The Dilveria Academy, a place where everyone competes to become the strongest and strives to be the next hero.
The name Dilveria Academy, known throughout the continent, draws many people to join, fighting for their dreams and defying destiny.
One morning, Vin and Renz finally found what they had been searching for.
Vin: "Renz, can you see that?" (Vin asked while pointing toward the city with his hand.)
Renz: "There it is, the city we've been looking for." (Excited tone.)
The view of the city was breathtaking, like a dream come true. Magic as a source of energy, physical strength as a tool. Beautiful and grand houses, and the sturdy walls surrounding the city of Devoria stood tall and strong.
Renz: "Those walls are so high." (Amazed tone.)
Vin: "I think they're about 10 meters tall." (In awe.)
Renz: "Look there, there's the city gate." (Pointing with his hand.)
Renz: "The gate is open; there must be something interesting going on, Vin." (Curious expression.)
Vin: "But look at that; there are two guards at the gate." (Sounding doubtful.)
Renz: "Come on, let's check it out. I think it'll be interesting." (Excited tone.)
Vin nodded and followed Renz.
They walked together along the path, their steps gradually quickening. With every step closer to the city of Devoria, Vin felt a strong magical aura emanating from around the city.
Vin: "(This aura... this pressure is incredibly strong.)" (Thinking to himself.)
Vin and Renz continued on their way toward the city gate.
Renz: "Hey, Vin, do you see that?" (Confused tone.)
They slowed their pace briefly and saw something near the gate.
Vin: "Is that an Elf?" (Walking beside Renz.)
Renz: "An Elf? How do you know?" (Confused, turning toward Vin.)
Vin: "I once heard from your father that there are other races besides humans in this world." (Staring intently at the Elf.)
Vin observed the female Elf closely, noticing she had stopped at the gate guarded by two sentries.
Vin: "I'll explain it in detail later. For now, hurry toward the gate." (Still focused on the Elf.)
Renz: "Huh?" (Confused and puzzled expression.)
Vin and Renz walked faster toward the gate, though Renz was baffled by Vin's words.
Vin: "(I feel something unusual about them.)" (Thinking while quickening his pace.)
Renz: "(What is Vin trying to do?)" (Confused while following Vin.)
Vin and Renz got a clearer view as they drew closer.
Vin: "(A strong aura is radiating from that Elf. My left eye can see it clearly.)" (Vin's left eye glimmered faintly red.)
Through Vin's left eye, he could see a blue aura emanating from the Elf.
A blue, flame-like aura surrounded the Elf, though Vin knew nothing more about it.
Not long after, Vin and Renz arrived. They stopped, shocked by what they saw, a petite female Elf wearing traditional green Elf attire. Vin and Renz were mesmerized by the elegant and beautiful Elf, with white hair and long, pointed ears characteristic of the Elven race.
Renz: "Beautiful." (Amazed and stunned.)
Vin: "Petite?" (Puzzled, tilting his head slightly in confusion.)
Vin's left eye returned to normal, and the Elf's aura gradually faded.
Vin and Renz were at a loss for words, trying to approach the Elf. But just before they could step forward, they overheard a conversation between the Elf and the two gate guards.
Elf: "Please, I just want to enter." (Pleading with the guards.)
Guard: "We do not allow minors to enter the city freely." (Firmly responding.)
The guards stomped their spears on the ground, emphasizing their words.
Elf: "Iā" (Attempting to reply.)
Before the Elf could answer, Vin spoke up to the guards.
Vin: "Hey, she's not a child. She's an Elf, and her age surpasses her appearance." (Speaking seriously.)
The guards looked at each other.
Guard: "Are you sure?" (Serious tone, staring sharply at Vin.)
Vin: "I'm sure. This city is advanced enough; you should be able to determine that easily." (Replying with a sharp gaze and a mocking tone.)
Renz and the Elf remained silent, surprised by Vin's bold words.
Guard: "Call the Mage here." (Speaking to the other guard.)
Vin, Renz, and the Elf waited for the arrival of the so-called Mage.
It didn't take long for the Mage to arrive. Vin, Renz, and the Elf saw a tall woman in white robes, carrying a small staff in her left hand.
Without hesitation, the Mage used magic to assess the Elf's aura. With a brief glance, the Mage discerned that the petite Elf possessed a white aura.
Mage: "She's of age; she's 17 years old. Let the Elf through." (Speaking firmly to the guards.)
The Mage then turned toward Vin and Renz. She noticed Renz's white aura, but Vin's aura was entirely absent.
Mage: "(No aura? A rare occurrence.)" (Slightly intrigued.)
The Mage didn't dwell on it, as similar incidents had happened before.
Mage: "Let the two men through as well." (Glaring at Vin.)
Mage: "Strengthen the guards. The current situation is far from peaceful." (Speaking to the guards.)
Vin: "(What's going on?)" (Pondering the situation.)
Renz: "Alright, alright, let's just enter, Vin." (A slightly nervous tone.)
The Mage departed after speaking with the guards, who finally allowed the Elf, Vin, and Renz to enter the city.
Vin: "(Even without my left eye active, I can still feel the pressure of this aura.)" (Curious tone.)
The three entered the city, walking silently without speaking to one another.
From a distance, Devoria looked majestic, with its beautiful scenery and high, sturdy walls giving an impression of safety and peace. Sunlight illuminated the city, symbolizing hope. However, Vin noticed something peculiar.
Vin observed the surroundings, noting that while Devoria seemed grand and beautiful from afar, the narrow alleys between houses were littered with trash and echoed with strange noises.
Vin: "(It looks beautiful on the outside, but inside it's broken.)" (In a critical tone.)
Vin glanced at the Elf, noticing her zodiac sign, a Libra.
Vin: "(Libra? Quite rare to see.)" (Slightly surprised.)
Vin: "(No wonder there's something unique about this Elf.)" (Feeling somewhat reassured.)
Renz: "(What was Vin talking about on our way to the gate?)" (Still confused.)
Elf: "(Did that person named "Vin" just notice me earlier?)" (The Elf felt slightly uneasy.)
In no time, they arrived at the steps leading to Dilveria Academy. Since the academy was prominent and conspicuous, they didn't need to ask for directions.
Situated on a hill, though not too high, reaching the Dilveria Academy gate required climbing stairs.
Vin: "We've finally arrived." (Gazing at the academy gate.)
Renz: "Wow." (Amazed tone.)
Elf: "Huh?" (Startled, looking at Vin and Renz.)
