Chapter 1 - Prologue

chapter 1: Blood air village

My heart raced, my chest tight with panic as I tried to recall how I had ended up here. The trees around me seemed to close in, their towering trunks twisting into dark, menacing shapes, like looming figures watching my every move. I stumbled, my foot catching on a jagged rock, and the ground came up far too quickly to stop.

The sharp impact sent waves of pain through my body. My knees scraped against the rough earth, and my hands dug into the dirt, causing them to bleed.

The stinging pain spread like wildfire, and I cried out, but there was no answer, no help, just the cruel solitude of the woods.

I was alone.

My mind raced.

"How had I gotten here"?

My body was heavy with the weight of injuries, each breath a sharp reminder of the battle that had torn me apart. Memories from the war between heaven and earth, during the fierce battle between the god of Hercules and Prometheus

I had been chosen. The words echoed in my mind.

"Chosen for what?"

I wondered, my head spinning.

It was then that I saw them—two dragons. Their massive forms emerged from the mist like ancient gods from a forgotten dream. They were magnificent, breathtaking in their majesty. The first was a shimmering blue, its scales glistening like the deep, untamed oceans, shifting with every movement.

The second was a brilliant golden hue, as bright as the first rays of dawn, its scales catching the light and scattering it like a thousand suns.

They hovered above me, their great wings flapping slowly, each beat sending ripples through the air, making the very atmosphere shimmer with an otherworldly warmth. I could feel their power, a force so immense it made my heart skip a beat.

The blue dragon's eyes were vast, like deep pools of ancient wisdom. Its gaze seemed to pierce through me, seeing the very core of who I was, as if it knew everything about my soul.

They circled around me, their movements so graceful it was as if they were one with the wind, the sky, and the very earth beneath us. It was then that I heard them—not with my ears, but within my mind, their voices resonating in my very being.

"Only those who are chosen as descendants of the gods can enter this realm,"

the blue dragon spoke first.

The golden dragon continued, its voice calm and gentle,

"Those who are of the third level, five stars or above, can enter our land of thunder."

The words sent a jolt of recognition through me. "Third level, five stars..." I remembered. I wasn't just a man. I was a warrior, a heavenly king, a force to be reckoned with.

I closed my eyes, trying to center myself. Meditation. It was the only way to make sense of the chaos swirling inside me. Slowly, I began to search within, reaching out into the void of my memories, the battle, the pain, the bloodshed.

And then, I saw it—the reflection of myself, not as a mere mortal, but as the Heavenly King.

Level: Third level (Heavenly King), 5 stars

I gasped as the realization hit me.

Goddess Athena's Shield –

I felt a surge of power rise within me, but also a deep sorrow. I had been on the battlefield, fighting a war between the heavens and the earth, between gods and kings, between light and darkness. I was serving under the Kai clan, under God Heracles, when it all came crashing down.

I remembered the battle. The clash of swords, the roar of gods and mortals alike. The enemy clan, led by the treacherous God Prometheus, had struck me down. I had been on the verge of death, my body broken, my mind fading into darkness.

But then the dragons came. They were dying, their bodies battered and wounded, but they had chosen me.

"Since you are the chosen one, we entrust our baby with you,"

the blue dragon spoke again, its voice laced with both sorrow and hope.

The golden dragon nodded, its wings folding around me as if offering its warmth.

"This is no ordinary task. The egg must be protected, and only one with the strength of spirit and power can unlock its potential. Only when someone with the spiritual power of a thousand fires comes will the egg crack."

As the dragons spoke, the pain in my forehead grew intense, as if my very memories and skills were being branded into my soul. The marks of the dragons, one blue and one golden, burned into my skin. It was as if they were merging with me, fusing my essence with theirs.

The egg—the dragon's egg—vanished into my forehead, sealed within me. Its warmth lingered for a moment, and then all was still.

Sheng was lock in the dragon's locket for years and years at the blood air village.

Hundreds of years passed.

The world outside had changed, and I remained, a shadow of my former self, trapped within the egg's seal. The blood air village had become a place of peace, where children played and fished by the river, unaware of the ancient power that slumbered beneath their feet.

One day, as the sun dipped low in the sky, a boy named Yin cast his fishing line into the water. He was just like any other child, carefree and innocent. he caught locket on his fishing hooks.

A strange object, round and smooth, in the dragon's shape gleamed in the fading light. Yin frowned, not understanding what it was, and tugged at it. It was a dragon locket. He examined it curiously, and without thinking, slipped it over his neck.

As he turned to head back home, a sudden, loud cracking sound echoed through the air.

"Kkrrrrrrkrk... krkrrrr"

The noise was deep, like thunder rolling across the sky, but when Yin turned around to look, he saw nothing. Only the stillness of the woods greeted him.

He paused for a moment, uneasy, but shook his head and walked away, unaware that the cracking sound was the beginning of something.
