Rhea's mind reeled as she processed Rohan's revelation. She had known he had a past, but the depth of his emotions surprised her.
"Rohan, I had no idea," Rhea said, her voice soft.
Rohan's eyes searched hers.
"I know I should have told you sooner. But I didn't want to hurt you."
Rhea's heart ached.
"You didn't hurt me, Rohan. You surprised me."
Rohan's expression relaxed.
"I promise, Rhea, my love for you is genuine. Nisha's just a memory."
But Rhea couldn't shake off the feeling.
"Memories can be powerful," Rhea said. "Especially when they're tied to emotions."
Rohan nodded.
"You're right. But I've worked through my feelings. I'm committed to us."
Rhea smiled, wanting to believe him.
"I trust you, Rohan. But I need time to process."
Rohan pulled her close.
"I understand. Take all the time you need."
Days passed, and Rhea struggled to shake off the feeling.
"Nisha's presence affects me, Rohan. I feel insecure," Rhea admitted.
Rohan pulled her close.
"You're my wife, my love. Nisha's just a memory."
But Rhea couldn't help wondering.
"Does Nisha still love you?"
Rohan's expression turned serious.
"I don't know. But I know I love you."
As they hugged, Rhea felt a sense of security.
