Chapter 50 - Burning (2)

Sylara's violet eyes narrowed as she stood beside Grido, the air between them tense.

"What did Cha-Jong say?"

She asked him, her voice calm yet edged with authority.

Grido hesitated, thinking.

Why would Akira go there alone? he thought. Since the little time i have known him he's never acted recklessly before. Every move of his had a reason behind it. Could there be something in that dungeon he needs? Or is this about something else entirely…?

He finally spoke, his voice firm but serious.

"Guildmaster i think we have a problem."

Sylara frowned, her purple eyes focusing on him.

"What now?" she asked, folding her arms impatiently.

"Akira," Grido began, pausing to think about his words.

"Cha-Jong just told me that he's rushing to the evolved dungeon that Imzar told us."

Sylara's calm façade broke.

"What?!" She shouted, her voice shrill.

"Why the hell would he do that?!"

Grido shook his head, running a hand through his hair.

"I don't know. Cha-Jong sounded damn serious. He told me to stop him at all costs, but he didn't explain much else."

Sylara's face turned dark, her voice taking on a steely edge.

"What is the deal with that boy…?" She growled before wheeling about. "Grido, finish with the preparation."

"I'll go ahead to stop him."

Grido nodded, snatching into action.

"Understood, Guildmaster."

As Sylara strode out of the room, her aura flared briefly—a glimpse of her immense power.

Her mind was already working through the possibilities.

"That boy is more trouble than he's worth… but this is no ordinary trouble."

"I already have my hands full with troublesome things i didn't need this too"

Cha-Jong's car tore through the city streets, the engine roaring as he pushed it to its limits. His thoughts were a chaotic storm, fear gripping him tightly.

"Damn it, Akira… why did it had to happen now, of all times?"

He muttered to himself, his hands clenched on the steering wheel.

"The strong hatred in his eyes, the way his voice shook with hidden anger. It wasn't just revenge—it was an obsession."

"If he's going there for revenge… that's bad enough," Cha-Jong thought, his heart hammering.

"But what if he comes out?"

"That unknown soul inside him."

The being inside Akira, the one that made Cha-Jong to have nightmares till this day when he sleept.

"I hope it doesn't surface anymore if surfaced now, in the presence of the Guildmaster or during a rampage, the consequences would be catastrophic. The damage would be unimaginable.

"Please, Akira… don't lose control."

At the entrance of the dungeon, the large gate stood darkly, giving off a scary and dangerous feeling that seemed to fill the air.

Akira arrived and stood several meters away from it his black hair moving in the wind as his sharp eyes focused on the spinning energy.

The agents of T.E.R.R.A. were at hand, searching around cautiously Guildmaster Sylara had called them for montioring the dungeon and to prepare for the worst case

Akira knew they would question him, make him deal with rules and to verify myself"

He didn't have time for that—not now.

His jaw clenched as anger rose.

"A Demonic Human…", he growled low and venomous.

"The monsters who took everything from me." My father, my mother… they all died because of you. And now, one of you shows up again?!"

"Finally"

He looked up toward the gate; the dim white glow was back in his eyes.

"This is where it ends for one of us," he uttered, his voice oozing with malice. "Demonic Human…whoever you are , you're mine"

He took a moment to shut his eyes to steady his breath.

Then, he opened them, and a surge of raw mana exploded around him as he activated Soul Infusion.

His body shimmered with power, every muscle taut with energy. Without a word, he crouched low and shot forward like a lightning bolt, his full speed leaving a trail of crackling energy in his wake.

"Hey!"

"Stop!" one of the agents shouted, but Akira was already gone, his speed too overwhelming for their reactions.

"What the hell was that?!" Another yelled as they scrambled to alert their superiors.

"Someone just entered the dungeon now!"
