Natasha swiftly pulled her wrist free from his grip.
"Of course I do. He's my boyfriend," she said, her voice steady even though she wasn't sure what he meant by his strange question.
"No, you don't," Davis countered, his tone desperate. "You're just with him for the money, right? Well, I'm rich now. I can take care of you."
Natasha's eyes widened in shock. Was he serious? "Are you really the Davis I know?" She asked with a frown.
Davis adjusted in his seat, casually flipping his air, his posture radiated confidence and arrogance. "Of course I am—just more handsome and richer," he teased, making them both laugh.
"You definitely are," she replied with a grin. During their teenage years, they had been very close, although Davis was more of her brother's best friend, she was also very close to him, they were like the perfect three siblings.
