[RAIDS ONLINE @ Location - Area CC+1 Barren State.]
[Rank D Ragnarok Beast, Codename - Werewolf.]
...ROOAAARRRRR!...
"Orion's Claws!..."
"Hey, hey, hey!... I said you're only allowed to use the Charge Skill. Don't go cheating on your opponent, Lucent!"
"How the heck am I supposed to defeat at this Werewolf with only the Charge Skill, SilverPup?!"
Continuing Luel and SilverPup's Raid against the Rank D Ragnarok Beasts at the empty desolate Area CC+1 Barren State, Luel is currently fighting a Rank D Ragnarok Beast Werewolf with two handicaps set up by SilverPup.
The first handicap is to fight the Rank D Werewolf with Luel's current Link Force, which is at 15 percent. Rank D Ragnarok Beasts should be challenged by players with Link Force around 25 to 50 percent or at least when a player's Link Force reaches midway around 35 percent Link Force.
Fighting Rank D Ragnarok Beasts at 15 percent Link Force and being able to defeat and devour them is a way to rapidly increase a player's Link Force but only for skilled RAIDS ONLINE players who can overcome the huge difference in strength with their abilities and skills as a gamer.
The second handicap set up by SilverPup is for Luel to defeat the Rank D Werewolf by only using the Charge Skill of the Devour Beast Orion Class, which left Luel with only his avatar's ability to increase his speed and strength. He doesn't have his dependable claws to tear apart his opponent nor his ferocious fangs to devour the Rank D Ragnarok Beast Werewolf.
...ROOAAARRRRR!...
The Werewolf charges at Luel with both of its arms to push him down on the ground and tear him apart.
If it was back like then at the Boss Raid against the Rank A Ragnarok Beast Cerberus, when Luel still had 37 percent Link Force, it would be easy for Luel to catch the arms and stop the Werewolf's charge. But that's only a wishful thought, as the reality is that Luel is much weaker now than he was before.
However, no matter how weak he is now, running away is not an option.
"Charge!..."
Luel activates his Charge Skill once again to intercept the incoming Werewolf.
In close-quarter combat in terms of speed and strength, then Luel is definitely going to lose to the Rank D Werewolf. But just like what SilverPup said, Ragnarok Beasts doesn't fight fair and square. They didn't give a faqing care, never! So why shouldn't Luel be allowed to do that as well?
Skill effect delayed activation.
It's not a bug in RAIDS ONLINE but rather a trick that players do to mess up with the rhythm or timing of the attack of their opponent.
Luel did that trick as he activated his Charge Skill. He moves to intercept the Rank D Werewolf with his speed only at 25 percent of his maximum output. As their distance gets closer, the remaining 75 percent of Charge Skill's increased speed effect hits Luel like a nitro boost fuel in the car's engine.
As Luel's speed instantaneously increased at once, he slid on the ground to dodge the arms of the Ragnarok Beast, then grabbed the Werewolf's right foot to bring it down on the ground.
Different from the Ragnarok Beasts that walk on four limbs, those with humanoid forms like Werewolf, Weretiger, and Werebear have one weakness similar to the players. That is when their feet are injured, they won't be able to fight at full strength.
...SNAP!...
...ROOAAARRRRR!...
A loud cracking sound, along with a painful scream, came from the Rank D Werewolf after Luel broke its knee by twisting its right foot with all of his strength.
While the Werewolf is down on the ground, enduring the pain of its broken knee, Luel jumps on its back, pins it down, and strangles its neck with both of his arms.
If only he could use his Orion's Fangs Skill and summon the silver light wolf aura, then the fight would have already ended. It won't take so much effort for Luel to defeat the Rank D Ragnarok Beast as he strangles its neck and tries to break it, and it won't allow the Werewolf to call for reinforcement.
...ROOAAARRRRR!!!...
Unlike his first fight against the Rank E Ragnarok Beast Bloodsucker, Luel can know recognize the difference in the roar of a Ragnarok Beast that was driven into a corner, ready to fight until its death, compared to a Ragnarok Beast calling for reinforcement.
"I guess taking down a Rank D Ragnarok Beast Werewolf at only 15 percent Link Force while being limited to the use of Charge Skill is still too much for you, Lucent."
"If you get it, then let me use my other skill already!"
"Fine, fine, fine... Devour that Ragnarok Beast already so we can get out of this place before the other Werewolves arrive."
"Orion's Fangs!..."
After devouring the dark aura coming out from the lifeless body of the Rank D Werewolf with his Devour Skill, Luel and SilverPup made their escape.
While the two are running away, Luel takes his chance to ask SilverPup how she would defeat the Rank D Werewolf if she's the one fighting under the same set of handicaps.
"Of course, unlike a certain someone, I would break its throat first so it won't be able to call for reinforcement."
"You should have told me to do that at the start!"
"Sheesh!... Do you want me to spoon-feed you forever, Lucent? Didn't I send you all those videos to study them and learn?!... Anyway, after breaking its throat, I would beat it to a pulp with my martial arts skills enhanced by increased speed and strength of Charge Skill..."
"Wait... With what?..."
Luel and SilverPup look at each other with a dumb face.
"Wait... Don't tell me you didn't take any martial arts or sports curriculums in your high school days?"
"No, I'm in the Go-Home Club after all..."
Before Luel could finish what he was about to say, SilverPup landed a dropkick behind his back that knock him stumbling on the ground.
"That explains why you're so weak when it comes to fighting! You better start training martial arts in real life if you want to fulfill your promise to Selene!"
After getting into safety, Luel and SilverPup log out of RAIDS ONLINE, ending the live stream of Luel's video at the same time.
