NORA'S POV
I stood frozen, the shock of Albert's abrupt departure still rippling through me. The air in the room was dense, suffocating with unspoken words and barely restrained emotions. Every nerve in my body felt taut, the weight of the situation pressing heavily on my chest. How could he walk out like that? On Allen, our Alpha? On his own father, the Beta? The thought alone was unthinkable.
Ashley shifted uncomfortably beside me, her hands clasped tightly. She stepped forward, her voice trembling but composed. "Alpha, I apologize for Albert's behavior," she began, but Allen's sharp glare silenced her instantly.
"He will grow into it," Allen said, his voice cutting through the tension like a blade. There was no room for dissent, no opening for argument. "But for now, he must learn to channel his emotions properly."
Ashley nodded earnestly, her expression one of subdued determination. "I'll speak with him, Alpha," she said.
