Chapter 26 - Semi finals 2.

The day of the semi-finals had finally arrived, and the arena was electric with anticipation. The air was thick with the hum of excitement, as contestants, dignitaries, and spectators from all corners of the world gathered in one place to witness the spectacle.

The arena itself was a marvel of engineering, with towering walls and a vast, open space that seemed to stretch on forever. The seats were packed with a diverse crowd of beings, each one representing a different God or pantheon.

As the crowd settled in, the skies above the arena darkened, and a brilliant flash of colorful lights illuminated the air. The lights were made of pure mana, and they pulsed with an otherworldly energy.

As the lights faded, a figure appeared in the center of the arena. He was a Nephilim, a being of divine blood, with wings as white as snow and eyes that shone like stars.

The Nephilim raised his hands, and his voice boomed out across the arena, echoing off the walls. "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the semi-finals of the Wings of God tournament! Today is the day we've all been waiting for, the moment when the greatest warriors in the world will clash in a battle for supremacy!"

The crowd erupted into cheers, with some spectators shouting and others chanting the names of their favorite contestants. The Nephilim smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, a spectacle that occurs only once every hundred years. The stakes are high, the competition is fierce, and only the strongest will emerge victorious!"

As the Nephilim finished speaking, the crowd fell silent, their eyes fixed on the arena floor. The contestants, including Mike and Carl, stood ready, their eyes burning with determination.

The semi-finals were about to begin, and the fate of the world would soon be decided. The crowd held its collective breath, waiting for the signal to start the battle. And then, in an instant, the arena erupted into chaos, as the contestants clashed in a frenzy of steel and magic.

The Nephilim raised his hands once more, and a brilliant light illuminated the arena. "Let the semi-finals of the Wings of God tournament begin!" he declared, his voice echoing off the walls.

The crowd erupted into cheers as the contestants charged into battle. Mike and Carl stood back-to-back, their eyes scanning the arena for any sign of their opponents.

The Monarch of Wind, a tall and lithe figure with wings as delicate as a butterfly's, swooped down from the skies, her sword flashing in the light. The Monarch of Water, a hulking giant with skin as blue as the ocean, charged forward, his massive fists swinging wildly he quickly defeated his opponent and chased down the daughter of Zeus the monarch of lightning defeating her in mere minutes.

The Monarch of Earth, a sturdy warrior with her skin as rough as bark, stood firm, her eyes fixed on Mike and Carl. And the Monarch of Light, a being of pure energy with wings as radiant as the sun, hovered above the battlefield, his eyes shining with an inner light.

The battle raged on, with each contestant fighting for their place in the finals. Mike and Carl fought in perfect sync, their movements fluid and deadly. They took down the Monarch of Wind with ease, and then turned their attention to the Monarch of Water.

But the Monarch of Water was no pushover. He swung his massive fists with incredible force, sending Mike and Carl flying across the arena. They picked themselves up, their eyes blazing with determination, and charged forward once more.

The battle raged on for what seemed like hours, with each contestant fighting for their place in the finals. In the end, it was Carl and Gary who emerged victorious, their will and determination proving too strong for their opponents.

As the dust settled, the Nephilim appeared once more, a smile on his face. "And the winners of the semi-finals are... Carl and Gary!" he declared, his voice echoing off the walls.

The crowd erupted into cheers as Gary stood victorious, His arms raised in triumph. he had made it to the finals, and he were one step closer to claiming the title of God of Gods while Carl went to check up on his good friend Mike who seemed to have been gravely injured by Gary Poseidon his eyes burning with anger and that's when Mike interrupted his thoughts and said.

"Carl make sure you beat that bastard to pulp please hope I can count on you and I hope you get the title of God's of God I await your success brother".

he said in tears before fainting and this gesture made Carl mad as his darkness grew stronger engulfing him in a deadly fog he turned to Gary and told him he awaits him in the finals due to him being the son of Hades and the Nephilim didn't say his full monarch title the executives which consist of all the Gods who their Monarch is down there didn't notice that he was the next Lucifer.

Poseidon praised his son and mocked Mike for being weak as he couldn't even protect his body and his son was likely to be the winner mind all Hades could do was shout.

But as the both of them stood there, basking in the adoration of the crowd, they knew that their greatest challenge was yet to come. The finals would be a battle unlike any they had ever faced before, and they would need all their strength and cunning to emerge victorious.

Carl carried Mike to the infirmary while also lifting Lydia monarch of wind as appreciation for yesterday and quickly left the arena for the wellness of his friend's he retracted his darkness making it slowly relaxing because the infirmary walls are not able to withstand the pressure emanating from him and the healers quickly got to work for They don't want Carl to get angry and end their life it wasn't easy but they managed to heal his wounds and told Carl that it would take a while before they would both awaken they made sure their princess was in safe hands before leaving the room leaving only Carl there sleeping on the table.
