Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

Pov: Prince Ares

"Good afternoon, and welcome home, your Royal Highness. The king and queen are asking for you." Gerald, the head butler, says.

"Thank you, Gerald. They will have to wait. I have important matters to attend to. Have a good day. Please let everyone know I do not want to be bothered while I'm in my room." I say as I walked up the stairs on my way up to my room, my best friend and soon-to-be Royal Beta messages my phone

"Yo man, hurry up, your crazy sister is driving me nuts and being a pain in my ass." Lucifer says

I rolled my eyes and left him to read.

I walked up the stairs and hurried to the meeting room. We are planning a surprise party for my parents's 100th anniversary. Yes, you heard that right. My parents have been married for 100 years. That's the joy of being royals; we live up to 300 years. I entered the meeting room, and I saw Lucifer, Penelope, and our head butler, Gerald. So what are the plans, everyone?

"Hello, man, how was your latest lay?" My sister, Penelope, asks

I mean, she ain't lying. I have become a big man whore. But hey, I am 26 years old, and I have needs. I haven't found my mate yet, but I can blame a guy. We normally find our mates at 17 years old, and I have not found mine yet. That means she either died or she hasn't shifted yet.

"So what are the plans for the king and queen party later this month?

Lucifer asks"

"I was thinking we start with putting food out for the villagers and invite the surrounding areas for games and dancing. Mom and Dad love to involve their people. They normally go and visit them, so why not bring them to our village for once?" Penelope says

"I agree. Let's get invites sent out and get everything ready so we can have this party next week. In two weeks, we have to leave and go to the meeting with our rather, Lucier.

And go over all the changes and threats we have going on with the supernatural leaders." I tell my sister

A week later

I looked over to Gerald and asked him if everything was ready and planned for tomorrow. I want everything to be perfect and set up well. We are in the village.

Tomorrow morning we are leaving here around noon. I want everything set up by 7 p.m. We will be back around so they can get ready.

"Yes, sir, we have everything hidden in the barn waiting to be set up when you are in the village. Also, sir our villagers have everything ready to go."

Perfect, thank you, Gerald.

Pov Scarlet

"Scarlet, did you get that invite for the King and Queen anniversary too? Asked Cate'

"Yes, I did, and I don't want to go. I also have nothing to wear; it's bad enough. I have to go to this meeting with my dad. In a week, but it also happens to be the same day as my birthday. I'm worried the leaders won't agree to my dad giving the pack. Not only am I a female, but I'm a witch, not a wolf. Who in their right mind would be okay with a witch running a wolf pack? Thes won't even allow us to be friends." I say to her

"Sorry, you worry too much; they already know that Alpha and Luna adopted you, so why worry? It's not like they can stop you from taking over the pack. They know you love everyone here, and they all love you.

Plus, every pack has a healer and a witch, so what's the big deal? " Cate replies back

Cate, sometimes I think you are too clueless about what is going on. But I just love how positive you try to be.

Anyway, girl, do you have your dress picked out for this party?" I say

So Cate starts to tell me about the dress her mom got her. It was a beautiful red ball gown, and she couldn't wait to wear it and asked me to help her get ready since I didn't want to go. And of course, I give in and help her get ready; she is my best friend. How can I not help her? Scar, are you sure you don't want to go? Asked Luna Amber

I'm sure, Mom. I hate crowds, you know this. Plus, there will be a lot of dancing, and I have two left feet.

And someone will end up hurt. You guys go and have fun! I love you!

With that, they left me alone for the next two days before I headed out for the meeting, which I had to travel to get to.
