"Your still breathing aren't you?" Angel rolled his eyes while finally taking a good look around.
The room they were in was dim, The air thick with mildew and dust. Shadows filled the space, but Angel could just make out stacks of old, Boxes piled high in one corner. It looked like a storage room that had long since been abandoned. The only notable feature was the solid, Closed door far to his right.
"What do we do?" Axon's voice trembled slightly, Betraying the calm he tried to force.
"Wait for the right moment" Kade lifted his lip while flexing to see if he could break the ropes.
"If there is one" Angel added with his lips pressing into a thin line remembering the man with the red eyes.
"It's the red circuit" He let out a sigh causing the others to turn stiff.
"Are you sure?" Kade asked, Warness evident in his tone.
"I saw one of them before I was knocked out" Angel shrugged as if it was no big deal but the others didn't buy his calm act.
"Your fault" Sable looked toward Kade with a rare icy expression.
"How was I supposed to know the building belonged to the red circuit?" He opened his own eyes in an exaggerated manner.
"We should have left the second we saw the eclipsium" Angel sighed once more feeling that he should have listened to his instincts.
"What!" Axon and Milo's voices overlapped in shock.
"You saw eclipsium?" Milo's voice was mixture of disbelief and excitement.
"We stole some" Kade smirked but his lips twitched with Angel's unimpressed gaze.
"Holy shit" Axon muttered, His mind clearly racing.
"Where is it?" Milo struggled against the ropes, His face burning with curiosity.
"I'd check my pocket but…" Angel said dryly, Gesturing to his bound hands making Milo look at him awkwardly.
"Why didn't you tell us?" It wasn't until Axon spoke did Angel notice his expressson of annoyance.
"It was best to keep it a secret until we knew what to do with it" Kade was the one who answered in his place.
"Don't you think—" Axon frowned not expecting the response yet his words cut off with the sound of footsteps.
"Quite" Sable gazed at the door and proceeded to close her eyes.
Milo and Kade followed suit with Axon giving one last glance to Angel and pretending to be unconscious as well.
Angel closed his eyes while listening to the footsteps getting closer and closer, Yet instead of the usual darkness, The image of a fallen Ironhaven was burned into his memory.
'….' It made him feel uncomfortable, As if reliving the oceans of blood that flowed through the city.
Angels thoughts were broken when the door to the room finally opened, The floor creaked in response to the visitors, Angel kept calm and listened.
'There's two of them'
He could hear the floor creaking louder at the first figure while the second seemed to move delicately.
"Naughty kids" A man's voice sounded out, Tinged with amusement.
"Pretending to be sleep" His words made Angel stiffen realizing that they had been seen through.
'Maybe he's bluffing' He thought but decided that there was really no point in continuing the facade.
"…." Angel was the first to opened his eyes.
He looked toward his companions who seemed to have the same thoughts, Opening theirs as well before he gazed toward his right where an open door and two figures covered in shadows greeted him.
The first figure was a man whose meticulously neat appearance seemed strikingly out of place in the depths. His black hair, Slicked back and glistening with oil, Carried a polished sheen that looked purposeful rather than for vainty sake, Although far from tacky.
instead, It exuded a sense of calculated professionalism.
Perhaps this impression was enhanced by the man's undeniable attractiveness. His sharp chiseled features seemed almost sculpted, He gave off the appearance of a man who was undoubtedly very popular with the opposite gender and his neat black suit only added to the charm.
'His eyes…' But was truly caught Angel's attention were the modded eyes that glowed with a crimson hue.
Eye modifications weren't rare in the depths, Actually being one of the most commen. Mainly because most had bad eyesight from the dim mechanical light that filled their surroundings. The sun was still up above somewhere yet centuries of pollution had caused the sky to be nothing but a fog of endless filth.
The Luxborn simulated day and night through the artificial sun they created with eclipsium.
While the residual light fell onto the depths.
'It really is the red circuit' Angels guard which had never fallen since the second he woke up grew.
'And a woman' His gaze fell past the neatly dressed man toward a slender woman who stood just behind him.
Angel couldn't see her probably, Not just because of the shadows but due to the black mask that covered her face. All that was reveled were two crimson modded eyes that held coldness. The slight sway of her sleek, shoulder-length black hair added an almost ghostly quality to her presence.
Unlike the man her outfit wasn't as eye catching.
A black trench coat reached down to her kneels held together by a black belt just around her seemingly thin waist. Despite being fully covered Angel could tell she was more then well endowed in the chest area.
Not that he was purposely looking.
"Now that's better" The red eyed man smiled as he saw all of them staring his way.
"I have to say" He clicked his tongue while walking over to the side of the room and grabbing a wooden chair.
"I didn't expect the thieves to be a bunch of snot nose brats" Angel watched as the man dragged the chair in front of them.
He turned it around before taking a seat, Leaning his head on the back with a disappointed smile.
"Steeling is very bad kids"
