Chapter 22 - registering for the tournament

As Lilith stood before Carl, she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence. The monarch of Lucifer's darkness was a being of immense power and wisdom, and Lilith felt honored to be in his presence.

Lilith's eyes seemed to bore into his very soul as she began to speak, her voice low and husky. "Carl, son of Hades, I sense that you are not aware of the intricacies of this world. As the advisor of the monarch of darkness Lucifer's champion, it is my duty Carl to enlighten you."

She paused, her gaze sweeping across the hall as if searching for something. "This world is a realm of eternal darkness, where the strong survive and the weak perish. The inhabitants of this realm are beings of darkness, creatures born from the shadows and nurtured by the power of Lucifer."

Lilith's eyes refocused on Carl, her expression serious. "As the son of Hades, you possess a unique affinity for this realm. Your presence here is not a coincidence, Carl. You have been brought here for a purpose, a purpose that only you can fulfill."

She leaned forward, her voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "In three months' time, a tournament will be held in this realm. The greatest warriors and beings of darkness will gather to compete for the ultimate prize: the title of God of Darkness and then will proceed to the other realms of other Gods challenging their Monarch's to prove to the nameless one that the realms of darkness has finally made their return with their God beside them."

Lilith's eyes seemed to gleam with excitement as she continued. "As the monarch of the darkness of Lucifer, you have the power to enroll into this tournament. But first, you must prove yourself worthy. You must spend the next month learning the ways of this realm, understanding its intricacies and mastering its power."

Carl felt his mind reeling as he tried to process the sheer magnitude of what Lilith was offering him. He was being given the chance to compete for his title,God of Darkness, to become the most powerful being in this realm.

Lilith's voice cut through his thoughts, her words dripping with urgency. "You must be careful, Carl. The tournament will be fraught with danger, and the competition will be fierce. But I sense that you possess the potential to succeed where others have failed."

She leaned back in her throne, her expression enigmatic. "So, Carl, son of Hades, I ask you: are you prepared to embark on this journey, to risk everything for the chance to become the God of Darkness?"

Carl felt his heart pounding in his chest as he considered Lilith's words. He knew that this would be a journey unlike any other, a journey that would test his limits and push him to the very edge of sanity.

But he also knew that he couldn't turn his back on this opportunity. He had to take the risk, no matter how great the danger.

With a deep breath, Carl nodded his head, his voice firm and resolute. "I'm ready, Lilith. I'll do whatever it takes to become the God of Darkness."

Lilith's face broke into a wide, enigmatic smile, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Then let us begin, Carl. Let us start your journey to become the God of Darkness."

She then took him to a passage that led to the sect's greatest library in all of the dark realms with books that had been written eon's ago and stored by Lucifer while he was wandering in all realms performing his duty as the God of darkness and the punisher of the wicked these books was his treasures and that's when Lilith dropped the news to him.

"You are going to stay here for a month and I expect you to finish all that in this library for you need to know the strength and weakness of all the gods residing in this realms if you don't want to be killed or sealed in a cave, and also learn the ethics of being a monarch of a god and for your draconic friend here would be a treasure to him for he shall know where his bloodline originated from for he releases the Aura of the lost God's of the dragons and it seems the dark realms are about to make friends with the dragons for thier Monarch seems loyal to you my lord which means he also have the right to participate in the tournament see you in a month time".

As the days passed, Carl and Mike delved deeper into the vast repository of knowledge contained within the library's walls. The tomes they pored over were ancient and worn, their pages yellowed with age and filled with the whispers of forgotten lore.

Lucifer's personal collection, handpicked over eons, was a treasure trove of forbidden knowledge and arcane secrets. The two companions spent hours pouring over the texts, devouring the information like starving men at a feast.

As the month drew to a close, Carl and Mike finally emerged from the library, their minds reeling with the sheer scope of what they had learned. The air outside was crisp and cool, a welcome respite from the musty scent of old parchment and leather-bound tomes.

As they stepped out into the bright sunlight, they were greeted by a group of robed figures, their faces hidden behind masks of polished silver. The figures bowed low, their voices echoing in unison.

"Greetings, Carl, son of Hades and the monarch of Velma God's of the dragons. We have been sent to escort you to the pre-morridal arena, where Lilith awaits your presence."

Carl's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with the implications. "What is the purpose of this gathering?" he asked, his voice firm and commanding.

The robed figures bowed again, their voices echoing in response. "The creatures of the dark realms have been summoned with some elites of the dragon men to compete for the title of monarch. Lilith, advisor of the monarch of darkness, awaits your presence at the arena."

Mike's eyes gleamed with excitement, his voice barely above a whisper. "This is it, Carl. This is our chance to prove ourselves, to show the world what we're capable of."

Carl's gaze swept across the horizon, his mind focused on the challenges ahead. He knew that the road to becoming the monarch of the dark rooms would be fraught with danger, but he was ready.

With a nod, he turned to the robed figures. "Lead on. We will not keep Lilith waiting."

The figures bowed once more, before turning to lead Carl and Mike towards the pre-morridal arena. As they walked, the air grew thick with anticipation, the very atmosphere seeming to vibrate with the promise of battle and bloodshed.

Carl's heart pounded in his chest, his senses on high alert. He knew that the trials ahead would be fierce, but he was ready. For he was the son of Hades, and he would not be defeated.
