Chapter 42: Saying Farewells.
Arianna's POV
"I'm leaving" I said to Laura who looked like she was lost in thought thinking about not getting to see me for months.
"Yes, you are," she said, giving a nervous chuckle.
"You look like you will miss my taunting a great deal, but sorry, you are boring, I won't miss you" I said and her brows furrowed, the sadness in her face disappearing.
I wanted to make fun of her one more time and I'm glad I did.
"You really have ways of making people angry, no wonder Cole didn't like you" she said and then after realizing what she had said, she gasped.
My face changed, clouded in sorrow but it only lasted for a second as I turned her words into a joke, chuckling like my life depended on it.
It was like I was using a chuckle to replace some drops of tears.
I was getting over Cole's rejection but I didn't stop liking him.
