Saturday morning arrived, and Amelia's anxiety grew. She barely had a good night sleep, her mind was racing with thoughts of Rafael and the impending meeting with his family
As she dressed in a beautiful sundress outfit which complimented her rich skin that Amelia's mother had chosen for her, ensuring the dress was perfect for Amelia .
"Amelia, you look lovely," her mother said, beaming. "Rafael will love you."
Amelia faked a smile, feeling like a commodity on display.
At the Gomez residence, Amelia's family was greeted by Rafael's mother, Mrs. Gomez, a stately woman with a warm smile.
"Welcome, welcome," Mrs. Gomez said, embracing Amelia's mother. "We're so glad you could come."
As they entered the opulent living room, Amelia spotted Rafael, standing by the window, sipping a cup of tea. Their eyes met, and he nodded curtly.
Rafael features were chiseled, his eyes piercing, but Amelia detected a hint of reserve, a guardedness that made her wonder.
The meeting began with small talk – discussions of weather, family, and business. Amelia parents and Mrs. Gomez dominated the conversation, while Rafael and Amelia exchanged brief, polite responses.

"So, Amelia," he said, his voice low, deep and smooth. "Tell me, what do you enjoy doing?"
Amelia hesitated, unsure how much to reveal.
"I...I like photography," she said, watching for his reaction.
Rafael expression remained neutral.
"Photography," he repeated. "That's...interesting."
