Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Love rival who fights openly and secretly, third party Naruto

As Sasuke watched intently, Kakashi began forming seals for a new jutsu, his Sharingan helping him grasp each subtle movement. Kakashi's voice grew serious as he finished the seal, "Thunder Release: Lightning Serpent…" In his right hand, blue lightning coiled and crackled, forming a serpent-like shape. Sasuke's keen eyes caught every detail of the twisting, condensed energy.

"This is one way to attack," Kakashi explained. He held the sphere of lightning briefly before releasing it with a sharp flick of his wrist. The serpent shot forward with a deafening crackle, leaving a blackened trail along the ground. Sasuke instinctively leaped back, putting distance between him and the volatile energy. The Razer continued for several meters before dissipating.

Kakashi turned back to Sasuke, his expression slipping from intense to lazy. "The range and power of the Razer depend on the user's chakra. But the technique's essence is unchanged. Now, it's up to you, Sasuke." With a casual wave, Kakashi walked away, leaving Sasuke to train.

Suddenly, Naruto burst onto the scene, his face full of irritation. "What? Kakashi-sensei is giving Sasuke special training? That's unfair!" He stomped forward, visibly upset, while Sakura, who had followed Naruto, sighed apologetically. "I tried to stop him, Kakashi-sensei. I'm sorry."

Sakura's eyes, however, sparkled as she looked at Sasuke. He had just learned a powerful new jutsu, and she couldn't hide her admiration. Yet, a twinge of jealousy lingered in her heart.

Kakashi turned to Naruto and Sakura with a sheepish grin. "No favoritism here, Naruto," he replied. "You need to finish your tree-climbing exercise first. Master that, and we'll talk about ninjutsu. Sakura, your chakra reserves are low, so let's focus on improving that first." With a slight wave, he vanished.

Naruto clenched his fists in determination. "Alright, then! I'll finish the tree-climbing exercise and catch up with you, Sasuke!" He ran off, throwing a determined glance back at Sasuke, who smirked.

"That hot-blooded fool…" Sasuke muttered as he resumed forming seals, shaking his head at Naruto's impulsive attitude.

As the day turned to evening, both Sasuke and Naruto were exhausted from training. Sakura had prepared lunch, but neither had yet perfected their respective exercises. Just as they prepared to call it a day, a voice called from outside the clearing. Sasuke turned to see Kiba approaching with Akamaru, followed by Hinata and Shino from Team 8, along with Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino from Team 10.

"Hey, Naruto, did Sasuke tell you?" Kiba taunted with a smirk. "He invited us to a class dinner. Guess you weren't on the list."

Naruto's face scrunched in frustration. "Who are you calling useless?" He yelled, stepping forward, ready to argue. Hinata intervened gently, trying to calm the two down, though her shyness made her voice barely a whisper. Sasuke watched, amused by the unfolding chaos.

Ino, seeing Sasuke, gave Sakura a pointed look. "Sasuke-kun, I thought you'd mentioned organizing a gathering tonight? Let's go to the hotpot place near my family's flower shop."

Sakura's expression darkened, and she clenched her fists, jealousy simmering beneath the surface. She couldn't believe Ino was angling to spend time with Sasuke. Without missing a beat, Sakura latched onto Sasuke's arm, pulling him close. "Actually, Ino, Sasuke-kun and I already decided on Yoshinoya Grill," she said with a triumphant smile.

Ino's expression shifted, but she wasn't willing to back down. "Is that so? Well, Sasuke-kun, what's the plan?"

Before Sasuke could respond, Naruto, annoyed at being left out, spoke up. "Sasuke, you didn't even tell me! Why not?"

Sasuke gave Naruto an exasperated look. "We're all classmates, Naruto. Now, let's go to Yoshinoya." As he led the group, Sakura clung to his arm, beaming, while Ino tried to pry her off, sparking a silent rivalry. Sasuke could only sigh, trying to ignore the chaos surrounding him.

Naruto and Shikamaru each flanked Sasuke on either side, determined not to be left out of the camaraderie. Sasuke felt the weight of his friends' loyalty—and their fierce rivalries—as they headed toward the grill.
