"Trying to use your words to buy time for your paralyzed hand to recover?" Kakashi's voice was cold, his red left eye fixed on Zabuza. "I see right through you, Zabuza…"
He flung shuriken in a calculated arc, blocking all possible escape routes. With speed and precision, Kakashi launched forward like an arrow, closing in on his opponent.
"You think you can take me down with that?" Zabuza sneered as his figure blurred, vanishing with ghost-like agility to evade the incoming shuriken.
[This must be the Kirigakure Silent Killing Technique!]
Sasuke, observing intently, felt a mix of awe and realization. What he had assumed to be a mere physical skill was far more complex than he'd imagined.
Kirigakure Silent Killing Technique: A specialized technique to detonate chakra within the body, propelling the user with silent, high-speed movement. The stealth and acceleration it granted allowed for lethal surprise attacks. Zabuza's swift retreat moments ago had been fueled by this very method.
"Kakashi, you're too slow!" Zabuza's voice echoed as he reappeared, his hands a blur as he formed seals, readying his next attack. "Chou, Shen, Mao, , Hai…"
"I told you, I can see through you!" Kakashi's Sharingan flared, mirroring Zabuza's seals in rapid succession. In an instant, Kakashi caught up with the hand signs, meeting Zabuza's technique with flawless precision.
[44 Water Dragon Bombs—they're both so talented! Kakashi could easily finish his opponent with Chidori, yet he chooses to use the same technique, showing mastery in both skill and psychological warfare.]
Sasuke looked on with a twinge of envy and admiration. This intense ninjutsu battle—though he couldn't join it—represented the pinnacle of ninja combat.
"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
Their voices rang out simultaneously, and in the next instant, two colossal water dragons emerged, roaring toward each other with unrestrained fury. They clashed in mid-air, sending shockwaves rippling through the river.
"Such power!" Naruto and Sakura exclaimed in awe, witnessing a true shinobi battle for the first time.
Meanwhile, Zabuza struggled to process the rapid series of events.
"You… you can't beat me…" Zabuza murmured, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Then, as if from nowhere, Zabuza's rage flared once again, and he gathered his chakra, determined to end it all with his ultimate technique. "Water Style: Great Waterfall Jutsu!"
Kakashi seized the opportunity, catching Zabuza off guard. The river beneath his feet surged, morphing into a massive wave that swept Zabuza away, smashing him into a tree.
"Seeing the future, are you?" Zabuza stammered, his gaze one of shock and resignation.
"Indeed. Your future… is death." Kakashi, calm and resolute, approached with kunai in hand, ready to deliver the final blow.
At that critical moment, three senbon needles suddenly flew through the air, piercing Zabuza's neck. His eyes widened in reluctant acceptance before his body slumped lifelessly to the ground.
The silence was broken by a young figure wearing a Kirigakure ANBU mask who appeared before them. Naruto, eyes wide, cried out, "He's dead!"
Kakashi knelt to check Zabuza's pulse, his gaze meeting that of the masked intruder, but the newcomer remained silent and motionless.
[So, Haku finally arrived...] Sasuke thought, recognizing the figure but choosing to stay silent.
Sasuke didn't want to see Haku killed, nor was he particularly sentimental about him. But he wanted this fight to continue, sensing that Kakashi was near his limit.
"I'll be taking him now." Haku said in a calm voice, disappearing with Zabuza in tow.
"Damn it! Zabuza was so strong, and he was taken out just like that! And that guy, he looked our age!" Naruto gritted his teeth, fists clenched in frustration.
Sasuke couldn't help but smirk. You, the reincarnation of Asura and the Nine-Tails' Jinchuuriki, feeling frustrated?
Kakashi sighed and placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder. "There are geniuses out there, Naruto, even younger than you. We may just be… ordinary."
Sasuke rolled his eyes at Kakashi's self-description. Ordinary? In what world?
"But that's what makes it exciting," Sasuke added, closing his Sharingan. "You defeat an enemy, you surpass yourself. So, if you don't want to fall behind, train harder!"
Naruto's fighting spirit reignited, and he grinned, "Right, I won't lose! Kakashi-sensei, I'm ready for that ninjutsu training!"
"Count me in, Kakashi-sensei," Sakura added, eager to keep up.
"Alright," Kakashi nodded, a serious look crossing his face. "I guess it's time I stop slacking."
Just then, Kakashi stumbled, his strength momentarily drained. Sasuke quickly stepped forward, supporting him by the shoulder.
[He's overused his Sharingan…] Kakashi noted before his consciousness faded.
