Chapter 54 - A Night Shared

Delphinia stood at the doorway, staring at the grand, elegant room bathed in soft, ambient lighting. The air inside Evander's bedroom was warm, laced faintly with the smell of cedarwood and his cologne. He had that same intense aura about him, with his hair a little messy and his shirt undone just enough to show off part of his chest.

He was on his side, propped slightly on one elbow, watching her with a small, amused smirk. His presence was as overwhelming as always, his dark hair slightly tousled, his shirt half unbuttoned, revealing a sliver of his toned chest.

"Don't be like that, Delphinia," Evander teased, his voice soft but playful. He patted the empty space on the bed beside him. "Don't you want to sleep?"

Her lips pressed into a thin line. Sleep? That was the last thing on her mind, especially with him right there.

"I'm fine here," she said, refusing to budge from her spot by the door.
