Chapter 1 - In the year I graduated from university, I was deceived and sent to northern Myanmar

Don't go to northern Myanmar!

Don't go to northern Myanmar!

Don't go to northern Myanmar!

For whatever reason, never go to northern Myanmar in this lifetime.

This is my advice to everyone.

This book is adapted from real events.

Many people around me know that I used to stay in Yunnan for a few years, but very few people know that I was actually deceived and sent to northern Myanmar.

My name is Li Qiang. In 2012, I was deceived and went to northern Myanmar. I struggled in hell for several years before finally escaping from the demon den with nine deaths.

Although it has been a long time, the days when I was deceived and sent to northern Myanmar are still vividly remembered now.

I remember very clearly that it was the summer of 11 years ago, when I had just graduated from college.

I have been rebellious and willful since I was young, always thinking that I am very capable and that I can succeed in anything I do.

So just graduated from college, I should have been looking for a job, but now I want to start my own business.

Entrepreneurship requires money, so I asked my parents to lend me 50000 yuan as start-up capital, but my dad scolded me harshly on the phone.

In a fit of anger, I took the last month's living allowance of 1000 yuan given to me by my parents and bought a train ticket to Dali, Yunnan.

One is to go out and relax, and the other is to see if there are any good opportunities.

At that time, all I could think about was how to make a lot of money on my own, and then I threw myself in front of my dad and told him that your son was born as a dragon.

It was precisely this trip to Yunnan that allowed me to truly experience what it feels like to live in hell in the days to come.

I had just arrived in Yunnan for less than a week and had already spent all my money. I had no choice but to find a temporary bar waiter who provided food and accommodation to overwork.

During the half month working in the bar, I would see all kinds of wealthy people every night. They would spend money like water in our bar, and sexy and beautiful running singers, even the female bar owner whom I regarded as a goddess, would smile brightly and take the initiative to accompany those men for drinks.

Every time I see this scene, I keep telling myself in my heart that I must become a wealthy person in the future, and I will never spend my whole life like my parents, staying in the small town of my hometown and working in a run down grocery store for decades.

As the desire to make big money grew stronger, I soon stopped being satisfied with the status quo and began to pay attention to various high paying jobs online.

I sent out seven or eight resumes in a row, and soon three companies contacted me.

Anyway, I was also a serious undergraduate student, and it wasn't difficult to find a job in that era.

Looking back now, I had a very high self-esteem at that time and really wanted to slap myself hard twice.

After rejecting two jobs with a monthly salary of two to three thousand, I chose the media company that contacted me last.

The HR manager with a sweet voice personally talked to me on the phone for half an hour and promised me a high salary of 8000 yuan per month. He also had weekends off from nine in the morning to five in the evening, and the company organized various team building activities every month, even traveling abroad.

I never thought at that time, as a rookie who had just graduated from college with no work experience, why would someone offer me such a high salary and such good welfare benefits.

The day after the work was finalized, I left Dali and boarded the car to Banna.

After arriving at Banna, the onboarding went smoothly and the company looked very formal.

The arranged staff dormitory is a single suite.

I thought this company was the starting point for me to reach the pinnacle of my life, but it turned out to be the entrance to hell.

After joining, I realized that this company is even better than I had imagined.

On the first day of employment, the company organized a lively welcome dinner party, where dozens of young people from all over the world drank beer and chatted about their youth and imagined the future.

In such an atmosphere, I quickly immersed myself completely.

The only thing that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable is that work is too idle.

Being idle even made me feel guilty about my monthly salary of 8000 yuan.

I have also doubted whether such a leisurely job would result in unpaid wages.

The fact proved that I overthinked it, and on the 15th of the second month, my salary was credited to my account on time.

Not only that, the company also said that the business units in Sichuan Province and several other coastal provinces had remarkable performance last month, all of which exceeded their tasks. The leaders of the group headquarters have decided to reward all current employees with a trip abroad.

Our Banna branch has benefited from the glory of other business units and also seized an opportunity to travel abroad.

In the past month, the company has organized three dinners. This time, the company has organized a unified overseas trip, and no one, including me, has noticed anything wrong.

Later, when I was deceived and sent to Myanmar, I realized belatedly that from the day I started working, I had already fallen into a carefully designed scam by the other party.

The destination for traveling abroad is Thailand. When I first thought about getting up close with the legendary ladyboy beauty, I was excited for a long time on the first night of departure.

In retrospect, I was really a fool back then.

The company's speed was very fast, and the next day they bought tickets for everyone that night.

At that time, electronic fraud had just emerged, and northern Myanmar had not yet become synonymous with electronic fraud. No one paid attention to it. Our flight ticket was to go to Myanmar first, and then to Thailand.

As soon as we left the airport in Myanmar, our group followed two company leaders on a bus.

Late at night in a foreign land, no one knows where the bus will go.

The road ahead became increasingly bumpy and deteriorating. I even asked Zhang Fengfeng, the HR manager who recruited me, and he said that the overnight flight to Thailand had malfunctioned. He decided to take a bus and take a shortcut to Thailand, as it was close anyway.

I know that Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos share borders, so I didn't ask much.

The journey was indeed a bit tiring, coupled with bumpy roads and no scenery at night, I quickly fell asleep.

When I woke up again, the bus had already parked in an old place that looked like an industrial park.

"There is a section of road ahead that has collapsed. Everyone got off one by one and will rest here for the night"

Zhang Fengfeng explained with a smile and began to greet everyone to get off the car.

Later on, many times in my dreams, I was awakened by Zhang Fengfeng's smile tonight.

After all of us got off the car, several high-power searchlights suddenly lit up around us, and then more than a dozen dark skinned Burmese people rushed out of a small building.

These people were all holding guns, and with a loud shout, they immediately surrounded all of us.Â
