Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Goals of a Mad Man

That is my bloodline Kekkei Genkai, it acts as a body enhancement with the cost being high amounts of bloodlust that can lose control if I have an emotional breakdown.

With such an exurbanite amount of yang chakra, what will you do with it? Will you go down the path of the shinobi? Jiraiya ponders in a slow sage like tone.

The path of the Shinobi? I can't help but laugh. "Hehehe! Thats a good one!" Then my mood turns somber as I stare up at the on pouring of rain. "Why would I want to be a mere shinobi when I can be so much more. This world is in constant cycle of bloodshed and for what exactly."

So, shinobi decide to wage war because of their ego, having too much testosterone in their balls. Trying to swing their dick around, flexing the size of their armies. Hey, look at me mine is bigger. No mine is bigger. What'd you say I'll show you. Your leaders are nothing but boys in their adolescence who haven't learned they're not the most important thing in the world. Nothing special, their walking turds, that are slightly bigger than that other shit over there.

Then some of them have everything but wouldn't share a bowl of rice with the poorest citizen because they'd rather horde it. Feeling as if they hold power. Calling the matter nothing more than principle since they were born to rule and you were not, "truly greed at its purest form." Then when it's time to a sign a trade agreement with starving countries how can you trust they'd sign it with a fair degree of mutual interest. Obviously, they won't. They'll create a system that gives them a constant flow of funds making you dependent on them, then slowly increase the price, putting you in a deal where you have no other options but to keep paying. This time instead of a finger it's a hand. Next time it's an arm.

So, when you can't pay it, the well dry's up, food is nothing more than stale bread and citizens resort to stealing or selling themselves, and the elderly turn away the children begging for food on the street. What's a small country to do? When their unable to negotiate peacefully, what will it take? For some its war, for others it's to struggle until the next generation is able to become self-sufficient.

The war mongers will feel justified calling the battle a crusade. But will be overrun by the army with resources, as resources allow for there to be more of a population, a population that's well rested and healthy. Not to mention more time to train with better strategy. Even with more countries willing to attack together. Zero plus zero still equals zero. But even if you chose not to be involved some nations will be desperate and attack the self-sufficient countries and force them to hand over their valuables. Thats probably what's going to happen to Uzushiogakure, Yugakure, Kusagakure, and Takigakure eventually. Only if the country is strong enough can they have a say in the matter of their future.

"Oi, brat what the hell did you say!" Even though Tsunade doesn't have any strong feelings towards Uzushiogakure, that's still the home of her grandmothers. Not to mention that little brat cousin of hers Kushina, who's scheduled to come join Konoha soon.

"Don't make jokes on such serious topics, Uzushigoakure is a strong nation renowned for their sealing and kenjutsu, having dozens of Kage level shinobi. Even if their small, don't underestimate them. It's not a place that can easily be defeated."

Yes they're different as they're strong but still fall in the category of a place people have their eye on because they have things of value.

You say all that but still talk about power, meaning you'd have to become a shinobi. Not to mention aren't you from Kusagakure and yet you speak of your country being attacked as if it doesn't concern you. Don't you want to change it, don't you want to save the lives of your people? How would you go about to bring peace?

Jiraiya is it? I think you misunderstand me I am not a shinobi, so I know this might be tough for you but don't judge as if I was one. In fact, don't look at ordinary people as people who would be so loyal to their nation, they'd allow their children to go hungry.

If people are offered something better, they'll judge it on a risk to reward scale and if it checks out, they'd take it without looking back. I hold no loyalty to Kusagakure, nor do I have any obligations to save them. And where do you get off unloading such a responsibility on someone else. If I made a country better than Kusagakure, abundant food, safety and a chance to advance in their chosen career and told the people they can freely live there. What idiot would turn it down; it'd be brainwashed patriots that's who. Patriotism is nice but not above everything in your life. Like if it came down to the life of a loved one versus a comrade, which would most people chose.

As for peace that's not my concern, not to mention it sounds like a lot of work and it take more than one person to accomplish.

"No, my goal in life isn't to be a shinobi but a scientist and live a comfortable life." Jaden pictures playing Pokémon on his Nintendo switch while under a Kotatsu Table, eating tangerines. That's what true peace looks like.

Orochimaru gain more color in his eyes as he nods his head in approval wondering what type of research he's interested in.

"A scientist you can't accomplish peace like that." Jiraiya shakes his head realizing the kid isn't the one he's searching for.

"Well depends on what peace looks like to you. My peace and your peace can look a lot differently."

Jiraiya still feeling that this kid is smart and has a great grasp on his thoughts and ideals believes that if he lives can become a big player on the political field.

What do you mean it depends; we all have our thoughts on how to seek peace, but their can only be one way to accomplish the everlasting peace that I'm in search of.

"Well, it sounds like you've caught of case of mild brainwashed. Don't worry it happens to the best of us at times." I say as if I want to pat his shoulder like an understanding senior looking after his junior.

Okay so it's like this the founders of the shinobi villages Hashirama and Madara lived at a time were every month they'd have to fight in all out wars between clans. Whether they say it's for territory, past grievances, revenge, food, heck I bet even woman. When they got a chance to take a break for a year and not check around a corner to make sure they didn't attack, they called that peace. Creating a village with their former enemies, proving the past wars, they fought were practically meaningless.

For Hashirama and Madara living in a village was peace. But then new enemies appeared. I bet this is what probably happen one of them wanted to do the exact same thing they just did and fight in a bit and long war to unite all their enemy's territories to create one big nation. While the other was like that's too much bloodshed. Wanting to and I quote "preserve the peace." They fought and then still had to fight in another big and long war anyways, but now without some of their strongest pieces.

While the other one was like that's too much bloodshed. Wanting to and I quote "preserve the peace." They fought and then still had to fight in a big and long war anyways, but now without some of their strongest pieces. Making another pointless war, because they believed that what they accomplished was peace. Pointless.

*Bang*

Tsunade is furious as she looks at me, having just destroyed the tree next to us with a punch. What'd you say you stinky Brat, how dear you disrespect grandpa! As I look at her, I can feel the overwhelming pressure of her aura. Her chakra is the most powerful thing I've ever felt, fear, understandably taking over my body. This makes me remember my place in this world, compared to the main cast like her.

It feels like I'm paralyzed with an invisible force grabbing around my neck and squeezing me, I can die. I CAN DIE FROM THIS ALONE!

I try to calm myself down but feel unable to do so, at the last second, I'm about to transform when I hear a loud booming voice. Enough Tsunade! This of course being a pissed of Toad Sage.

As she stops, I drop to my knees patting for breath. Intaking air like its the most valuable resource.

This crazy Bitch!!? "What the hell is wrong with you!" As I point at her.

She glares at me, and I instinctively step back.

Tsunade takes a step over to me. Jiraiya tries to hold her back, but she gives him a look that says I'm fine. Then speaks "What would a brat like you know! What would a sheltered brat know of the hardships of the world to talk to adults. All you do is spout nonsense on concepts you don't understand then point your fingers at us about how bad we are. But yet, still need our help. You'll never understand the sacrifices my grandfather made so civilians were allowed to gro. But here you are sticking your head up as if you can talk to us and challenge our choices with your narrow view on subjects. Don't you dare disrespect the legacy my grandfather died to protect."

"You could never be half the man he was!" She replies with righteous determination for her ancestors' memories.

Disrespect? I'm 100% sure your grandfather would agree with me. Unlike you who throws a tantrum the moment someone points out a flaw of the man. Which by the way everyone has a flaw, no one is exempt from scrutiny.

"He made a foundation people can stand on. Luckily, he died and allowed another generation to try and improve on his idea," Tsunade is about to attack me but Jiraiya allows me to continue.

His generation dies, new blood comes in and makes things slightly better and now say they wish to preserve the peace. But what if those elders stay too long in power and simply observe the battlefield, never dying by the same principles the village they control was founded on. Never stepping down. Continuing to say the same lines of "preserve the peace."

The problem with the young generation is their sporadic and are unable to keep things steady for the everyday people. Simply put managing others. But the problem with elders is they're unable to see where the future is going because their past is all they know. Holding onto whatever they have control over, as for most it's the most important thing they have left. And they feel they can't let go now.

Believing because of their "wisdom" that they know best.

Not knowing their probably, the ones stopping change because they want to keep things the way they were when they were growing up.

Peace is not having a single path, because peace is the future. Jaden says with a strong and determined face, with his eyes unwavering in their believes.

"You should be looking at peace as a relay race and not a race from one point to another."

relay race?

Oh right! Its like the edo period of Japan, they have no concept of modern team sports.

Jiraiya doesn't know if this child is the one he's looking for but believes its worth a shot.

Hey guys you can head back, I'll stay with the kid.

Huh!!?? Jiraiya what the hell are you thinking, we have a get back to camp, have you gone mad! Have you forgotten of your duty to Konoha? Tsunade roars trying to talk some sense into her impulsive teammate.

How about it kid do you want to learn how to protect yourself from me. With Jiraiya reaching his hand out for me to take.

But to the shock of everyone I turn my head away as if I'd contact a disease from touching him. No!

"shoo! shoo!" I try shushing him away like he's a small animal.
