Chapter 10 - So Embarrassing

Míng Yûzé pov.

"Of course you don't, because... It's not actually you who knew me."

I froze from my spot as I looked at him with wide eyes, unable to believe what I just heard.

"Y-you..." I stutter, still trying to process what's going on.

'How... Did he know? ' I thought before shaking my head as I looked at him again.

"Hah! You must be joking, right?" I said, trying to cover the truth, but he just stared at me like he was staring at my soul.

"Stop pretending... I know Zî Ruì really well, and the first thing he will do whenever he sees me is to run away," he said while glaring at me with those deadly eyes that sent a shiver down my spine.

"N-No, still I-I am... argh." I tried to say something, but my head suddenly felt dizzy, making me close my eyes and touch my forehead.

"I'll take you home now," he said as he grabbed my arm and helped me to stand up.

He wrapped my right arm around his shoulder while his left hand held my waist, making me bite my lower lip as I suddenly felt something strange.

'Damn it, what's with this body?' I thought as I groaned mentally, but I let Xiâo Dān to support me.

"Wait... what about Huì Yîng?" I asked as I opened my hazy eyes to look at Huì Yîng, who's drunk and sleeping at the table.

"Let her be; I already asked someone to watch after her," he said, and started to lead me out of the restaurant.

After some time, he helped me climb inside a bus and helped me sit down at the very back of the bus before sitting beside me.

My head feels so dizzy, and it's not probably the alcohol fault, but instead it was something else.

Every time Xiâo Dān was around me, I just kept feeling something weird and strange that I didn't quite know what it was.

"What's your name?" Xiâo Dān suddenly asked, making me look at him with a frown.

"You mean me? Like me the soul?" I asked with sarcasm, making him look at me with those serious gazes that sent a shiver down my spine again.

"Argh~ whatever, I'm Míng Yûzé," I said as I closed my eyes while leaning against my seat.

"The guy who drowned?" he asked, making me shoot my eyes open as I look at him shocked.

"How did you know?" I asked with widening eyes, still can't process the thing that he knew a lot about me and this kid, Zî Ruì.

"It was all over the town now; actually, the Ming family of yours continues to give trouble to your school," he said casually while looking at his front.

"How did you know that?" I asked in confusion, but he just ignored me and closed his eyes.

I glared at him in annoyance but just chose to shut up and close my eyes too, until I fell asleep.

I woke up from a long sleep and started to open my eyes slowly, looking around in confusion at the sudden change in my surroundings.

I sat up immediately while looking around; surely this wasn't my room and it was someone else's house.

I immediately took off the blanket that was covering me, then my eyes widen in shock as I notice that I'm wearing different clothes.

"Ahh, finally you're awake."

I looked up and saw Xiâo Dān standing and leaning against the door frame while crossing his arm against his chest.

I look at him in disbelief, and with that, I grab a nearby pillow and throw it straight to his face.

"PERVERT!" I yelled in humiliation and anger, while he just picked up the pillow that I threw on him.

"What? Didn't you remember what happened yesterday?" He asked, making me widen my eyes, and my hand went to grab another pillow and throw it on him, but this time he was able to capture the pillow.

"PERVERT! What did you just do to me?! How dare you take advantage of me! My poor innocence and purity! You take it all!" I yelled in shame as I looked at him in anger, while he just stared back at me with a frown and confusion at the same time with a blank expression.

"What do you mean?" He asked before letting out a heavy sigh and rubbed his temple.

"Look, you fell asleep yesterday on our way back home, but I don't know where your house is, and that's why you are here," he said while glaring at me, but I just stared at him, trying to process his explanation.

"And also, what are you talking about? I didn't even touch you; well, yes, maybe I did, but I just help you to change because you throw up on your shirt." He continued to explain, making me feel so embarrassed and look away from him.

"Anyways, we are both guys, so what's the matter of that if I see your tiny bird?" he said with a smirk, making me look at him curiously and throw another pillow, but he just dodged it.

"Hey! For your information, my bird is not that tiny!" I said in embarrassment, but he just snickered, clearly not believing me.

"A-Anyways, so what? This is not even my body," I muttered, but he just chuckled and turned his back on me.

"Whatever, breakfast is ready, so you should come downstairs now," he said before leaving, while I just facepalmed myself.

"Damn it... such an embarrassing moment early in the morning," I thought as I laid back down on the bed and closed my eyes.

'I should have known that Zî Ruì bodies have a low tolerance when it comes to alcohol,' I thought before letting out a heavy sigh and sitting up.

'Can't I just have a peaceful day for just one day?' I thought while climbing off of the bed as I stood up and walked toward the door.

I guess a nice meal will do after the early morning shame.
