Chapter 10 - (Xiao Wu): It seems like my first kiss is going to be gone!!!

At the entrance of the seventh dormitory stood a young girl.

She was adorable, about the same height as Ye Feng, and appeared to be only six years old. Her fair skin was tinged with a healthy rosiness, making her stand out from the rest. Her cheeks were pink and tender, resembling a ripe peach that evoked an urge to take a bite.

The girl's attire was simple: a pink short skirt that revealed her slender, fair calves. Her brown hair was tied into a neat braid that reached just past her perky hips. A pair of large, watery eyes glistened with curiosity as she observed the dormitory's furnishings.

Most striking of all were her light pink rabbit ears, which added a finishing touch to her charm. Coupled with her bright, curious gaze, she was truly an enchanting sight.

"A girl?" Tang San exclaimed in surprise.

Wang Sheng explained with a sigh, "This is just a junior soul master academy, so boys and girls aren't separated yet. They'll only live in separate dorms once we reach the intermediate academy. There weren't any work-study students in the last two years, but this year, we've got three."

The little girl repeated her question, "No one's answering me? Is this the seventh dormitory?"

"This is the seventh dormitory," Wang Sheng replied. He glanced at Ye Feng, then placed a hand on Ye Feng's back and pushed him forward. "Boss, a newcomer has arrived. You've got to show her the ropes. Go on, show her your strength."

Ye Feng, still caught up in observing the little girl, was abruptly shoved forward. He couldn't help but admit to himself that she was incredibly cute.

The girl seemed a bit shy, but her large eyes sparkled as she remembered the advice from her villagers: Smile more when meeting new people; it's harder to be mad at someone who smiles. She immediately broke into a sweet smile and introduced herself, "Hello, everyone! My name is Xiao Wu. Xiao as in 'little,' and Wu as in 'dance.'"

"Hello, my name is Ye Feng. Ye for 'leaf,' and Feng for 'peak.' I'm the boss here," Ye Feng replied with a polite smile.

"Boss?" Xiao Wu interrupted him playfully, tilting her head. "Ye for leaf, Feng for peak—leaves and peaks? My martial soul is a rabbit, so wouldn't that make you my home?"

"Haha, you've got a sense of humor," Ye Feng chuckled. He then continued, "My martial soul is… pear blossom. Here in the seventh dormitory, we have a rule: new students must compete with the boss. The loser has to listen to the winner and respect them as the boss. So, we need to duel."

"Are you sure?" Xiao Wu asked, her tone brimming with confidence.

"I'm sure," Ye Feng said firmly.

Though Ye Feng's actual martial soul was the mutated Nine Heart Mystical Begonia, known for its exceptional healing abilities, he chose to identify it as "pear blossom" to avoid unnecessary trouble. His official martial spirit certificate from Spirit Hall also labeled it as such.

As a time traveler, Ye Feng knew Xiao Wu's first soul skill, Waist Bow, gave her a significant advantage in close combat. Although he hadn't fully mastered the human-sword unity technique taught by his master, Sword Douluo Chen Xin, he felt confident. With his enhanced strength and knowledge of Xiao Wu's vulnerabilities, he believed he could turn the tide in his favor and rewrite the story.

"Yes! Let's do this!" Xiao Wu said excitedly, handing her belongings to Wang Sheng.

Before Ye Feng could prepare himself, Xiao Wu lunged at him with a sweeping kick aimed at his legs. Her movements were swift and sharp, catching him slightly off guard.

Fortunately, Ye Feng reacted quickly, stomping hard and leaping backward to dodge the attack.

Not one to back down, Xiao Wu pressed forward, her nimble feet barely touching the ground as she launched another round of strikes.

The two engaged in a fierce exchange—kicks, punches, evasions, and counters. Despite her considerable experience as a 100,000-year-old soul beast in human form, Xiao Wu couldn't help but admire Ye Feng. For a mere six-year-old boy to hold his own against her in close combat was remarkable.

In the Great Star Dou Forest, even the Titan Giant Ape and the Sky Blue Bull Python respected her as "Sister Xiao Wu." Here, however, she faced someone who was her equal, if not a potential rival. The thought of losing her title as "boss" spurred her determination to win.

Suddenly, Xiao Wu's body radiated a faint light—her first soul skill, Waist Bow, activated.

Exploiting her agility, Xiao Wu darted toward Ye Feng, her body twisting and weaving unpredictably. She climbed onto Ye Feng like a nimble rabbit scaling a tree. At times, she appeared on his right, then his left, and sometimes directly in front of him. Her fluid, boneless movements left Ye Feng struggling to keep up. Finally, she aimed to lock his waist with her legs for her signature Rabbit Kicking the Eagle technique.

At that moment, Ye Feng smirked—this was the opening he had been waiting for.

Bang!

Ye Feng countered swiftly, twisting Xiao Wu's wrist mid-move while surging forward with all his strength.

Caught off guard, Xiao Wu was forced to the ground. The impact left her dazed and momentarily vulnerable.

"Ouch!" Xiao Wu yelped, her tone laced with pain and indignation.

As they tumbled, Ye Feng realized with horror that their fall had brought his face dangerously close to hers. For a split second, he thought their lips might touch.

Xiao Wu's mind blanked out. Her cheeks flushed crimson, and she panicked internally: My first kiss—gone?

Yet, when the moment passed, she realized with relief that Ye Feng had stopped just short. Their noses were only a few centimeters apart.

"Why aren't you getting up?" Xiao Wu demanded, glaring at Ye Feng with flustered indignation.

Ye Feng quickly rolled off her and stood up, offering his hand to help her. "Thank you for the match," he said calmly.

Xiao Wu also got to her feet, rubbing her sore hip. Her pink cheeks puffed out in a mix of embarrassment and frustration. "So, according to the rules, I have to call you… Boss?" she muttered reluctantly.

Just then, a crisp notification echoed in Ye Feng's mind.

Ding Dong!

"Congratulations! You have successfully altered the storyline of Douluo Dalu: Defeated Wang Sheng before Tang San and retained the position of Boss of Dormitory Seven after defeating Xiao Wu. Reward: 3 attribute points to allocate freely."
