Chapter 56 - The Threat

Amelia returned home feeling more drained and anxious than ever after receiving Blaze's text message. She was mad at herself for getting carried away and Pascal for reporting her to his boss.

Now, because of her, a young and famous man's life could be at risk.

Every attempt made to contact Blaze was met with a cold silence. She could tell he was really mad at her because he wasn't taking her calls or replying to her text messages.

After taking her bath and eating something light, she retired to bed for the night, her thoughts in chaos.

Then an idea hit her.

Picking up her phone, she dialled Marcus's number. Luckily for her, he picked on the first ring.

"Good evening, Madam." Marcus's tone was cheerful and polite as always.

'Madam!' Amelia felt odd at being addressed with such a title. She preferred when she was simply addressed as Miss Shawls.

"Good evening, Marcus. How are you?"
