Systems are of course, systems... But how can you take a unique spin on the concept?
A novel that I heavily regard as peak fiction is called 'I hate systems', about a story of a man who goes on a journey to kill all systems, parasitic beings who run powers to their host and at the end of their lives—kill them. It's a really unique take on the idea of ' systems ' saying as it's more of a reverse on the genre.
Along with that, you got to make sure that your systems themselves are interesting. Are you going to have the basic system with a level up feature and shop, or maybe you're going to have a system that steers the host into a specific path, who knows since it's your choice.
