"Especially from me" The man said with his smile fading and crimson eyes narrowing dangerously.
The temperature seemed to plummet further, a tangible cold seeping into Angel's skin as an almost imperceptible tension settled over the group. The air itself seemed to thicken, Heavy with unspoken threats.
Angel's jaw tightened, His eyes glancing toward the others before speaking.
"It was me" He spoke with his tone unwavering, Carrying no trace of hesitation.
"The others had no knowledge about it" Angel saw Kade's eyes go wide from the side and Sable trembling slightly.
A faint flicker of surprise crossed the man's face before it twisted into amusement. He tilted his head, Studying Angel as though trying to peel away the layers of his resolve.
"You're a good liar, Kid" The man said, His tone sharp and condescending.
"But there's just one problem with your story" He continued, Tapping his finger thoughtfully on the back of the chair.
His crimson eyes scanned the group with unsettling precision before landing on Angel who met his gaze not backing down.
"There were three who broke into my place. And I don't make mistakes" The man spoke without doubt making Angel clench his hands.
His eyes quickly scanned the room taking in every detail, His mind raced trying to figure out a way to get them out of here but he was left blank. Even if their hands weren't tied Angel had no doubt in his mind that the neatly dressed man was formidable, Not to mention the masked woman who hadn't even moved an inch since she had stepped into the room.
"Now the question is what should I do with you?" The man's crimson eyes seemed to shine in response.
"What do you think Vivian?" He glanced over his shoulder toward the masked woman.
Angel would have mistaked her for a statue if he couldn't see her chest moving rhythmicly from her breathing. Yet he was surprised when a gentle voice escaped the intimidating woman.
"Didn't you need to deal with Theon?" She titled her head ever so slightly as her silky hair swayed across her shoulders.
"That's a great idea!" The crimson eyed man clapped his hands together making Angel feel on edge.
'Theon?' For some reason Angel couldn't help but think that name sounded slightly familiar.
Although his thoughts were forced away when the man's gaze settled on him once more. He seemed to be purposely ignoring the others, Angel didn't know wether to be relived or wary that the man focused on him.
"You seem like the leader of your litte group"
"Or am I wrong?" The man asked and Angel only stared in response, His eyes never leaving the crimson metal irises.
"Tough crowd" A soft sigh left the man's mouth as he tapped the back of the chair once more.
"Look, I don't like killing kids...despite what many may think" The man rolled his eyes comically but Angel didn't miss the connotation in his words.
The man didn't like killing kids, But that didn't mean he wouldn't.
"But I do believe in second chances" Angel noticed the expression on his face turning slightly softer.
"So if you help me with a little problem of mine then…" The crimson eyed man stared intently at Angel before letting his eyes trail to Sable and the others.
"I'll be more inclined to letting you and your friends leave"
"What do you say?" The room turned silent at the man's offer and Angel felt the gazes from his companions.
Angel had no idea what a street rat like him could possibly help the man in front of him with. Yet He knew that there really wasn't a choice in the matter, His life and the life's of his friends hung in the balance.
"…..I'll do it"
