Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Titanic

The next morning, Su Qing woke up before dawn because of the pain.

Since I became a translator, I have been getting tired more easily and my appetite has not been very good.

Moreover, I have stomach pain from time to time.

Su Qing knew clearly about these symptoms. It was probably because he had consumed a lot of his own energy when he used the space-based equipment last time. This caused serious sequelae in his body, which in turn aggravated the spread of cancer cells.

In other words, he doesn't have much time left.

He lay in bed and thought silently for a while. When it was bright outside, Su Qing got up, washed up quickly and went out.

After sunrise, the streets are crowded with people, walking very fast, all of them are the lower class people who are struggling for their own lives. In the early 20th century, the British nation was strong, and the lives of ordinary people were rich, but they still had to work, and the British people at this time were already rolling up.

Su Qing walked among the crowd, his unhurried steps and yellow skin made him look so out of place.

Ignoring the various looks from the people around him, he walked through two streets.

As soon as I turned a corner, I saw a boy of about 13 or 14 years old in shabby clothes, carrying a canvas bag, selling newspapers in his hand to passers-by.

Unfortunately, most people were not interested, and after shouting for a few minutes, he didn't sell a single copy.

Su Qing stood there and thought about it, and realized that after coming to the world of darkness, he had not yet carefully understood all aspects of the information.

When he was at the mine, he thought that with his knowledge of history, he could become a CEO and reach the pinnacle of his life. However, he was slapped in the face by reality and had to give up.

Now that he had hope, he naturally regained that thought in his heart.

However, the exact operation will have to wait until the cancer is cured. Knowing more information now can be considered as preparation for the future.

Thinking of this, Su Qing stretched out her hand and waved to the boy.

The boy on the roadside was feeling depressed because he didn't sell a single newspaper. When he saw someone waving at him, a smile immediately appeared on his face and he trotted over.

"Sir, would you like to buy a newspaper?" the boy asked in an expectant tone as he approached.

"How much is one serving?" Su Qing didn't respond and asked the price directly.

  "Sixpence."

  "Give me one."

  "Here is your newspaper, sir."

The boy's face lit up and he took out a newspaper and handed it over.

Su Qing took the newspaper and paid for it.

"Sir, please take care of yourself first..."

The boy ran away with a smile and continued to sell newspapers from street to street.

With a smile, Su Qing withdrew his gaze and spread out the newspaper to see if there was any historical information he knew.

But when he saw the headline on the front page of the newspaper, he was stunned.

[Unprecedented, the world's largest ship, the Titanic will be officially launched eight days later, on May 31st]

  "Titanic?"

Su Qing opened his eyes wide and looked at the row of English words on the title again, and found that it was not his eyesight that was dazzled, it was indeed Titanic.

Of course he knew this ship.

In real history, the Titanic really existed, but it hit an iceberg and sank during its later voyage.

Later, in order to commemorate this event, people made a movie based on the prototype and name of the ship.

Su Qing has watched this movie twice, once when he was young and once as an adult.

I was young and full of energy, and I couldn't appreciate the mood of the movie at all. I kept fast-forwarding the whole time, mainly because of some uncut clips.

After becoming an adult, I have become much more mature and steady, and after entering society and experiencing all kinds of life, I watched the film slowly, without rushing or being impatient, from beginning to end, without clicking on fast forward once, and was secretly relieved after seeing the death of the male protagonist, that Lao Wang was finally punished.

  so...

One is history, the other is a movie. Which one is the Titanic mentioned in the newspaper?

  "What a mess!"

Shaking his head, Su Qing felt helpless.

He has only been in this world for more than 20 days, and his worldview has been refreshed three times.

He was really scared, afraid of being slapped in the face again.

Forget it, there's no point in thinking too much.

Su Qing stood there and thought for a while, ending his useless thoughts and secretly making a decision.

After I download the bloodline to cure my cancer, I will buy a ticket to go on the Titanic for an on-site inspection and learn the truth through practice.

After watching the movie, he knew that the Titanic set sail and sank in 1912.

I'm sorry I can't remember the exact month. After all, who would specifically keep track of the time when watching a movie?

But it is only the late May of 2011, and there are still 7 months until 2012.

With so much time, there is still time for everything.

Su Qing flicked the newspaper in his hand and glanced at the rest of the information.

I found that except for the Titanic at the beginning, the rest of the articles in the newspaper were just some trivial events not worth mentioning.

Seeing this, Su Qing also lost interest.

He threw it away and walked away.

After he left, the newspaper fluttered in the wind and happened to fall at the feet of two passers-by.

The two men were very young, probably in their early twenties.

The young man on the right has thick flaxen curly hair, pink thin lips, deep blue eyes... Although his facial features cannot be called handsome, all his facial features combined together form a gorgeous, unrestrained and uninhibited angelic face.

The young man on the left is wearing a beret, is a little older, has some stubble on his face, and is wearing brown clothes.

The flax-haired young man bent down to pick up the newspaper and said to his friend beside him, "Hey, Fabriochi, look what I found."

The young man in the beret shook his head helplessly, "Jack, isn't this just a discarded newspaper? What else could it be?"

"No, Fabriochi." Jack's eyes sparkled with excitement. He spread out the newspaper and pointed at the Titanic on the newspaper, and said excitedly: "This is our future."

"Oh my God, Jack, it's just a big ship. It hasn't come yet." Fabriziochi exaggerated.

"No, you see, the newspaper said that this big ship is expected to be completed next year, and its first destination is the Eagle Country (referring to the United States)."

"Fabriozzi, if we can get on this ship, we can return to our homeland." Jack's face was full of excitement and expectation.

"Listen to me, my friend. I know you want to go back to Eagle Country, but we don't have money to buy a boat ticket."

"For such a big ship, the ticket must cost a lot of money, which we can't afford." Fabriziochi sighed, trying to persuade his friend to face the facts.

Unfortunately, Jack didn't agree with what he said.

He was very optimistic and encouraged: "My friend, everyone should have dreams. If we work together and save money, we will definitely be able to buy a ticket to the future."

"Okay, it's up to you, but don't drag me into this." Fabriziochi rubbed his temple and could only let his friend go.

"Let's go, we must find a job today."

Jack carefully folded the newspaper in half and put it in his pocket, then waved to his friend.

"Come on, come on. By the way, are you sure that tavern is still hiring?"

"Not sure, but it's always a good idea to go and have a look..."

  "…"

As they talked, the two merged into the crowd and disappeared into the street.

On the other side, Su Qing walked a few more streets and finally found a men's clothing store.

Entering the store, the owner is a middle-aged man, busy with his work.

  "welcome..."

Hearing the footsteps, he subconsciously looked up and spoke, but when he saw that the person coming was a yellow-skinned Easterner, he immediately stopped talking. Although there was no obvious expression on his face, disgust could be seen in his eyes.

  Su Qing: "…"

  This is discrimination, right?

  OK, OK, OK.

But the more you do this, the less I can do as you wish.

Su Qing kept her expression unchanged and deliberately ignored the boss's face. She walked into the store and wandered around for a long time until the store owner's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot. Only then did she leave with satisfaction.

Then I walked around for a while and found another clothing store.

The owner of this store had a neither-good-nor-bad attitude, so Su Qing no longer wanted to continue looking.

I simply bought a set of clothes and changed into them on the spot, bought a few more sets of clothes to take with me, and then turned around and walked back.
