Chapter 8 - Chapter 7

WARNING! THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS RATED 18 SCENE!

Dangling from my hip is Alexis's decapitated head. After a long battle, I decided to discreetly leave the battlefield. My task was complete and there was no reason for me to stay or fight anymore. My goal was Alexis only.

Before leaving, I looked back at the almost destroyed kingdom of Mineva. Its walls that are supposed to protect them from the outside monsters are destroyed, leaving them open. Huge smoke was rising in the city and many buildings of Mineva were left in ruins. Once again, I took Alexis's head that was dangling from my hips and showed her the results of her corruption.

"Are you seeing this, Alexis? This is the fruit of your corruption. Too bad, I wish you are still alive so you can watch your hard work fall." I sighed and left the battlefield until I was no longer in the area. I didn't know where I was going and just kept walking and walking for weeks. Weeks turned into months. Of course, Alexis's decapitated head has turned into a skull, but I prefer that way though. When I get a house, I will hang this as a display in my living room. At least even in death you can make yourself useful, Alexis.

Days and night went by and I didn't know where I was. I just kept walking in the same direction, not stopping unless I had to rest. Of course, throughout this journey, I met lots of monsters that were trying to kill me on the way. However, as weeks went by, fewer monsters were appearing. Most of them are weaker. Strange, I'm in the outskirts and monsters were supposed to be active in the outskirts. But how come only few are appearing as I keep going forward?

I was curious. So I kept going in the same direction. As I ventured out, no more monsters appeared. Was I near the wilderness? No, but I stumbled on something else. A huge dark and old church was standing in the middle of nowhere. Behind the ancient church was a huge cemetery surrounded by thick forests. Only you can find forest in the wilderness, and this tells me that the church was overlapping between the outskirts and the wilderness. Of course, a curious cat will always be a curious cat. And I am that cat.

I walked inside the area. Suddenly, the cool breeze turned into an icy cold air, making me shiver from the cold. I equipped my fur coat to warm my body from the cold. I opened the gate made of dark steel with sharp pointing edges on top. As I swung the gate open, it made a creaking noise, alerting the crows that were watching me from the top of the old building. The crows flew as I opened the gate fully.

This place is giving me an eerie vibes that I feel uncomfortable with. But despite the vibes that I was getting from this place, I continued to look around like I was a tourist trying to decipher a spot. I was curious about its history. When I couldn't find anything at the front, I decided to enter inside the church. The door was made of wood, but the building was made of stones. It is old and filled with moss, and it also gives a stench that I find hard to breathe in through my nose. The door was so old that one finger was enough to break it down, the wooden door falling inside the church until it hit the ground. I stepped inside and found the floor is also made of wood. But the inside was worse. It is like a battle happened inside, leaving me baffled.

The walls were left with deep gush. Judging from its edges, it appears that there was a sword fight that happened here. The seats of the church were broken in half, some into pieces, while the floors were left with deep cracks and slashes from the fight. To add to that, blood stains were everywhere inside, making this place look like it came out of a horror scene.

"What the heck happened to this place?" I asked no one but the air. Of course, I didn't expect an answer. But curiosity was filling my mind. I continued to look around, in hopes of finding an answer to my question. When I couldn't find anything, I decided to go to the back of the church, where the cemetery resided.

Opening the wooden door of the back of the church, a sudden cold wind slapped my face. My hair is whipping around due to the strong wind. I entered at the back. I looked around only to find graveyards of those who passed away. But the cemetery was so old that even the names and dates were no longer visible. But my eye caught something unique. Rather, that piqued my interest.

In the middle of the cemetery, a huge tomb lies. It is made of marble with a color of black and white. The black part has written texts that I cannot decipher, while the white part outlines the edges of the black part. On top of the marble tomb, a huge sword with a crown was displayed.

"Is this tomb for a king?" I asked to the air, but no answer came except it only gave me a strong breeze of wind.

I circled the tomb and found a text that I could read. The text said: 'Here lies the traitor and corrupt king.' Interesting… Maybe, instead of displaying your head in my living room, I should make you a grave like this, Alexis. Here lies the hoe and traitor and murderer. I chuckled at the thought. I might actually consider that.

Suddenly, the ground shook with such intensity that I almost lost my balance. Dark mist came out from the tomb, and I immediately jumped away from it. A huge explosion suddenly burst out of the marble tomb, and skeletons began to come out of their graveyard. The skeletons were armed with swords and shields, like soldiers.

"What is happening now?" I asked again to no one. I immediately armed myself with the sword that I stole from Alexis as my reward and coated my body with green flames by using dark magic. The skeletons were too much for me to handle, so I called out my serpent. The green serpent appeared at my side, wrapping me for protection against the huge horde of undead army. But what made me shiver was the being in front of me.

The marble tomb was opened, and a huge floating skeleton wearing a black coat appeared in front of me. Holy shit, I said to myself. That is not just your ordinary skeleton, that is a Necromancer. On top of the Necromancer's head was a crown floating above its skull, and on its hand, it held the huge sword that was once displayed on top of the tomb.

Without any words spoken, the Necromancer gave orders to its army and they obeyed. They began to charge forward against me, but my serpent was faster and stronger than them. While the serpent was busy fighting against the army of undead, I went straight to the Necromancer. Our swords began to clash, and each impact left a huge gush everywhere around the ground. I purposely dropped the sword of Alexis, and jumped above the necromancer. My fists were clenched tightly and the flames wrapping me burned hotter. I released a barrage of attacks above the undead king, leaving cracks in his skull and crown. Before his sword could reach me, I quickly landed on the ground and picked up my sword. He was wide open and I began to release more attacks, completely damaging his undead body. Behind his black coat that covers his skeleton, lies his bright mana core. Without second guessing myself, I aimed at his core, leaving it crack until it was completely broken. The undead king roared in pain, and the light on his eyes began to fade away. Soon, all the undead army and himself turned into ashes, leaving along the wind.

Clutched in my hand was the fragment of his mana core. But out of nowhere, the fragments turned into a light. The light vanished inside me, and I felt a sudden surge of magic inside me. I smiled, knowing that I obtained something greater.

"Thanks for the gift." I said to no one. I was eager to test out this new power that I acquired.

I flew above the old cemetery. The view from the top wasn't great at all. It was even colder than on the ground too. My hands burst into green flames once more, and black circles with inscriptions written around them appeared beside me in the air. Then, I released the power inside me. The green flames turned into an ice that still burns with coldness behind the fire. The magic circles revolve counterclockwise. The inscriptions turned bright, and from the circles, an enormous ice fire was shot on the ground. The enormous blast has a ten mile radius, and it completely left the church and the entire cemetery into destruction.

After the blast, the smoke disappeared, leaving a huge crate of ten miles radius. I grinned from ear to ear. Finally… A new power. Who's going to be the next unlucky murderer to try this out with?
