As Uta began to sing, a celestial sound descended upon the concert hall, and the entire audience fell into an enchanted silence, completely absorbed by her voice. This was pure heaven in sound.
Whether noble or commoner, everyone was captivated the moment Uta sang.
Even Luffy found himself swayed. Moments ago, he had been frustrated by the nobles' snobbery and was considering teaching them a lesson on what true power meant—how social standing without strength was laughable in a world like this.
But as Uta's voice filled the hall, his mood lightened instantly, and all those petty grievances vanished. There was no longer any urge to rough up the clueless aristocrats.
Music, he thought, truly had the power to lift spirits and touch hearts.
Uta paused for breath, looking out at the packed hall, the spotlight casting her in a brilliant glow. Her eyes grew misty as she took in the scene—it was a dream come to life.
Seeing everyone so happy because of her voice was all she had ever wanted, confirming her resolve to pursue this path.
Taking note of the next song, she started singing again, her voice radiating waves of pure sound that reached every corner of the hall.
Though her Song-Song Fruit powers were more effective in the dream world, they had some effects in reality too, enhancing her voice's clarity and resilience. She didn't need the microphone; her voice alone was strong enough to carry through the hall, reaching every ear and stirring every heart.
The entire venue pulsed with energy, lights forming an ocean of glow sticks as the audience—nobles and commoners alike—waved them in rhythm, all cheering for the girl bathed in light on stage.
King Gordon, who sat beside Luffy, was overcome with emotion. "This is the child I raised! This is my student!" he exclaimed proudly to the nobles around him.
The nobles, deeply moved, whispered, "She must be an angel."
Luffy couldn't help but feel swept up in the concert's atmosphere, his own heart pounding with excitement.
Seeing the crowd so ecstatic, Uta grew more confident. This, she felt, was the true power of music.
Meanwhile, deep below the concert hall…
As Uta tapped into her Devil Fruit powers, a faint purple glow started emanating from an old drawer hidden underground. Ancient sheet music began to float out, guided by some invisible force, moving toward the source of Uta's singing with urgent purpose. It seemed eager to reach her, yearning to be sung and to unleash its hidden power.
Performing for a crowd was exhausting, and after a few songs, Uta was already feeling drained. She turned to check the next song on the setlist, but then her eyes widened as an aged, yellowed piece of sheet music floated up from the distance, coming to rest in front of her.
Curious, Uta gazed at the mysterious sheet music, mouth slightly open, instinctively feeling drawn to start singing the notes on the page.
Was this another gift from the king? She wondered. A flying sheet of music?
Luffy, who had calmed down from his initial excitement, suddenly felt a chill. Realizing what the sheet music was, he sprang forward, sprinting toward Uta with all his might.
Before Uta could make out the melody, Luffy's outstretched hand reached her side, grabbing the enchanted sheet music before she could start singing.
He could feel a strange power emanating from the music, clashing faintly with his Armament Haki, but the force was weak—barely noticeable. With a firm grip, he subdued it entirely, feeling the mysterious energy ebb away in his hand.
He had it—the key to the "nuclear button"!
The Song of the Demon King!
A national-level strategic weapon—Elegia's fate, rewritten by my hand!
Luffy looked at the ancient music in his grasp, marveling at his victory. It was almost too easy. Unless someone sang the melody, the music itself posed no threat, a mere artifact.
Luffy inspected the sheet music, having picked up a basic understanding of reading music from his time here.
"Luffy, what are you doing?" Uta asked curiously, noticing the odd behavior. She leaned closer, peering at the mysterious sheet music.
"Uta, you shouldn't look at this," Luffy said firmly, tucking the music away out of her sight.
Anyone could look at this sheet music, he thought—but Uta absolutely couldn't.
He suspected only Uta's voice could unlock the full potential of this ancient weapon.
Casting a glance at Uta, he felt a surge of pride. With her debut, Uta was now officially an idol, her first fans the people of Elegia who had come to hear her sing.
His gaze fell to her leg, where a black ribbon was tied, adorned with a delicate bow—an accessory he had fashioned to hide a small mark he'd left on her leg earlier.
"Well, I'll leave you to keep singing," Luffy said, hopping down from the stage.
The fans in the audience, who had no idea what had just transpired, began to show signs of frustration and outrage. They had just witnessed someone interrupting the concert—an unforgivable act in their eyes. To them, it was as if a fly had landed on a beautiful cake.
The concert hall, filled with charged energy from Uta's songs, was ready to explode. Uta's passionate fans—nobles included—glared at Luffy with contempt. One noble even shouted, "Who allowed you to disrupt the sacred stage and interrupt our angel's song?"
"Yeah, who do you think you are?" "Just a lowly pirate—what could you know about music?"
"Stay away from Uta! You don't belong here!"
Several enraged fans from the back of the audience began storming toward the stage, intent on forcibly removing Luffy.
Lost in the thrill of his own victory, Luffy paid no attention to the fanatic fans, casually dodging their attempts to grab him.
"Luffy, please, everyone—don't start a fight!" Uta, flustered and unsure of how to handle the situation, pleaded with her fans.
This was her first time encountering a mishap like this during a performance. She didn't yet know how to bring peace back to her audience.
But the royal orchestra knew exactly what to do. The musicians began to play a lighthearted tune—the globally famous song Binks' Brew, a joyful sea shanty meant to close the concert.
This had originally been planned as a grand sing-along for everyone in attendance.
As the familiar melody filled the hall, Uta turned and glanced at the orchestra. Completely engrossed in their music, they paid no mind to the commotion around them.
So this is what true mastery looks like, she thought.
And then it hit her—the best way to calm everyone down was to keep singing!
With a bright smile, she launched into the song:
"Yo ho ho ho, yo ho ho ho, Bring Binks' Brew right to your door, Like the wind, sail free forevermore…"
Her clear, childlike voice cut through the tension, and the anger in her fans' hearts began to melt away.
They swayed to the music, softly singing along as her voice carried them back to a place of peace.
