5:53 PM
No one was around so Remo sat on a chair facing the doorway.
"Well, the funny things are that she learned about our departure."
"Whoa!... Sounds like you would have a lot of explaining to do."
"Nah, everything's gonna be okay. Just a love bite! It would heal."
"Let's get out from here!"
They walked separately on their cabins it was not far away.
"See you at dinner six thirty, Remo."
"Okay. Please prepare the certificate of acceptance for the materials."
"No worries! All I needed are forgers!" Peter expression was relaxed.
"Thanks, see you tonight at the mess hall!"
While on his way, the upbeat feelings this morning was replaced by a bleak of hums and moans.
As he entered his room, he marched to his working desk and flung open his laptop.
Updating his card number was required for the on-line money transfer. And sending money nowadays is more convenient and efficient.
Just log into your bank account platform, key in your credit card number and the amount of money to transfer.
After typing his mother's account numbers, a short notice immediately came out in a few seconds.
'Please wait. A security check is needed to approve the transfer.'
Another few minutes later, a notice of confirmation was sent by the bank.
'Your money transfer of $30,000 has been approved. Thank you for using online banking systems.'
At the opposite side of the camp, in the darkness of her room, Mayi sat on her bed.
Thinking how he met Remo --- the memory of losing him lingers all throughout her.
She was terrified to even believe about it.
How he kept her safe filled out her minds thinking about their trip at the restaurant … the lovemaking that goes after, and so on and so forth…
She went from aghast to being betrayed, shocked to furious in less than a second.
Ultimately, she was confused of the unusual events unfolding before her eyes.
After so many hours of being disoriented, she fell asleep still crying.
She again woke up at nightfall in desolation then bursts into tears again lasting for quite a while.
"Running away … starting over?... It's not easy as people might think. She could not leave and give up everything just like that!"
On the upper side of the camp, Remo's gaze landed on the computer clock.
He picked up his mobile phone and went outside the balcony.
"It should be past 4:00 PM at home. Mom will be leaving the market soon." He asked himself.
After a few seconds of waiting, his call was accepted.
"Hello mom, your money been transferred today."
"Nice to know. I'll check my account tomorrow morning. I'm busy at the moment! Didn't you just get back from site? How was it?"
"Same story, mom. I stay at the construction site the whole day, then do my reports at nighttime."
The chitchat continued for a few more minutes after which Remo stared at the clock again.
Attempting to catch his mates at the canteen, he ended and promised to call during his free time.
"Bye, Mom, I'm taking my dinner in a while. See you soon!"
"Goodnight, Remo! Thank you, son."
The following week, Remo couldn't help but wonder the unpredictability of Mayi who started to be quiet the moment she learned about their relocation.
She still smiles to everyone, even with Peter when they meet at the office, but has been boldly ignoring him.
"Bro don't feel guilty. She's taking her time off. It's just a heartache; she's not heart broken." Peter nudges him while laughing.
"Shushhh…keep your voice down. What I'm curious about whether she could display her coldness for a longer time." he exclaimed with a smile.
"Has someone even caught our unusual relationship?"
"Not that I knew of, except from me of course!" Peter seriously emphasized.
"She's in the process of suppressing her anger. Give her another week of solitude."
"I'm about to call. What if she can't?... I know it's hard for her at first!"
"Should I tell her that?" Peter laughs loudly.
"Are you dumb?" his eyes wide open.
By the way bro, can we manage the admin building in two months?""
"We started last week. On target! You better solve her heart first!"
"Yeah, sure bro! Let's go."
As they strode towards the exit door, Remo couldn't help but think the possibilities he felt when Astrid went away to continue her studies abroad.
It's exactly the same feelings with Mayi.
It was like being stuck in the dark threatening to swallow him as a whole.
Even with a talent beyond his physical being, he could not control his emotions.
It was quite chilling for him to know that….
That night as he was cooling off in the shower, a firm knock was heard from the door.
His perception pointed out it was Mayi.
With a flick of his finger, his robe flew over to him and wear it to cover his naked body.
Seemingly after opening the door, Mayi instantly entered inside.
"Who the hell do you think you are, hah?"
With two fists pounding on his chests, she cried and cried!
Remo let her be and didn't mind it at all.
"I hate you Remo Hunter, I really hate you!"
In the next moment, he suddenly cups her chin and kissed her passionately expressing his affection and intimacy.
It was simply pressing his lips against hers.
Instantly, she stopped struggling and fiercely kissed him back.
Remo let it last for a few seconds before drawing his lips away keeping it close enough to her lips almost touching.
"How long would you be able to say you're going to ignore me babes?"
Tiny moans and whispers were only heard from her.
Remo kissed her again increasing the passion further.
This time getting a little more adventurous.
He gently bites her lower lips grazing his teeth as he pulled away.
He moved his head down to nibble lightly on her neck and other places where Mayi likes.
Gently, Remo embraced and pulled her towards him, body touching, running his hand on her back and grabbed her butts harder.
Mayi was turned on.
Her heart rate speeds up with the sensation. She wrapped her hands around him.
That night--- it was very explosive!
