**Kamar-Taj.**
In the library, Balder sat at the librarian's desk, inscribing his magical secrets into a thick, blank book.
As his fingers moved, text, symbols, and magical arrays appeared on the pages.
These were evolved versions of magic from the HP world, essentially his divine magic, suitable for lending to other magic users.
Kamar-Taj had many mystical secrets; as long as they didn't corrupt souls, they were welcomed.
But Balder wasn't making this book for that reason.
Using it to become stronger would take an eternity.
The book's 'forbidden' elements were key, or rather, traps!
It contained the secrets of chaos magic.
And a more terrifying 'truth.'
All the mystical arts in it served to highlight this 'truth' as real!
After a few minutes, Balder finished the book. As he closed it, a golden inscription lit up briefly, then dimmed.
The cover revealed gold-embossed letters: **"Book of Mind!"**
He placed it in the restricted section, next to the **"Book of Cagliostro."**
Balder was confident.
A little hint and a certain traitor would come to read it.

**A month later.**
**Morning.**
Kaecilius woke with a start, eyes bloodshot from poor sleep.
Having been at Kamar-Taj for over thirty years, he no longer needed to train with the apprentices each morning.
He woke early today because it was his turn to rotate as the librarian.
Three years since his last librarian duty, he was eagerly anticipating it!
Only he knew why.
Skipping breakfast, Kaecilius rushed to the library.
After a quick handover, he sat at the librarian's desk in the restricted section.
His duty was mainly to guard this area.
But…
Feigning interest in a regular magic book, he felt both excited and amused.
He had discovered a flaw during his last librarian duty.
The chains binding the restricted books shared the same unlocking sigil as those in the artifact room.
In other words, anyone who had guarded the artifact room could unlock all restricted books.
And he had guarded the artifact room over a decade ago.
"Ancient One, you old fool!"
Internally cursing, Kaecilius looked forward to what he might discover.
Last time, he found this secret too late, only managing to sneak a peek at a few books in the final days.
But he had uncovered a monumental secret!
Dark energy!
The power from the great lord of the Dark Dimension, is not only incredibly strong but also grants immortality!
This discovery left him both angry and joyous!
Kaecilius swore!
The Ancient One must have secretly absorbed dark energy; otherwise, she couldn't have lived so long, becoming the Sorcerer Supreme surely by using it!
He resented her greed in hoarding immortality and power!
Ignoring the struggles of slow-progressing mystics like him.
It was despicable!
He had been biding his time, waiting to gather enough dark acolytes to briefly resist the Ancient One, planning to seize the book!
But to be the librarian again—what luck!
Though he couldn't take the book from the library or tear out a page, as the Sorcerer Supreme would sense it.
But this time, he could study it more thoroughly.
If he could contact the great lord of the Dark Dimension without the book's rituals, his chances would increase!
The agonizing wait ended.
**Late at night.**
Seeing no other mages around, Kaecilius approached the **"Book of Cagliostro."**
Suppressing his excitement, he raised his hand to use the sigil.
But in the corner of his eye, he saw another book nearby.
**"Book of Mind"**
He remembered it wasn't there last time.
"With time to spare."
On a whim, he moved his hand to the Book of Mind's chains.
A soft touch lit up a series of golden symbols, and with a click, it unlocked.
The chains could be forcibly opened, but that would trigger an alarm.
Taking the book, Kaecilius hurried back to his seat, maintaining a calm facade.
He was cautious!
This way, even if someone suddenly entered the library, they'd think he was reading an ordinary magic book.
But as he flipped through the pages, his heart pounded wildly!
The book described mystical arts-driven primarily by emotions, with the simplest changes to the magical arrays enabling them!
This meant the difficulty of these arts would greatly decrease!
Though easier, the spells were eerie!
They included death-inducing, soul-controlling, and flesh-torturing spells, clearly dark arts!
"No wonder the Ancient One put this book in the restricted section."
He continued reading, and soon his face changed!
The book revealed an even more terrifying secret!
Chaos magic!
Bizarre, impossible life fire, primordial magic outside good and evil, capable of creating and destroying everything!
The most powerful magic!
Born in the Scarlet Witch!
But that wasn't the shocking part!
It also disclosed another secret!
Each Scarlet Witch bore Chthon's mark from birth!
Kaecilius knew who Chthon was!
The infamous god of black magic!
Kamar-Taj's library had none of his secrets!
Even Cyttorak had documented secrets, but not Chthon.
This showed how much the Ancient One feared Chthon, not giving any chance!
Kaecilius reached the last page.
It depicted an eye symbol.
Below it read:
"When the crimson eye opens, the Scarlet Witch appears."
Kaecilius shuddered, nearly falling off his chair!
Because!
The crimson eye on the last page had a small slit open!
*Snap!*
He shut the book, breathing heavily.
Minutes passed before he calmed but pale-faced!
Though the Scarlet Witch hadn't awakened, the slit in the eye signified Chthon's mark was already in her!
And the Ancient One hadn't noticed!
Earlier, he saw her casually correcting apprentice training!
He cursed internally:
"Useless fool, wasting the Dark Lord's power. Chthon might destroy this world one day!"
Then he froze!
Wait!
He didn't want to protect the reality dimension, he'd love for the Ancient One and Kamar-Taj to perish!
As a dark acolyte, though he hadn't met his master, Kaecilius was dedicated.
Instantly, he thought of a possibility!
Could he use the unawakened Scarlet Witch?
Whether she awakened, or Chthon used the mark to possess her!
Either way, the Ancient One would be troubled!
Amid their battle, it would be his chance!
The more Kaecilius thought, the more excited he became!
Though just an idea, it was a promising direction!
It had to happen quickly!
The crimson eye on the Book of Mind had just opened slightly, but who knew when the Ancient One would check!
If discovered, all could be lost!
To find the unawakened witch, he thought of someone who might help!
**The next day.**
A fellow Kamar-Taj traitor was sent out.

**PS:**
I believe restricted books with forbidden magic and truths wouldn't be easily opened.
Strange taking books freely must have been planned by the Ancient One.
Like how Naruto stealing the Scroll of Seals was approved by the Third Hokage.
