Chapter 4 - Story and Reality

Chapter 4: Story and Reality

At first, my new world in this time and place—one of farming and myths—was nothing more than a dream to me. It was just a strange idea in my mind, where everything reminded me of the fantasy worlds I had read about in my previous life.

I was the type who loved immersing myself in books and fantasy novels about heroes' adventures, boundless powers, and the secrets of life and death.

Novels were my favorite world, where I escaped from the routine of daily life, diving into their details, living their events as if they were part of my own life.

I was always searching for books that would take me to unknown realms, worlds filled with magic, combat, and mythical creatures.

And in one of those novels I read before I died, there was a world similar to the one I now find myself in.

A world where the forces of spiritual farming intertwine, where humans use spiritual energy to gain unnatural powers and battle legendary beasts and powerful entities.

The world in the novel was full of intricate details that made me feel as if I were living in a place resembling that reality, though I never imagined I would one day find myself in the middle of that story.

I would amuse myself by reading it, enjoying every chapter, imagining myself in the hero's place, facing challenges and overcoming them with intelligence and strength.

The novel depicted different stages of cultivation, such as strengthening the body, awakening energy, and ultimately reaching the legendary phase of the golden core and transcendence.

Though these stages were fictional, they represented the hero's destiny for me, and they gave me a greater ambition to become like those heroes who achieve great feats.

But the biggest surprise came after my death.

I found myself in a world that resembled that novel completely—no, it was the same world.

The laws I had read about in the book were now unfolding before my eyes, and the words that were once mere fantasy had become part of my daily life.

This world was exactly as the author had described: spiritual farming, legendary monsters, techniques for fighting and controlling energy. Everything was in place, as if I had been transported to another realm because of the novel I had loved to read.

When I grasped this, my first feeling was astonishment. How could this be real? How had I become part of the very story I had once read? Was this my destiny, written for me? Or was I in a long dream that I would wake from one day? I didn't know the answer, but what I did know was that I was stuck here, in the world of the novel I had thought was merely fiction.

My prior knowledge of the novel's details gave me an advantage in this new world.

I already knew the events the hero would go through and the people he would encounter.

I was learning and training quickly, making use of every chapter I had read.

I could predict what would happen, but at the same time, I felt I had to change this reality.

I didn't want to be just a character in a story written by someone else; I wanted to be the hero who writes his own story.

Over time, I began to notice how some people in this world treated me as if I were also part of that novel.

They saw in me a character with immense potential, coming from "pure blood," as they would say, but they didn't know that I had already been there in the story before living it.

Some moments stirred complex emotions within me because I knew how certain events would end, but I decided I would not be just a "side character" in this story. I would be the hero who writes the ending the way I wanted.

I realized in those moments that I was not just a reincarnation of a past life or a reflection of a story written in another time.

I was here now, in this world, and I had the power to change the course of events—at least for myself.

Though I was in a world inspired by a novel I had read in my previous life, I decided I would not allow this world to control me the way the novel controlled its characters.

I would be the one to reshape the future, and I would not let this world dictate the way I lived.

I wanted to control everything.

I wanted to be the one who controlled the powers I had only read about in books, and I wanted to be stronger than any fictional hero I had encountered in the novels I had read.

I began studying the farming system more, absorbing its intricate details, and working on developing my abilities to become the strongest in this world.

I knew I was facing a rare opportunity, an opportunity to change the course of this world and demand a new future, far from the novel that had ruled everyone.

As I made my plans and designed the course of my life in this new world, I began to feel that I wasn't living in a borrowed world from a book or a story, but in a new reality that required me to adapt and fight for control.

The initial idea I had about this world was just a superficial image, but over time, I began to discover the depth of its laws and its complex system.

Though it was inspired by a novel I had read, it became more than just fantasy to me.

The small details I hadn't anticipated were what made me realize that I was part of this reality, not just a passive observer. Every person in this world had their role and place, and it was up to me to discover my own.

At first, I tried to follow the traditional path most heroes in the stories I had read would take.

But I soon realized that this path was not the one I wanted to follow.

I didn't have time to waste following the world's laws as they were imposed on me. I wouldn't be the hero's friend, like in the novel where the villain is the hero's friend.

I started thinking differently.

If this world was full of rules and systems that limited my freedom, I would not allow these rules to control my life—I would break them.

I would not be just another character with a preordained ending; I would be the one to rewrite everything around me.

I knew I had the knowledge that could give me an advantage over others.

I knew how things would unfold and the challenges I would face.

But that wasn't enough.

What I needed was the ability to surpass everyone, the ability to break free from the constraints, and to reshape the ending of this world.

I decided to follow this path, even if it meant death in the end.

My life, if I could say it, was a single chance to prove myself in this world.

Not by following the rules set by the writer.

I would be the one to decide the ending, the one who would control the hero's life.

I knew I wouldn't be able to do this without effort, but I was determined to start making it happen.

Even if it meant facing greater forces than me, or challenges that everyone thought were insurmountable.

It wasn't just about physical strength or fighting skills; it was about the ability to keep going despite all the odds.

I had no time to retreat because retreating meant defeat.

And defeat meant I would be stuck in this world like any other fictional character, living the life of the villain who is defeated by the hero.

I was ready to risk everything for change.

And I was prepared to seize every opportunity the hero would receive in the novel, even if it meant taking opportunities from others or even putting myself in danger.

Because I knew that this was the only way to achieve what I aspired to. To be someone who couldn't be ignored. Someone who had the power to control their destiny and achieve their ambitions.

The journey I embarked on was filled with challenges, but it was also full of hope. Hope that I could change this world, and hope that I would not just be a side character in a story written by others. I would be the hero of my story, and I would write every chapter in my own way—even if it meant facing enemies stronger than me.

I will never give up.

And this made my resolve even stronger and more determined to achieve my ambitions in this world. If the world had will, I was not afraid. I would steal the hero's fortune in this world and crush it until the will of the world couldn't stop me.

I would seize the hero's opportunities, become stronger, and then destroy him.

I had decided to follow this path, no matter the challenges.

For I had no tricks like the system or anything else. I would not submit to the will of the world or anyone else. I would walk the path I had set for myself, even if it meant my death.

Nothing could stop me now.

But deep down, I knew the road would be longer than I had expected.
