"All I'm saying, Boss," Leo said, as he brought his barrel with warm beer to his lips. Earning the undying love of the toad bartender, who had been wondering what he could do with the stuff. "Is that you have to romance your fairy."
"But I am," Kai said, as he forced himself to drink more of the beer. He wanted to forget himself. He wanted to go back to Lin and be his one and only.
"Are you?" Leo did not know much about romance, for he was a wind elemental, and such things had not been in the cards for him. The fact that he was yet to sweep Gog off his feet, even with Amias' help, proved that. "All I see the two of you doing is talking."
"We do more than that. Well… used to," Kai had to admit. The couple of days spent with only Lin by his side, trying to see just what was needed to break the bed, had been the most action both of them had gotten in a while.
