To anyone else, that would have been trash. But his poison gases could only get stronger with this brew. He smiled. Yes, it was good to have the humans give them all their spoiled foodstuff.
"No, we can't," Kai agreed. It would be a daring expedition with trade caravans. Between them and the nearest human town which actually had money in its treasury was the forest.
And the forest, as Kai knew from personal experience, was full of melted fudge-muffins.
Most of whom ate human meat.
Heck, Kai was not even certain if Battlepaws' presence would be enough to keep them all safe. Hunger was the greatest motivation there was. With the failed crops and the danger of the forest, most humans avoided the green void, as they liked to call it.
