coffee table began to buzz and ring violently even though he always had his phone set to silent.
"The Fuck?" He spoke to himself upon hearing the phone buzzing like crazy so he spammed the volume down button until the phone shut up without even looking at the screen then tossed the phone back to the coffee table without a care.聽
He focused back on the game for a few more moments until hearing a strange siren from under his headphones.
"What the fuck? I didn't even know we had tornado Sirens here..." He spoke to himself before setting his controller aside and walking to his window.
With a sweep of his hand, the gray blackout curtains slid open to reveal the bright morning light.
Instantly the young man's eyes opened wide upon seeing cars speeding through his neighborhood while his neighbors across the street jumped into their truck before speeding off but forgetting their fat English bulldog in the yard, The animal barking desperately but remaining unheard by his owners until it was too late.
'This is definitely not normal....' The young man thought to himself before rushing over to the coffee table where his phone sat and actually took a moment to read the alert.
.....[EMERGENCY ALERT]
[INTERCONTINENTAL BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO YOUR AREA. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.].....
He froze for a moment as his brain took a few moments to process what he was reading.
Then he bolted like a gazelle out his front door, opening it he saw the people in his apartment running out of their homes, in such a rush that most did not bother closing up behind them and simply fled.
He was no different, not wanting to lose time he rushed out with nothing but his phone and what was in his pockets.
It didn't take long to reach the open air but he knew it was too late.
Overhead were hundreds of streaks and contrails from the Missiles moving deeper and deeper into the country while other contrails were flying in the opposite direction likely as his own countries nuclear response.
A few of his neighbors stopped nearby and looked up much as he did聽
"They're probably going to big cities right, what if they don't hit us?" One man asked aloud.
A few murmurs of agreement happened until they say a single contrail change course and turn downwards.
All of the neighbors ran off but the young man stood still and looked directly at the missile as it made it's descent nearly directly overhead.
Instead of fear, the young man felt a surreal peace and simply gazed as the falling missile reached only a few km above his town before morphing into an inconceivably bright pin point of light.
Time seemed to stop for a moment then the light grew and grew and grew until the young man's vision was completely filled with light.
And then there was nothing.
For A Long Time There Was Nothing . . .
[Some Time Later]
The young man groggily awoke seated in a comfortable leather chair.
Looking around he saw that he'd awoken in what seemed like an unusually cozy lawyers office.
But what really caught his attention was the Frightening figure which sat across from him behind a large wooden desk.
Sitting only a few meters away was a hugely tall brown robed figure whose face was shrouded in the dark depths of a monastic style hood. with a massive dagger toothed maw barely visible beneath.
The young man visibly shivered at the terrifying sight.
"Is....Is this hell?"
The creature froze from its writing and it's jaw creepily chattered for a short moment until it spoke.
But instead of the evil rasping he'd expected, the young man heard this terrifying eldritch demon speaking in a surprisingly friendly British tone.
"Oh Most certainly not 'Hell', We are in my Office....If it does seem like hell please let me know what I can change to make things a bit more welcoming for any who may come after you ********." The hooded creature spoke with a friendly tone, static replaced whatever his last word was which creeped out the young man to no end.
After a few frantic breaths he managed to muster a response.
"No.....Its....A nice office no doubt i like what you've done with the place." The young man spoke as calmly as he could but a faint quiver could still be heard in his voice.
"Why thank you, I do try to make any of my temporary wards have a good experience." The creature spoke with a distinct sense of pride in his voice.
"So....um.....what am I doing here? and Who are you?" The young man asked.
"My given name Is Theda'l Mlach A Designated Coordinator聽of Distinctly Awarded Souls, Spirits, Manifested Psyche's And Energies In Service To The Eternal Goddess...But you may call me Theda." The being spoke with a noticeably perfected head bow before gesturing with his hand for the young man to also make his introduction.
"Nice to meet you Theda, I am ******** ******." The young man spoke but found that when he said his name there was nothing but static that filled his ears and his eyebrows furrowed before trying to say his own name again but only static was heard as before.
"There won't be any of that, It is something I do to help souls like yours move on to the next phase." Theda spoke before unrolling a large scroll which he removed from somewhere within his dark brown robes.
"Now, we should probably get started on your paperwork.....First thing, What world would you like to go into?" Theda asked while holding a black ravens feather as a writing quill.
"Are there options?" The young man asked, his newfound excitement almost palpable.
"We've never compiled one, but I could tell you the most popular options I've seen.....Lets see here...The top ones are Konosuba, My Hero Academia, Reincarnated Into A Slime, Game of Thrones, Dragon Ball and so on and so on...Although I've read in your file that The Witcher 3 Is what you were playing moments before your death.....What about that one?" Theda asked.
[Mc Pov]
"Hmm the Witcher sounds interesting, but all the good women are taken.....and being in the same world as the Merchant Of Mirrors would be quite unwise." I spoke and聽Theda nodded in agreement.
"Aye That Gaunter Is A Wily One....Have You Perhaps Considered Highschool DxD? Plenty Of Maidens For A Maidenless Young Man Such As Yourself."
"I think I'd like something medieval though, I kind of like the Knight and Princess deal ya know?" The young man spoke with a slightly embarrased look on his face but he had no reason to worry since Theda'l Mlach was far more cultured than he could ever dream to be.
"What about Game of Thrones?" Theda Asked chile tapping his pen against one of his razor sharp teeth.
"Seems a bit better, but would I be a peasant? I'd hate to freeze to death in one of those year long winters." I asked just to be sure.
"You Would Not Get Such A Terrible Experience With Me, Perhaps If You Were Attended By My Evil Sister You'd Suffer Some Bullshit Like That." Theda spoke in a repulsed tone before shivering for a split second as if having a bad memory.
"Fine, I choose Game of Thrones." I spoke confidently.
"Very well.....Game....Of....Thrones....I'll put you in the best year so you can taste aplenty...There, No changing after making your choices so make sure you don't regret it.....Now Lets Get These Details Settled Eh?"
Theda spoke and before long the scroll slowly began to be filled with more than he'd been authorized to give by the Eternal Goddess 'I'm only making up for what my sister evilly withholds' The kind hearted Theda'l Mlach would think to himself every time he had a new 'customer'
"It seems we're all done, not every day that someone chooses to become a Witcher/ Dragonlord hybrid but certainly an interesting choice no doubt.....By the way, What will be your backstory? Such a distinct look would certainly attract attention." Theda asked curiously, he'd seen one too many reincarnated people die unnecessary deaths due to a shit backstory over the millions of souls he'd seen reincarnated during his training.
Can't claim to be from anywhere that exists from what you've told me.....Tell me Theda, What's West of Westeros?" I asked Theda and he froze for a moment before his bony mouth chattered excitedly and turned into a smile.
"Hehehe I like the way you think! Who can deny what they don't know eh? Truly a good move.....I can even rig up something to help you sell it well haha." Theda spoke excitedly while rubbing his hands like a villain.
"The last thing before we finalize the fine details, What name would you like to have....Make sure to make it impactful, A strong name can carry someone farther than you can imagine....After all, Power Resides Where Men Believe It Resides." Theda spoke with a strange tone in his voice as if imitating Conleth Hill
After a long time of contemplation I found something perfect.
"Aestorius Sallerich Von' Drakkon ." I spoke confidently after what seemed like an eternity of indecision.
"A Strong name, Reminds me a bit of my own." He spoke and we finished the final lines of the scroll.
"And so it seems we are nearly done, all that is needed now is your signature." Theda spoke and pushed the large parchment across the paper before an engraved Copper needle apparated on the desk in front of me.
"A drop of blood is all that's needed, after that you'll set off TO DESTINY!." Theda spoke with great excitement in his voice.
I looked over the parchment and verified everything was correct before taking the iron needle and pricking my thumb.
The Pierce hurt far more than it should have and the needle seemingly sucked on my blood since I was forced to squeeze the pierced flesh which finally caused a small droplet of bright crimson blood to dribble forth before falling onto the parchment, splashing slightly
Within moments I felt a hot searing pain in my chest and my vision began to turn black before Theda's friendly voice sounded in my ear.
"The first few days will be rough, but I know you can do it!" He spoke before finally my vision was entirely gone.
I felt my body freefalling for what seemed like an eternity. . .聽
[Some Time Later]
I awoke to a cacophony of sounds, the most distinct being the Air rushing past me and the Shrill screech of some massive creature.
Looking down I noticed I was strapped to a gray dragon which was freefalling over a massive bay just beside a flaming city.
"FUUUUUUUU!!!!" I screamed until the dragon slammed the water beneath me and sent a massive splash of water around me just as I hit the water.
I tried to swim up but found a chain which had been keeping me on the dragon would soon be the cause of my death.
I grabbed and searched under the water as the salt seared my sensitive pupils but eventually I managed to unlatch myself and kicked off the dragons corpse to the surface.
It was hard swimming聽but eventually I emerged above the rough waves and coughed my lungs out for a minute as I tried to catch my breath.
"What The Fuck...." I gasped out while looking around for land before I became shark food.
Eventually I spotted the shimmering outline of a ship upon the waves and started to swim towards it.
Almost instantly after I started swimming I noticed a leather bag strapped around my shoulder which weighed heavily but I assumed it was important so made no attempt to open it.聽
Eventually I reached the ship and pulled myself aboard with a dangling rope, Instantly I noticed my muscles were far stronger than they had been in my past life since climbing up was much easier than it should have been.
Once aboard the ship I laid on the ground and caught my breath for a minute before looking around.....Completely empty.
"What the fuck was that Theda....." I spoke aloud but got no response apart from the sails dropping by themselves and catching a massive violent wind which dropped my on my ass.
The ship sailed onward and I looked off the ships aft to the quickly disappearing city in the distance.
Words could not describe the cities beauty even through the flames, it was a spitting image of Tir n谩 Lia in the Witcher Three except with buildings ten times the height and expansive beyond belief.
"Leaving this for Westeros.....A day here would've been nice." I spoke while looking back at the beautiful burning city from which the screams of millions cut through the night air as if it were hell on earth.
Then I was overwhelmed by a terrible drowsiness which nearly dropped me from my feet.
"What the fuck, Better find a place to sit down...." I spoke before making my way to the small captain's cabin and shutting the door behind me.
I stripped my drenched clothes off and hung them from nearby hooks before collapsing on the swaying hammock and instantly fading into a deep sleep.
[Dark Coalition Navy]
Far in the distance the Coalition shipmen could see the ship which the Crown Prince of the once powerful Kingdom Of Malrath, Now consisting of a single descendant whom they rowed desperately to catch.
"Padlo'n Gyflymach!!!!!
"Mae angen inni ladd y tywysog damnedig hwnnw!!!!"
The Ships captain roared angrily, his black greasy beard shaking even more than its smarmy owner.
But to their desperation the Prince's ship only moved faster and faster into the horizon towards the M么r O Neidr', Or Sea Of Serpents in Common Tongue.聽
Eventually the Coalition sailors could see the crackling of lightning over the dark horizon and massive black thunderclouds the kinds of which they'd never seen and decided to stop their pursuit or they'd face certain death.
"Stopiwch padlo
Cawn ei weld yn diflannu i'r storm cyn troi yn 么l
Os na fydd y storm yn ei ladd, bydd seirff y m么r yn gwneud hynny"
The Captain Roared out, before long they all stopped paddling and watched intently until finally the prince's ship disappeared into the distance.
The Captain did not fear the survival of the last of the Drakkons, For he was certain that the lordling would face certain death either by the storm or whatever colossal evils lurked beneath the waters.
