Rhea couldn't shake off the feeling that Nisha's presence had stirred up. She needed clarity.
"Rohan, I want to talk to Nisha," Rhea said, determination in her voice.
Rohan's expression turned cautious.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?"
Rhea nodded.
"I need to understand her intentions. And mine."
Rohan sighed.
"Okay, but be careful."
Rhea agreed.
The next day, Rhea met Nisha at a coffee shop.
"Nisha, why are you here?" Rhea asked, direct.
Nisha's eyes locked onto hers.
"I'm engaged. I wanted Rohan's blessing."
Rhea searched her face.
"Is that all?"
Nisha hesitated.
"No. I wanted to see if he's happy."
Rhea's heart skipped a beat.
"Are you still in love with him?"
Nisha's expression softened.
"I'll always care for Rohan, but I've moved on."
Rhea studied her.
"I believe you."
As they parted ways, Rhea felt a weight lift.
