Agatha felt a chill in her heart.
Unable to resist, she used her abilities to sense the surroundings carefully, finding nothing unusual.
Was she overthinking?
Or was the unawakened Scarlet Witch instinctively making her uneasy?
At that moment, Wanda woke up, terrified by the two strangers in her room:
"Who are you, and what do you want?"
Kaecilius sneered:
"We are the ones giving you a new life!"
"Thank me, woman!"
He formed an array with his hands, sending a red light that knocked Wanda out.
Seeing the task completed, Agatha spoke:
"I've done what Kamar-Taj asked. If there's nothing else, I'll leave now!"
The unsettling feeling persisted, and without any benefit, she wanted to leave quickly.
But Kaecilius didn't agree, coldly saying:
"Not so fast. You'll leave after I confirm it."
Agatha's eyes briefly flashed with killing intent but said nothing.
Kaecilius smirked internally. So what if a witch hated him?
When the great Dark Lord descended, he would make her kneel before him.
The next second, he commanded:
"As a witch, take me into her mind. I must confirm her identity."
Agatha licked her lips:
"Daring to enter a witch's mind, aren't you afraid I'll make you my puppet?"
Kaecilius replied meaningfully:
"Don't worry, you won't get the chance."
Agatha sneered, squatting to open Wanda's eyes, then said:
"Follow me, looking into her eyes."
Kaecilius complied, looking into the reflection in Wanda's eyes, feeling his vision change.
In a daze, he found himself in a pure white space, with Agatha beside him and a charred black tree rooted in the white ground.
There was nothing else.
*Thud.*
The sound of someone falling came from beside him. He turned to see the witch sitting on the ground, pale and terrified.
Kaecilius scoffed:
"It seems we were right."
He looked at the black tree, feeling increasingly anxious.
Though planned, he couldn't deny his fear.
After all, this was the god of black magic.
But the thought of the Dark Lord's power and immortality overcame his fear!
The next second, he knelt on one knee, loudly calling:
"Supreme Lord of the Dark Dimension, I beseech your arrival."
Agatha turned sharply, looking at him in horror and disbelief!
Kaecilius continued, uncaring:
"Great god of black magic, I will help you conquer this world!"
"All life and reality belong to you!"
As he called, it seemed his voice reached another dimension through the black magic mark.
The entire mindscape began to shake!
The charred tree trembled as if awakening, black liquid like ink flowing from its roots, rapidly spreading in all directions.
In mere seconds, the pure white world turned black, devoid of light.
Kaecilius stopped shouting, his throat dry, anxiety overwhelming him!
The next second!
**The pitch-black space suddenly opened two crimson eyes, filled with intense, undisguised malice, nearly causing Kaecilius to scream!**
"Your head is raised too high."
Layered, cold voices echoed.
Kaecilius slammed his head onto the ground, trembling:
"Great god of black magic, your power is supreme."
With those words, he felt a chilling gaze upon him.
"Do you realize I have been waiting for the Scarlet Witch's awakening to devour her power? Yet you dared to come here, call my name, and awaken me."
"Now, you have one sentence."
Kaecilius felt his scalp tingle, knowing a misstep would mean death.
His mind raced, and within a second, he spoke:
"I seek to destroy the sanctum, remove the dimensional barriers, and let you consume this world!"
After speaking, he didn't die.
Kaecilius exhaled heavily, almost collapsing.
Though this was the mindscape, the exhaustion felt real.
The thunderous voice returned.
"You, a Kamar-Taj traitor? The Ancient One could kill you with a finger."
Kaecilius, not daring to lift his head, quickly said:
"Alone, no. But many mystics hate the Ancient One like I do."
"She secretly absorbs dark dimensional power, gaining strength and immortality, but abandons us."
"If you grant me the power to resist the Ancient One briefly, my comrades can assault the Sanctums, using me as a beacon for your descent!"
"If I die, you can continue waiting for another opportunity."
That was his plan.
Gain Chthon's trust, then betray him!
Then, when the Ancient One kills Chthon's avatar, Kaecilius would seize the chance to obtain the rituals from the Book of Cagliostro, contacting Dormammu to swap Chthon's power for dark power.
Even if the Ancient One noticed, she'd be too busy.
When Chthon's will is destroyed, he'd resist the Ancient One while other dark acolytes destroy the Sanctums.
Then Dormammu would descend!
All hinged on Chthon believing him.
Kaecilius believed Chthon couldn't resist the lure.
Sure enough, the next second, he felt a cold touch on his forehead, followed by a slimy, nauseating power entering his body.
For a moment, he felt he could use the mystical arts from the Book of Mind without constructing spells or paying a price!
As expected of the god of black magic!
With a grateful thought, Kaecilius joyfully said:
"Thank you, I won't disappoint you."
"And this woman is a witch, a suitable supplement for your body."
Agatha didn't react in terror; instead, the layered voice echoed:
"You may leave. I look forward to your performance."
With those words, Kaecilius felt a sudden brightness, returning to reality.
He stood, sneering at the soulless Agatha, then ignored the alarms and footsteps outside, opening a portal and leaving.
At this moment.
In the mindscape, darkness faded, light returned.
Agatha knelt, trembling, forehead pressed to the ground, too terrified to speak.
The next second, a light laugh sounded:
"Interesting, you could tell I'm not Chthon."
**PS:**
In this setting, when reality dimension possesses its own power, gods can locate Earth's coordinates faster and descend more quickly. Without it, the process is much slower.
For instance, in the movie, with the reality dimension barrier gone, only Dormammu arrived; no other gods did.
