I set my journey to find the three remaining keys before the monster finds them. These keys will play a vital role in my vengeance against my mother's murderers. I didn't know where to start or where to begin looking, so I decided to continue walking towards the north in hopes of finding something. As I walk north, the air slowly becomes colder, and snow starts to drop.
These keys used to be one, and they were the combined spirits of the male human and female spirit. After their death, their spirits turned into one. They knew how dangerous human beings are, especially when greed is alive. So, they separated their spirits into four fragments that turned out to be a key and hid them from the world where no one could find them.
I know this story because my mother used to tell me this story before I went to sleep. Also, when she learned the story of the keys, she created a team consisting of herself and a few knights to find the keys. She didn't want the power, but she wanted to see for herself the keys and to keep them safe in our kingdom. Well, they failed despite the many attempts to find it. It was a surprise to find out that one of the keys is in Sea Canyon, guarded by… Elder Jack. I shook my head, trying to remove the memories with Elder Jack when I was a little kid. Don't worry, Elder. I will avenge your death. When I find the monster, I will kill it for you.
Anyways, it was indeed a surprise to learn that someone found one of the keys and gave it in Sea Canyon. After the demise of the two lovers, their children, who are now the Four Spiritual Kings, closed the door and sealed it from the Physical Realm for many years. The only way to open the door is if you have the four keys, or the Spirit of Light and Strength.
Whoever has the Spirit of Light and Strength has the power to unlock a door between Physical and Spiritual Realm and can control the Four Spiritual Kings whenever they want. It is rumored that the Four Spiritual Kings are powerful than the Black Dragon because they have the power to bend reality, defying physics and making genius scientists look dumb.
Who are the Four Spiritual Kings? They represent the elements around us. The Earth Spirit, Water Spirit, Air Spirit, and lastly, Fire Spirit. Among these four kings, the Air Spirit is the powerful one. It was said that the Air Spirit sucks air, removing the oxygen around us. Not only that, but it can also suck anything or anyone dry, removing the air from them. Everyone needs air, right? Well, facing the Air Spirit means death. The king doesn't need to make a move. All it takes is for it to remove the oxygen until its enemies die.
The others are still dangerous though. The Earth King can command the ground to move. It can move an entire mountain and crush you down. The Water Spirit commands the water. It can create a huge tsunami that can destroy an entire land and its habitants. While the Fire Spirit can burn everything in its sight, leaving nothing behind.
Fighting them leads to death. But there are ways to kill them if you are really smart. Me? I'm smart so I won't try to bother killing them. However, I can control them and make them my minions. Only if I find the keys first.
I walked deep in the north. Due to the heavy snow, I don't know if I am in the wilderness or outskirts already. I just kept walking and walking. On the way, I found multiple enemies ahead. Of course, a journey is not a journey if you don't have enemies around you. So, I killed them. Fighting here and there didn't make me tired, however, because of how weak they are, it definitely made me bored. After weeks of travelling in the harsh winter of the north, my body craved for warmth. I couldn't find any woods or sticks to start a fire, so I just held it in. Using magic, I heat up my body. But it takes a toll to keep using it. As day and night goes by, my body begins to build immunity against the cold.
Finally, after a week of travelling, I found a hidden civilization beneath the snow.
"I'm finally here." I said to myself. I looked around to find more hidden buildings under the snow. I didn't know how deep the snow was until I saw the buildings. I continued to explore the hidden civilization. It looks like a huge civilization, but the snow made it look small because the snow was deep, and the city was hidden under the snow.
Or so I thought until I stepped into the ice. My eyes widened in surprise. Beneath the snow, was an underground empire. Anyone passing by would ignore the ice and just walk pass the view. No one would be able to spot it if it wasn't for these bulging buildings that are always covered in snow. At first glance I thought the snow was deep to the point that it was covering the entirety of the city. But no, I was wrong. The snow wasn't that deep. It's the city that is deep in underground.
I heard of this type of kingdom. They built their cities underground or inside a cave to protect themselves from wild beasts and harsh weather. What's more, since it is snowing harshly in the north, it will be common to see lots of city whether it is big or small to be built underground.
I searched the vicinity, trying to look for an entrance. After a few minutes of looking around, I found a lever hidden under the snow. I pulled the lever and the ground shook. The pillars covered in snow lit in green light and a portal appeared at the center of the pillars. I stepped inside.
Suddenly, my body felt warm again. The blazing temperature making me sweat in a few seconds. Maybe because it's been a while since I last felt the warmth, which making me sweat profusely. I had to remove my layers to feel the fresh air of the underground. That air hit my skin, making me feel refreshed. Oh, how I missed this normal temperature...
But I wasn't here to relax. I am here to find a key. Without wasting anymore time, I began to move around the city, hoping that I can find a key inside.
