Danny's POV
Flashback_
A few days before Caspian joined E.A
'I hate them all. Calling themselves defenders of justice yet they are the reason the country is in its current state. They put us in danger and make us think that they will protect us.
'One day, I'll destroy them all. That, I promise myself.
'At the moment, Caspian doesn't know what he's doing. He's fighting for the wrong reasons, for an illusive good. But I will open his eyes, I will give him Enlightenment.'
Not long ago I realized how wrong I had been from the beginning. I wasn't gonna let anyone else make the same mistake I made back then.
It was time for project Echo.
They say knowledge is power, and they've never been more accurate. What happened on that day at Arsenal Island only I could do.
Arsenal Island is one of the four islands that make up the Echo Nexus.
Trust me, not even the smartest person on the planet could do it. It required a certain unachievable level of understanding of how every single thing and person on the island works or thinks.
The plan was quite simple yet complex. I know that island inside and outside. Every trapdoor, every secret tunnel, every guard post, even the shifting time. This is what gave my plan life. And it was working flawlessly.
The weather was perfect for the event. Thick gray clouds covered the whole sky and a cold dry wind brushed the buildings. The guards were completely unaware of the ongoing, as they enjoyed hot coffee at their posts.
I had one of my agents break into the CCTV control room through an underground tunnel. These tunnels are unknown even to most of the top leaders of E.A. Somehow, as long as the CCTV cameras couldn't see you, the lasers couldn't either. Poor engineering if you ask me.
So now, we were basically invisible to all technology. I assigned each of my agents a special card that allows access to every building and room. Even most elite agents do not have access to one, let alone four. How did I get them? We'll answer that question later.
The mission had one objective. Break into the arsenal house and steal a certain something. After that, we would walk out of there like nothing had happened. Of course they would find out we were there, but by the time they realize it, we'd be long gone.
As we were navigating through the unguarded underground tunnels, I realized something.
"Keep going without me. The two of you should be able to retrieve the package without any trouble. Stay in touch with Lizzy. She should provide you with any remote assistance you'll need. There's something I should take care of."
When we reached a dividing tunnel, we split ways. It wasn't too difficult to reach the QP Towers, the biggest building on the island.
After I surfaced, I walked up to the main doors of the building. There he was. I could see him through the huge glass doors standing at the reception, talking to the receptionist. The moment I looked at him, he turned and looked me straight in the eyes. A look I have to admit caught me off guard. It was almost as if he knew exactly who I was.
'So this is the infamous Caspian Flynn.'
I kinda got terrified by the look he gave me. He left the receptionist and began walking straight towards me, eyes still locked.
'What is he doing?'
For the first time since I can remember, I panicked. The last thing I saw was a calm dark blue glow appear in his eyes before he vanished.
'Where did he go!'
Just then, he instantly appeared before me, his glowing fists pulled back.
'No!'
