Synopsis
In the world of wealth and privilege, Jennie Kim is the misunderstood daughter of a powerful businessman. Scarred by her father's betrayal after her mother's death and forced to take on responsibilities far beyond her years, she has developed a cold, ruthless exterior that has earned her the reputation of a "devil" among her peers. Everyone believes the rumours: that she's heartless, promiscuous, and untouchable. But beneath her tough façade lies a lonely girl longing for connection and acceptance. Enter Jisoo, the charismatic and talented captain of the university basketball team, admired by everyone, especially the girls who flock to her. Living with her childhood friend Rosé after losing her own parents, Jisoo finds solace in her close-knit friendship with Rosé and their other friend, Lisa. When Jennie unexpectedly becomes a special guest at Jisoo's final game, everything changes. Drawn to Jisoo's confidence and warmth, Jennie feels an overwhelming desire to possess her. However, her infatuation takes a dark turn as she begins to issue warnings to other girls vying for Jisoo's attention. When threats are made against those who approach Jisoo, Jennie finds herself entwined in a dangerous game of obsession and jealousy. Lisa, Jennie's cousin, has always known about Jennie's reputation and is determined to protect Jisoo from her presumed devilish tendencies. As their worlds collide, Jisoo finds herself torn between loyalty to her friends and the undeniable connection she feels with Jennie. But Lisa's protective instincts kick in, and she warns Jennie to stay away, convinced that Jennie's reputation is a mask for her true intentions. Jennie and Jisoo must confront their feelings for one another. Is Jennie truly the devil everyone believes her to be, or is there more to her story? Can Jisoo break through Jennie's walls and uncover the truth, or will their love be consumed by the shadows of jealousy and betrayal? ---

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1:

"God, I don't know when these kids will grow up," Rosé sighed, her frustration evident as she walked toward the kitchen. "It's so late. I need to make breakfast and get ready, and most importantly, I need to wake the stupid lazy kid." She opened the refrigerator door, only to find it nearly empty. "Of course, she'll eat. Why wouldn't she? She has a maid to make breakfast. Yes, that's me—ParkChaeYoung."

Returning to the kitchen, Rosé glanced at her watch. "It's already 8:09 AM. At this rate, we'll miss breakfast." With a determined sigh, she left the kitchen and headed for the living room. Just as she was about to walk down the hallway, the doorbell rang.

"It must be the other idiot," she muttered, opening the door to reveal a very sleepy girl leaning against the wall.

"Come on, Lisa, you're late again!" Rosé exclaimed, exasperated.

Ignoring Rose's complaint, Lisa handed her a box and ambled toward the couch like a zombie.

"What is this?" Rosé asked, opening the box.

"Mama sent breakfast for you both. And don't tell me unni is still in her dreams," Lisa replied, a glimmer of hope in her voice.

"Yes, she is. And thank your mom for breakfast; otherwise, we wouldn't be eating…" Rosé didn't finish her sentence as Lisa suddenly jumped out of her room, full of energy.

"Don't sleep with her! Wake her up, okay?" Rosé shouted after her.

Jisoo's POV:

I was sleeping peacefully, snoring loudly—well, not really, but let's pretend. Just then, a heavy weight landed on me.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh! monkey, get off me! You're going to kill me someday. But if you don't wake up now, I swear I'll kill you," I warned, but as usual, she just snuggled closer, cocooned in the blanket.

"Buddy, I missed you! That chipmunk has been driving me crazy with her relentless Callingon my phone and mom add with loud knocking," she complained, a hint of desperation in her tone.

"Don't worry; she tortures me too. Just ignore her," I replied, trying to squirm out from under her, but she was surprisingly strong.

"Vero, I have a plan. We'll run away to the forest, and no one will wake us up there. We can sleep for years!" she suggested excitedly, sitting up so I could finally escape.

"Actually, that sounds great. You can cuddle with the monkey, and I'll snuggle with a lion. What do you think?" I teased dramatically.

"Never, no way! I'm more afraid of animals than Rosé. That's a stupid idea!" she retorted, finally getting up.

"Just like all your ideas," I teased back, heading toward the bathroom.

"Don't forget, byddy, my ideas always help you! Remember, I'm the one you come to when girls want you in their pants," she called after me.

That was true, but it didn't mean she was smart. She just had a knack for handling girls effortlessly while I preferred a more casual approach. I didn't want to end up with just anyone; I needed to be selective.

"I know! But the world isn't that dumb, Lisa. Before the hungry chipmunk comes and devours us, go help her. I'll be there in a few minutes," I replied, and she agreed.

I quickly finished my morning routine, feeling the pressure of time.

After breakfast, we piled into Lisa's car, and the ride to university was filled with the familiar sounds of complaints. Rosé grumbled about our lateness while Lisa lamented her sleepiness. I stayed quiet, catching up on sleep during the drive.

As we parked and entered the university, I noticed the atmosphere felt different. Students filled the hallways, and many turned to stare, whispering among themselves.

"I think you both did something again. The students are so obvious today," Rosé remarked, suspicious.

"Chaeng, why do you always assume we did something wrong? Maybe we're just too hot to handle, and that's why they're staring," Lisa replied, puffing out her chest.

Just then, our teammate, Joungyoun, approached us. "Hey, Lisa, Jisoo, you're late again."

"What did we miss, Joungyoun?" Lisa asked, curious.

"Yes, go check the noticeboard!" Joungyoun replied, hurrying off.

"Seriously? You can't just tell us?" I sighed, feeling annoyed as we made our way to the noticeboard.

As we approached, I saw a large poster proclaiming a contest: "Who is the Most Handsome in the University: Kim Jisoo or Mr, Jogin kim ? Vote for Your Favourite!"

"Of course it's me! I mean, girls like me more than him. Just look at me—there's no competition!" I declared proudly, striking a pose.

"No doubt my unni is more handsome. I'll vote for Vero, buddy!" Lisa exclaimed, walking over to the board to cast her vote.

Rosé chimed in, "Honestly, you are more handsome. I'll vote for you, too." With that, I pulled her into a hug.

"You're the best! I know you have a crush on me," I winked, relishing the moment.

"Excuse me! Don't forget there are three of us!" lisa Said, playfully shoving us both.

"I'll vote for myself too. Come on, Lisa, take my picture!" I said, making my way to the board as Lisa snapped a photo. All eyes were on me, and I could feel the confidence radiating from within.

"Let's head to class now," Rosé ordered, and we followed her, excitement buzzing in the air.
