Chapter 6: Beneath the Surface
The night of the gala, Amelia returned home with a sense of hope. Perhaps, she thought, this arranged marriage wouldn't be so bad after all.
As she drifted off to sleep, her mind replayed the moments she shared with Rafael – the laughter, the conversations, the spark in his eyes. Amelia was overwhelmed
The next morning, Amelia's mother burst into her room.
Screaming "Amelia, wake up! Rafael's family is coming for lunch today."
Amelia's heart skipped a beat.
"What? Why?" She was shocked and surprised at thesame time
"They want to finalize the wedding details," her mother explained.
Amelia's stomach twisted into knots.
Finalize the wedding details? Why?
It was happening. That Fast.

As the meal concluded, Mrs. Gomez turned to Amelia
"Dear, we need to discuss your role in the family business."
Aisha's eyes widened.
"Role? What role?"
Mrs. Gomez smiled sweetly at her
"As Rafael's wife, you'll manage the Gomez Foundation. It's a family tradition."
Amelia's mind reeled.
No one had mentioned this.
"Rafael did you know?" she asked.
Rafael's expression turned sheepish.
"I...I didn't want to burden you."
Amelia felt betrayed. Was all those words he said to just word, Amelia ask herself
Burden?

"Why didn't you tell me about the foundation?" she demanded.

"I didn't want to scare you off. My family can be...overwhelming."
Amelia anger softened.
"Rafael , I need your honesty. No more secrets."
Rafael eyes locked onto hers. She felt her heart skip a beat
"I promise. No more secrets."
Amelia nodded, a fragile trust forming.
But beneath the surface, doubts lingered.
Could she truly trust Rohan?
And what other secrets lay hidden?

As she met the staff, Amelia realized the foundation's scope – education, healthcare, and women's empowerment.
