Chapter 7 - Vira, the Healer, and Zephyros, the Air-Type

The aftermath of the 6v6 battle with Nyx still lingered in Deon's mind as he sat quietly outside House 15. The clash had been fierce, and while they had won the battle, it had come at a cost. Deon's team had taken some serious damage, and he knew that it was only a matter of time before the Barbarians returned with more force. As much as they had trained, and as powerful as his team was, Deon knew that there were still gaps in his lineup. He needed a healer to keep them in top condition and an air-type to give them the speed and versatility they lacked. His mind was already racing ahead, planning for the future.

"Flame, Jolt, Mist," Deon muttered to himself, his thoughts on his current team. "You all fought well, but we need more if we're going to keep up with what's coming."

Flame had been a fiery powerhouse, his fiery blasts scorching the battlefield, while Jolt's electric attacks had overwhelmed enemies with precision and speed. Mist, having recently evolved from Terrdan, had proven himself to be an impressive dragon-type, his strength and versatility making him an invaluable asset in battle. But it was clear that Deon's team needed balance—a healer who could mend wounds and restore energy during battle, and an air-type that could outmaneuver enemies with speed and grace.

"Let's go," Deon said, determination filling his voice. His team had earned a well-deserved rest, but it was time for him to continue his search for new allies.

Deon set out early the next morning, with the sun just beginning to rise, casting a soft golden light over the landscape. He had heard whispers of a healer named Vira in the nearby mountains—a creature with the power to heal even the most grievous wounds with a mere touch. It was said that Vira lived in harmony with nature and had an almost otherworldly connection to the earth's natural energies. If Deon could find Vira, it could be the key to ensuring his team's longevity and success in the battles to come.

The journey was long, winding through dense forests and rugged hills, but Deon was determined. As he walked, he could feel the weight of responsibility pressing on him. He had already proven himself in battle, but with each passing day, the danger from the Barbarians grew stronger. He couldn't afford to be complacent.

After hours of walking, Deon reached the foot of the mountain, where a river ran through the valley. The water was crystal clear, and the sound of the stream flowing over rocks was calming, almost meditative. Deon followed the path along the river, knowing that Vira's dwelling was somewhere nearby.

As the day wore on, Deon began to notice something unusual. The air felt different—calm, serene, but there was an underlying energy that hummed through the atmosphere. It was as if the world itself was holding its breath, waiting for something.

Then, just as the sun began to set, Deon reached a clearing near the base of the mountain. In the center of the clearing stood a large stone arch, covered in vines and moss. A soft glow emanated from the arch, and as Deon approached, he could feel the energy of the place intensifying.

In the center of the arch stood Vira, the healer.

Vira was a striking figure—tall and graceful, with pale blue skin that shimmered faintly in the twilight. Its long, flowing hair cascaded around its shoulders like a waterfall, shifting from pale blue to silvery-white as it caught the light. Vira's eyes were deep and knowing, glowing with a soft light as if reflecting the wisdom of centuries. Deon could feel the healer's presence before he even spoke, an aura of tranquility and power that surrounded the creature like a protective shield.

"You've come for healing," Vira said, its voice soft and melodic, carrying the weight of centuries of knowledge. It wasn't a question, but a statement of understanding.

Deon nodded. "Yes. My team and I have been through a lot. We won the battle against Nyx, but there are gaps in our lineup. We need a healer—someone who can mend wounds in the heat of battle, someone who can keep us strong when the fight gets too tough."

Vira's gaze softened, and for a moment, it seemed as though the healer was considering Deon's request. Finally, Vira spoke.

"I have watched you, Deon Lue. You and your team possess strength, courage, and a bond that few can claim. But you are right. You need balance. You need someone who can heal, who can restore what is lost, and who can protect your team when the battle rages on."

Deon's heart quickened, his hopes rising. "Will you join us?"

Vira was silent for a moment before it stepped forward, its form glowing brighter as it moved. With a graceful motion, Vira extended a hand toward Deon, offering him a connection.

"I will," Vira said simply. "But know this: I cannot heal what the heart cannot mend. Your team must be united in purpose, and you must lead them with wisdom and strength."

Deon smiled, relieved and grateful. "I will. I promise."

With that, the healer, Vira, stepped closer, its healing aura enveloping Deon. A wave of calm washed over him, and for the first time in days, he felt at peace. Vira's healing energy wasn't just physical—it soothed his mind and soul, filling him with clarity and strength.

The next part of Deon's journey was to find the air-type creature that would add the speed and agility his team desperately needed. He had heard rumors of a creature named Zephyros—a magnificent beast with the power to control the wind and fly faster than the eye could follow. Zephyros was said to be elusive, residing in the highest peaks of the mountains, where the winds howled and the skies stretched endlessly.

Deon knew that this would be no easy task, but with Vira now by his side, he felt confident that he could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

He trekked further up the mountain, through thick fog and cold winds, following the sounds of the howling air. Hours passed, and just as he was beginning to lose hope, a sudden gust of wind swept through the cliffs. It was then that Deon saw it—Zephyros.

The creature was magnificent. Its body was sleek and powerful, with wings that seemed to be made of the very air itself. Its feathers shimmered in shades of pale blue and silver, and its eyes glowed with the energy of the wind. Zephyros was a being of pure grace and strength, a creature who could command the air and soar through the skies with ease.

Zephyros landed in front of Deon with a light flutter, the wind swirling around it in a whirl of energy.

"I am Zephyros," the creature said, its voice like the wind itself, soft and yet powerful. "You seek my aid."

Deon nodded, awestruck by the creature's presence. "Yes. My team is strong, but we lack the speed and mobility we need to face the battles ahead. Will you join us?"

Zephyros tilted its head, considering the question. Then, with a graceful flutter of its wings, it nodded.

"I will join you," Zephyros said, its voice calm and sure. "Together, we will control the wind and rise above the storms."

With that, Deon smiled, feeling the bond with Zephyros form instantly. "Thank you."

With Vira and Zephyros now part of his team, Deon made his way back to House 15, where Flame, Jolt, and Mist were waiting. The team was growing stronger, and with these two new allies by his side, Deon felt ready for whatever the future held.

The battle against Nyx may have ended, but there were more challenges ahead. The Barbarians weren't done yet, and Deon knew that with his newly strengthened team, he would be ready.

"We're ready for whatever comes next," Deon said, looking out at the horizon, his heart filled with determination.

Together, with Vira's healing powers and Zephyros's mastery of the wind, Deon knew that they could face anything the world threw at them.
