Chapter 7 - Training

Fully focused, Luther began to look through the energy cultivation manuals.

There were ten energy cultivation manuals in all, each having different methods of energy absorption.

After some thought, Luther decided to cultivate the Boundless Energy cultivation manual.

It was a form of absorption which turned the cells of the body into containers, allowing him to have boundless energy; that was if he reached higher stages.

Nonetheless, it was what he felt suited him.

Having more energy was naturally a good thing.

After all, he was supposed to turn his body into an energy conduit and production center, self-sufficient, just like a planet!

Luther opened the manual and read through it carefully for a few moments.

The instructions were easy to understand and very straightforward. Closing his eyes in a cross legged position, he put away the manual.

That was when he realized he had forgotten to take an energy shard.

With a wry smile, Luther pulled the chest over and opened it, revealing brilliant crystals of all colors, the most dominant one being blue.

Picking one of the blue shards, he resumed his position and began to cultivate.

*Knock knock.

Aleksia entered Luther's room, causing him to look up from his cultivation. Beside him, the quantity of shards had visibly reduced.

'It's time for breakfast, Luther. Please wash up and come with me,' Aleksia reported politely.

'Huh, it's already morning? Doesn't it mean I cultivated all night?! But I don't feel tired at all… it must be because I've become a Super!'

Super was the title or term which Espers and Pugilists were called.

Luther rose up, stretching as he did so. Every cell in his body buzzed with primal energy, making him feel as if he could run a mile in an instant.

Which he probably could…

'Okay Aleksia, thank you. I'll be out in fifteen minutes.'

Aleksia nodded and left.

'Now that I think about it, I was so engrossed in cultivation that I forgot to take a bath!' Luther chuckled.

Removing his robe, he walked to the bathroom, grabbing a fresh towel from a nearby pile.

Fifteen minutes was more than enough for him to floss his teeth and wash up. Soon enough, he was out of the tub, wiping himself with the large white towel.

'Hmm… is it me or I've become more handsome?'

Luther paused for a moment and looked at the mirror. He had gained abs overnight and his skin glowed with health!

He could barely recognize himself in the mirror.

His hair was still all over as usual, wild and stubborn. His blue eyes were reflected in the mirror, gleaming with sharp light.

A closer look made him realize that previous blemishes on his skin were all gone.

'Wow…' he muttered under his breath.

Becoming as Esper had changed his physical structure in such a short time.

With a smile, he wore a powder blue robe, fluffy white sandals and walked out of his room. Aleksia was waiting for him outside.

'Master Bernoni won't be joining you for breakfast. His experiment has reached a critical juncture,' the humanoid robot explained.

Luther nodded in understanding.

Aleksia led him to a regal dining hall themed in white and gold. The trays, food plates and cutlery were all golden!

Sitting in the plush golden chair, Luther dug in without hesitation.

There were some of the previous day's golden berries and phoenix meat, there was also bread which was a faint blue hue and surprisingly cold; it tasted like cake.

There was also what could only be green tea in a golden goblet, complete with rashers of pork and bacon.

'The food here is truly stellar,' Luther sighed and belched in satisfaction, wiping his mouth with the golden napkin.

Aleksia was standing a few feet away, waiting respectfully for Luther's orders.

'Aleksia, please is there a gym or something? I want to train,' Luther asked. His body was bursting with energy, he wanted to make use of it.

Besides, if he didn't train, how would he get used to his new power?

'There's a training room with sparring dummies and various equipment, Luther. Let me lead you there,' Aleksia replied.

Luther nodded and rose from his seat.

Robots floated in to take away the empty trays and plates of food.

Luther and Aleksia walked down the corridor of the spaceship and entered another room. It had a wide area, the size of two football fields combined.

On the right side was an enormous weapons rack with all kinds of weapons, straight out of fantasy.

Neatly arranged on the other sides were humanoid robots which were rather simple in design, not life-like like Aleksia.

'This is the training area. Here, you can spar with the robots, test your powers, practice shooting and anything which suits your fancy.'

'Thank you Aleksia. I'm new to all this so could you help me draw out a training plan which would best suit me?' Luther asked.

He rarely went to the gym; drawing training and fitness plans weren't his forte.

Aleksia nodded and smiled at him. 'No worries, Luther! I'll draw a suitable training plan for you. Any specifications?'

Luther pondered for a bit.

Right now, he was in a rush to become stronger. The training had to factor that in.

'Uh… anything's fine as long as it helps me get stronger faster,' Luther replied after some thought.

Aleksia nodded. 'Excellent choice! I will draft the Limit Breaker training plan for you.'

Limit breaker training plan?

The name sounded rather scary.

'Oh and before you begin, wear a body suit; robes aren't suitable for training. You'll find some over there.

While you change, I'll draft the plan so you can begin right away!'

'is it me or has she become extremely enthusiastic?' Luther scratched his head, staring at the excited robot.

Shrugging, he went over to where the body suit rack was and picked one. It was fully black in color, having a bright silver sheen over the shoulders and thighs.

The material was rather light, almost skin tight but not to the point of chafing his skin.

It was extremely comfortable to move in it.

'I'm done with your training plan, Luther!' Aleksia returned, her smile even wider.

Somehow, it looked rather demonic to Luther.

'What on earth is this robot up to?'
