Chapter 55 - chapter 53: Training

Baishi glanced at his body. His skin remained smooth and fair, unaffected by prolonged immersion in the hot spring. There wasn't a hint of wrinkling, a testament to the effects of his 51 points in [Constitution].

With this in mind, Baishi swam toward the center of the hot spring. The closer he got, the hotter the water became, and the deeper it grew.

Reaching the center, he took a deep breath before plunging into the depths.

The water's surface soon returned to stillness.

Underwater

Baishi endured the ever-increasing temperature as he dove deeper—five meters, ten meters, twenty, fifty, one hundred.

In no time, he reached depths of over 150 meters, well beyond the limits of a normal human. But even this was not his limit.

Finally, at 220 meters, the pressure and heat became unbearable, forcing him to retreat.

Moments later, he resurfaced, shaking water from his hair and taking deep breaths to recover.

Gazing into the depths of the spring, he muttered, "There's definitely something unusual about this place."

A hot spring wouldn't typically be this deep, nor would one normally appear atop a peak. Yet here it was.

On top of that, the plant life on Moon Island was far more vibrant and lush than what an isolated island should sustain.

It was enough to stir anyone's curiosity.

Yesterday, he had been too exhausted to investigate further. But today, he decided to explore the depths, confident in his extraordinary constitution. Even so, the challenge proved more formidable than expected.

Still, Baishi wasn't in a rush. The signs pointed to this phenomenon being the result of unique geological conditions rather than anything artificial.

He could afford to wait until his [Constitution] improved before diving deeper.

Suddenly, his stomach growled.

Baishi rubbed his belly and smiled wryly. "Almost forgot—I haven't eaten yet!"

He stepped out of the hot spring, dried off, dressed, and activated the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Moon Island – Pirate Hideout

A group of pirates was roasting meat of some unknown origin, drinking and chatting, their spirits seemingly high.

Without warning, a figure appeared silently among them. The lively scene froze instantly. Every pirate fell silent, their mouths snapping shut in unison.

Baishi ignored their reactions, grabbed some food, and vanished as abruptly as he had arrived, using the Flying Thunder God Technique again.

Even long after his departure, the pirates remained in stunned silence, the only sound in the camp the crackling of the firewood.

His ability to appear and disappear without a trace had left yet another deep impression on them.

For Baishi, these pirates were merely test subjects—or perhaps now, cooks.

With them around, he no longer needed to worry about his meals. The time he saved could now be fully dedicated to training and evolution.

After eating, Baishi sat down to plan his training regimen.

First and foremost, he decided to focus on evolving his basic attributes, supplemented by enhancing his special skills for a well-rounded foundation.

Next, he aimed to develop his Wood Release (Mokuton), delving into its potential to enhance his combat power.

Finally, he would study sealing and curse techniques, exploring their underlying principles while expanding his tactical options.

For his basic attributes, his priority was increasing [Strength] and [Agility].

The human body operates as a unified system. Previously, circumstances had forced him to focus on [Constitution] and [Intelligence], which was less than ideal. While the imbalance wasn't problematic at his current level, it could become a significant liability in the future.

His goal was to become a true all-rounder, with no glaring weaknesses. Any asymmetry could become a fatal flaw.

With his plan set, Baishi wasted no time. From his sealing scroll, he retrieved weighted training equipment crafted in the Land of Iron.

He didn't opt for extreme weights, instead choosing a balance that maximized efficiency based on his experience.

Once equipped, he stretched briefly. The added weight felt heavy but didn't hinder his mobility.

He activated the system, setting his goals and parameters before starting the evolution process.

As the system extracted his chakra, a cooling energy began to flow through his body, stimulating rapid evolution.

Baishi began with basic exercises—push-ups, sit-ups, running—before moving on to practice Leaf Village taijutsu techniques.

During this time, every part of his body associated with [Strength] and [Agility]—muscles, bones, nervous system—was nourished by the cooling energy, accelerating their evolution.

Three hours later, his chakra was depleted, halting the evolution process.

Baishi stopped training and sat down to meditate, recovering his chakra while unlocking latent potential in his body and mind. This practice also helped increase his chakra reserves.

By the time his chakra was fully restored, it was nearly noon. He enjoyed a hearty meal before launching into another round of evolution, focusing again on weighted training to improve [Strength] and [Agility].

By mid-afternoon, his chakra was once again depleted, bringing this session to an end.

In the evening, after replenishing his chakra, he switched his focus to enhancing his Spatial Perception ability.

Although his current V-level Spatial Perception was sufficient, it had limitations. Baishi intended to improve it further.

Two hours later, his chakra was drained once more.

This time, Baishi didn't push himself to recover immediately. Instead, he turned his attention to studying sealing and curse techniques, immersing himself in research for several hours.

By the time he retired for the night, he was thoroughly exhausted. He slept deeply, and when he woke the next day, he was fully rejuvenated.

Following the same schedule, he began a new round of training and evolution.

Day after day, Baishi maintained this rigorous routine.

With every moment meticulously planned, from morning to night, his time was filled with training, evolution, or research. There was no room for rest.

His focus and dedication left no doubt—he was determined to grow stronger, step by step, until he achieved his ultimate goal.
