I ran down the alleyway of the streets of Tokyo, heading toward a Judgement Base to begin my mission. I stopped at a side door of the building, looking around before rushing inside and darting under a flight of stairs to avoid being seen by other Judgement members.
I pressed a button on my earpiece, contacting the Commander of Judgement. "Hisumi reporting...I have infiltrated the Judgement Base in Tokyo. Waiting for commands. Who is the traitor that has supposedly betrayed us?"
"Krrtz...bzzz...Good job. Your target is Morata Eta. He is the traitor that you need to kill. I have zero doubt in my mind that you can complete this task...you may head up and eliminate him...krrtz..." The commander responded.
"Understood," I said, ending the communication then peeked around the corner to make sure the coast was clear.
Once the coast was cleared, I darted from my spot, hurrying up the stairs to the top floor where Morata was located. Making it to the top floor, I bursted through the office door, pointing my gun at the man standing in front of the window.
"Hands in the air now, Morata! You and your faction are being taken down right now!" I demanded, keeping my aim on Morata.
Morata held his hands up, looking back at me from over his shoulder and chuckled softly. He turned around to face me, tilting his head up slightly in a cocky manner. "Well, well, well...if it isn't the Top Agent of Judgement, Hisumi Nomura. What a pleasant surprise seeing you all the way in Tokyo..."
"Save the small talk, Morata! This is the end of you and your betrayal! Now let's make this nice and easy...don't even try to resist either!" I scoffed, placing my finger on the trigger of my gun.
Morata chuckled softly, closing his eyes and shook his slowly. "Betrayal huh? Is that what Commander told you I did?"
"That is exactly what she said you did! She would never lie to me to steer me wrong! You betrayed us, so now I'm here to eliminate you..." I answered, getting ready to fire the bullet at Morata.
Just as I was about to fire the bullet, a few Judgement members appeared behind me, apprehending me and took me to the ground. I let out a loud grunt, opening one eye to look up, noticing Morata walking toward me.
"You poor soul, Hisumi. I never betrayed anyone...if anything this was truly a set up," Morata revealed, chuckling darkly at me, crouching down in front of me.
I growled lowly at Morata, struggling to break out if the hold I was in. "What are you talking about?"
"This mission was a set up...to eliminate you. You see, after having years of your service because of your father, we've realized that you have a lot of Spirit Energy within you. A lot more than the typical man should have," Morata began then stood up, pacing from side to side slowly.
"Ever since you were young, and when your father showed us your immense energy, we knew we had to breed you. Groom you into what you are now. With your Spirit Energy, Judgement's plan of making the Commander into a Ruler will become a reality," He continued, stopping in front of me and looked down at me.
I grit my teeth, my eyes bearing the expression of hurt and anger in them. I couldn't believe what he was saying, one half of my mind not wanting to believe that I was set up by the Commander to be killed myself.
"Long story short...this whole plan that was set up by the Commander was just for you to be the one getting killed. Don't worry, we shall make sure your Spirit Energy goes to good use," Morata laughed softly, picking up my gun and making sure it was loaded.
I struggled even harder within the grips of the Judgement members, grunting as I resisted against their hold. They pinned me down on the ground even harder, the more I struggled the harder they held down on me.
Morata pointed my gun at me, looking down at me with a smirk. "Any last words..?"
My hair shadowed my eyes, my struggling suddenly stopping. The Judgement members kept their hold on me, looking down at me with cautious gazes. I didn't answer Morata's question, my silence hanging high in the air.
Morata sighed dramatically, shrugging his shoulders. "It isn't as fun when you just give up like this. No matter through, I'll just put you out of your misery..."
Morata pulled the trigger, firing a bullet at me but my Spirit Energy surrounded my body, deflecting the bullet. I grit my teeth and used my aura to blast the Judgement members off me and stood up slowly. I summoned my katana via my lightning energy, getting into my stance and looked at Morata with rage and hatred.
"Well...seems like someone still has a little fight in them, but sadly this battle is already over before it even began," Morata said, stepping backwards and chuckled lowly, taunting me as he took out the old magazine in the gun, loading the gun with new Alchemical Bullets.
I let out a battle cry and launched myself toward Morata. "I'll kill you for this!"
Morata side stepped my slash then ducked under my next attack, pointing the gun at my chest then fired the bullet. I groaned in pain as the bullet pierced through my energy and my chest, causing me to stumble backwards. Morata fired a second bullet at me, the bullet sending me impacting against the window.
"Goodbye, Hisumi..." Morata smirked at me, releasing a force of energy to send me crashing through the window.
I held my hand up, trying to grasp upon anything to save myself as I fell from the top story of the building. I lowered my hand, crashing onto the cold ground, feeling my warm blood pooling underneath me. My ears rang, my vision grew blurry, my breathing slowed until I was on my last breath...
Moments began to pass, everything felt cold, yet warm at the same time. My once dead heart began beating again, my body regaining it's temperature once more. Though my insides were warm, I felt cold...and wet. Soaked even.
Opening my eyes slowly, I noticed I was still in the place I once died, still wearing the same clothes, though it felt baggier than usual. Slowly, I sat up, my hair falling over my eyes once more. I looked at my hand, moving my fingers to confirm I was still alive.
'Did...I survive that fall? How long was I out for..?' I thought then slowly stood up, using the wall as support to stand onto my feet.
I walked forward, holding my arm and shivered slightly from the cold air and the light rain pouring down upon me. As I began making my way out the alleyway, I heard someone whistle at me to get my attention. I stopped walking, turning to the source of the whistle and noticed three guys leaned against the wall, cat calling me.
'What the hell? Why are they cat calling me? I don't swing that way,' I thought, looking at them with a mix of confusion and annoyance.
"Hey there, beautiful. You look lost. Me and my crew will be able to protect you," The guy said, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me toward him.
I grunted softly and elbowed the guy in his stomach, moving away from him quickly. "What the heck are you doing?!"
I gasped softly, hearing my voice and noticed it sounded higher pitch, more feminine than my original voice. I touched my lips then immediately felt around my body, my hand grabbing upon something that felt soft and pillowy.
"Ugh...it's another one of these paranoid chicks," One of the guy sighed, watching as I frantically felt around my body.
"No worries, I can definitely fix her," The leader of the three said, stepping forward toward me. He cleared his throat, putting on a charming persona for me. "Hey, you can calm down...we aren't going to hurt you."
I noticed the guy approaching me again, my first instinct being to create more distance between us. 'What is going on right now? Am I a woman? Is that why this guy keeps trying to charm me? Ugh... I feel so different...my body is so tight...'
"I think she's just a little shy," The other guy chuckled, watching as I kept my distance from the group.
"Hey, babe, don't worry. We don't bite, at least not that hard. You look like you need some protection. After all, it is a dangerous world out there..~" The leader said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me toward him.
I grunted and fought against his pulling, trying to escape his grip but due to my new autonomy, I was weaker than him. "Let me go, you creep! What...is your problem..!?"
"We just want some fun, babe," The leader chuckled softly and kept pulling me toward him.
Panicking, my body instinctively awakened my Spirit Energy all at once as a defensive mechanism, releasing a burst of volatile energy, blasting the leader and his friends away and causing a moderate explosion in the alleyway. The guys groaned in pain, the three of them getting sent crashing through walls.
I looked a bit surprised, hearing dogs barking and sirens blaring through the city as a response to my emotionally distressed reaction. I grunted softly and ran off, my mind racing with a million questions per second.
'What is happening right now?! How am I alive? Why am I still alive? Why am I a woman right now?!' I thought as I ran off to find a safe place to hide out for the moment while I tried to figure everything out.
I ran through the alleyway, cutting corners until I found a door and hurried through it, entering an abandoned building. I closed the door quickly, locking it then took a few steps backwards, gulping and trying to catch my breath slightly.
I stepped backwards and leaned against the wall, sliding down slowly while running my fingers through my hair. I sat down on the ground, closing my eyes to try and figure out what was going on and why this was all happening. Everything was happening so fast, leaving me no time to process anything.
"Ugh...first I get betrayed...now this? What was the point of me coming back to life if I'm just gonna have more problems on top of this..?" I groaned softly, closing my eyes and leaning my head against the wall.
I let out a soft exhale and opened my eyes to stare at the ceiling. I reached into my pocket, taking out my phone and noticed how cracked and destroyed it was. I let out a frustrated sigh as nothing was going my way at the moment.
I decided to get up and wander around to find a bathroom. I traversed the empty building, the air inside here more cold than the cool air outside. My steps echoed throughout the halls as I traversed and soon found the bathroom.
Stepping inside, I turned on the lights and grunted softly as she shine of the bulbs slightly disoriented and blinded me. I stepped forward, looking at myself in the mirror, running my hands along my soft skin. I looked at my soft blue eyes, my light brown hair, and my additional "features".
Unbuttoning my shirt slowly, I opened it, taking a look at my new natural body. I couldn't help but to stare at myself. "This is so weird...but at least I was reborn into someone hot, though it feels kinda more like a curse than a blessing right now..."
I continued to check myself out, staring at myself in the mirror and adjusting to my new anatomy. I gently held my chest in my hands, giving them a soft squeeze and grunted softly. I was still reeling in from how bizarre this entire experience was.
I wasn't able to fully bask in it as I began to hear voices inside the building. Quickly, I shut off the lights and leaned against the wall to listen in to the conversation.
"There's no denying that a woman caused that explosion. Men can't even produce that much Spirit Energy without amps and even if they were some special exception like Godric Anders and Oswald Fearghas, that blast was too potent," A woman said as she walked through the building.
"You do realize that Godric and Oswald are literally two of the most powerful men with Spirit Energy right? They are in the history books y'know," Another woman said, following behind her friend.
"Ugh, don't remind me of classes right now while we are on a mission. Anyways, you really think she's still in here? This place doesn't really scream shelter," The first woman asked, her tone sounding more causal and carefree.
"If you used your Spirit Sense, you can tell that her tracks are still prominent in here. Geez, sometimes I wonder how you're even a B Rank Valkyria if it weren't for your phenomenal combat prowess..." The second woman sighed, her tone sounding more serious yet still rather lighthearted.
I could hear their steps getting closer and I looked around the bathroom for a place to hide, but it was a public restroom with only stalls to hide in. Before I could think about hiding away, the bathroom door opened and I turned around, seeing the two women standing at the door.
"It's this chick? I guess anyone can be strong I guess," The first woman said.
The first woman had striking white hair styled in a loose, long braid, giving her a unique and edgy look. She had bright yellow eyes with a sharp, confident gaze that hinted at a rebellious or independent personality.
She was wearing a sporty and modern outfit, which includes a red and black jacket layered over a white, fitted bodysuit with red accents. The color scheme and style of her clothing had an athletic and futuristic look, possibly influenced by streetwear or combat gear, giving her a tough, active vibe.
"Well, her blast was more like a shockwave to be fair. It isn't like she blew up the building," The second woman said, crossing her arms as she looked at me.
The second woman had long, flowing dark purple hair, giving her an intense and fierce look. Her sharp gaze and focused expression suggested a serious and determined personality, perhaps someone who was highly skilled and ready for combat.
She was wearing a futuristic, form-fitting combat suit in shades of red and black, which included armor-like plating on her arms, legs, and torso for protection. The armor design was sleek and streamlined, enhancing her agility while still offering defense, likely suited for a high-speed, high-intensity battle environment.
I gulped lightly and took a step back from the two. "W-Who are you two?"
The first woman smiled at me and pointed at herself with her thumb. "My name is Yumeji Kugo! Best of the Best Valkyria and the best in the world! You can say that I'm number one!
"My name is Kikyo Maeda, a B Rank Valkyria from St. Fraskia Academy. We were told to look for you due to your Spirit Energy. Our Professor sensed your energy after your incident and wanted to recruit you," Kikyo informed, bowing at me.
I looked at the two of them, knowing they weren't Judgement members, but their power levels were quite high, sending shivers down my spine. I gulped lightly and stared at the two of them. "Recruit me..?"
"We need more Valkyrias and our academy is recruiting literally any woman with a pulse. Our academy is an all female academy and rather secure. Plus, we can tell your energy is volatile. You could use the training!" Yumeji said, giving me a thumbs up.
"Please just come with us. We can tell you need a place to stay and we can provide for you. Just follow us," Kikyo said, turning on her heels and walked off.
I watched as Yumeji walked off as well, leaving me alone in the restroom to my own thoughts. I didn't know what to do at this moment, but I felt it was more safe in follow the two instead of staying alone in an abandoned building. I hurried after them, still weary but curious about the two.
