Lena ran a hand through her hair. "I need to rethink everything. We might have been chasing the wrong trail this entire time."
Elias stepped closer. "Lena."
She met his gaze.
"Take a breath," he said softly.
Lena clenched her jaw. "We don't have time—"
"I know." His voice was calm, steady. "But if you overthink this, you'll miss something."
Lena exhaled, trying to ground herself.
And, once again, she found herself noticing him.
The way his shirt was slightly undone at the collar. The way his sleeves were rolled up, revealing strong forearms. The way his presence calmed her even when everything was chaos.
Damn it.
This was not the time to be distracted.
She tore her gaze away. "We need to dig deeper."
Elias nodded. "Then let's do it."
Lena and Elias spent the next few hours going through every single file, log, and document related to the breach.
And then they found it.
A second access log.
