'Such a beautiful morning for a beautiful queen to make her first appearance in her new school.' this was Tolulope first thoughts as the morning sunlight fell on her face immediately she spread open her window curtains. appearance were everything to her, she was beautiful and she knows it.
There recent moving to ogun state had been sudden although not like it bothered her in the least as she was the only child in the family and she had no friends or relatives in there old house in Abuja where she was sorrounded by rich kids like her self. to her 'humans are just a flock of lost sheep's desperately in need of a Shepard and who better than her will strive to lead them.' at thirteen she wrote a book on leadership as a class project in jss 3 which earned her respect from her teacher and she had no one to compete with her since the rest of her class mates were feeling to big to do it. moving from place to place doesn't seem to bother her as she sees it as a revenue for gaining knowledge of different types of people in life.
Walking towards the dressing room she stared at her reflection in the mirror smiled and winked at her self then rush to the bathroom giggling like a kid. this is the part of her self that the outside world doesn't see. the only part of her they see is the all serious and no nonsense teenager only her parents know that she can be naughty at times. this helps her in keeping unwanted people out of her life.
"Hurry up honey or your mom will leave you behind, she have an appointment today, remember ?" Mr ope said from the door to his daughters room.
Tolu winced as the hot water from the shower hit her skin. "I will be out in a jiffy dad."
"You better." he turned to leave. " aren't you forgetting something ?" he said in an expectant tone.
"Good morning dad, how was your night ?" she asked rolling her eyes, she don't get why her dad and most people like hearing the sentence 'Good morning.'
"Morning my little strawberry." he answered and waited for her out burst.
"Am sixteen for crying out loud, am no longer ten. you can stop with the pet names." she shouted from the shower.
Mr ope just laughed as he headed down the stairs to his wife who was having her breakfast, she just looked at him and shook her head with a smile on the corner of her lips.

"Ogunseyi Samuel Oluwadamilare." the woman shouted in anger as she banged on the door. "you have said you won't get up today abi !, you better stand up before I break this door down and make that your sleep permanent."
Samuel jumped off the bed immediately he heard his mother voice, no matter how deeply asleep he is his mother voice always still finds a way to penetrate his subconsciousness.
"Samuel I sai...." Mrs ogunseyi paused half way as the door to her son's room finally opened and he was standing there half naked.
"íya good morning." Samuel greeted her smiling a forced smile as he faked being awake "mommy you know I don't like being disturbed when I am praying."
"íwo ? pray ?" Mrs ogunseyi said looking at him in forced awe as she robbed her palms together. " ehen ok daddy G.O hope you know that it's almost seven thirty and your school resumption is today."
"which school." Samuel asked looking confused. "ah so today is resumption day."
"ask me again. sey mó losí school pelu eh ní ?" she said and hissed as she left him.
Ten minutes later Samuel walked into the sitting room all ready for school as he wore his favourite black hoodie on his uniform with his head phones around his neck. he peeped into his cousin room only to find it larking it's occupant.
"ma-mí where is segun ? hope he is ready for school." Samuel said while stuffing the toast bread into his mouth.
"He left about fifteen minutes ago to school. atleast he knows the right time to do things unlike you." she staring at her son like she was about to fling him right through the door.
"nice one." Samuel said as he bounced off the chair and headed outside in a rush. 'so this was what made segun so sure he would win there bet on who will get to school early. yesterday night segun had made sure they played PS till around 2am knowing fully well he was going to wake up late and now since segun had gotten to school before him he alone is going to have access to the play station all week.
'well played.' samuel commended him as put on his headphones and started jogging to school, just as he was about to turn the conner a black car sped towards him from the other direction.

"Morning mom." Tolu greeted her mom as she came down the stairs.
"Finally the queen of the universe has decided to grace us with her presence." then with a mischievous smile on Mrs ope's face "and morning to you too my little pumpkin."
"Am sixteen for crying out loud, why are both of you making me look like am still a kid?" frowning as she sat down to eat.
"As long as you are still under our roof and we are still alive Omo dé ní eh." Mr ope said chuckling.
"Uhm uhm breakfast is over." Mrs ope said as tolu picked up her fork to eat, then she stood up "you can't eat your cake and have it, you took to much time getting ready for school so the price you pay is you losing your breakfast, oya oya get up let's go."
"Mary let the girl finish her food."Mr ope said.
"yes daddy tell her."
"ehen is like you will drive her to school yourself. it's past to 8 already and am getting late."
"not fair mom," tolu said whining with her dad she could get a way with anything but her mom is a deffrent case.
"No it's black it's very black, oya let's go, NOW!!" Mrs ope said as she walked towards the door.
"See you later dad." Tolu said as she followed her mom out the door.
Mr ope just chuckled just then his phone rang. "hello....ok...alright...I will be there".

"well as a quick reminder the school I enrolled you in is a lot deffrent from you last school." Mrs ope said as she said as she pressed a little hard on the accelerator hoping she could get to the school before 8 am.
'Oh great just great' tolu thought, her mom never picks anything that will favour her. "how do you mean mom."
"Well let's say there is a lot of competition in this school than you school back at Abuja cause not everyone in this school came from money." Mrs ope turned her head to look at her daughter at the back sit. "so don't be offended if you don't ge....."
"Mom watch out !!!" she shouted as the boy in a blue head jacket with headphones came jogging from the corner.
Mrs ope quickly hit the break just as the kid vaulted over the hood of the car.
'wow not bad' Tolu was surprised to see such good reflexes from someone who was totally unaware that this could have been has last day on earth.
Just as the boy landed on the other side of the road he turned towards them took off his headphones and mouthed the word sorry as he bowed his head to her mom and then turned to go. this was a new she thought most people she know would have immediately started blaming her mother for speeding in this kind of road all though the boy was also at fault for wearing headphones when crossing the road he still apologized any way.

'That was a close one.' Samuel thought to himself as he balanced his bag on his shoulders.
"Hey kid." they lady in the car called out stretching her head through the car window as she lowered the glass.
he turned towards her expecting to get scolded as usual, drivers in this ogun state will always find a way to to put the blame on you even if you are not at fault.
"Are you a student at great night's college?" she asked him.
Samuel looked at his uniform under his hooded jacket then nodded his head.
"Mind if I give you a ride? am also headed that way to drop my daughter off."
"No problem ma I really appreciate it." he said and was surprised to see the girl in the back sit with her whole face buried inside her bag as she seemed to be looking for what ever she kept there.
"you can call me Mrs ope." She said as he opened the back door and sat down next to the girl who immediately scooted to the other side of the car, leaving a wide gap in between them.
"what class are you in?" Mrs ope asked him.
"ss 2."
"So is my daughter tolu, am hoping you could show her around the school and how things are run in the school."
Just as he was about to answer her the girl immediately raised her head up and stared at the back of her mom's head.
"I don't need a baby sitter mom." Tolu cut in before he could open his mouth.
Samuel just stared at her 'men if he tries this one at home he is dead.' that was the first thoughts in his head.
"what are you looking at ?" she turned towards him.
"sorry what?" he asked confused as her voice drifted into his thoughts.
"you were staring at me. what's the problem ?" she asked in a sharp tone.
"nothing." Samuel said and put on his headphones to block her out and he could feel her burning gaze on the side of his face.
"we are here."Mrs ope said as she parked at the gate.
"thanks ma." he said as he alighted from the car.
"what's your name." Mrs ope asked him.
"Samuel ma" he thanked her again and started walking into the school compound without minding if tolu was following him or not.

The old man balanced the tote bag on his shoulders as he looked around nervously as if someone was about to snatch it from him.
He hated being in this kind of situation if only he had just manage what he had of only he hadn't gotten his family involved, what will he be doing in an abandon alley which was scary like the scary looking relics in the tote bag he was carrying.
"Do you have the relics ?" a man spoke from the darkness.
"ye..ye..yes." the old man Starmmers as he stepped back a little when the man emerged from the darkness and dropped the bag in front of him.
"What about the priest gaurding the relics."
"Dead as you instructed sir." the old man said while bowing down his head.
"Good. your family will be released as promised." the man said as he closed the bag after inspecting the content, he then turned to go.
"Sir before the priest died he asked me to give your master a message." the old man said in fear.
The man stopped with his back turned to him and asked in a harsh voice.
"And what was this message?"
The old man bowed his head in fear hesitating wether to tell him the whole truth if what happened or he should just tell him the message.
"Am waiting." the man said angrily with his back still turned towards the old man.
"He....he said to tell your master that 'the Gods have already started singing there tunes and they will soon be calling for there dancers' that's what he said."
"well you are talking to the master." then in the blink of an eye the man was already in front of the old man witha wicked grin on his face and his hand around his throat lifting him from the ground.
"And you are going to also deliver this message to him when you see him." the man
said, pressing harder on the old man's neck while the man was struggling to grasp for air and was clawing at him with al his might.
"Tell him that there will be no dancers coming after tonight." that was the final word the old man heard before the sound of his own neck breaking into two then darkness.
