Chapter 56 - Chapter 44: The Gathering of Power

As the dust settled from Uraume's earlier confrontation, the air crackled with anticipation. Akari, Selene, Seraphina, Aeloria, and Nyxara gathered at the edge of the kingdom, their expressions steely and resolute. The weight of their experiences bore heavily on their shoulders, and they understood that they were on the precipice of something monumental.

"Those clones were a poor imitation of us," Selene stated, her voice steady as she surveyed their surroundings. "They were strong, but they could never compare to the real deal."

Akari nodded in agreement. "We are Umbra's true lineage, bound by love and power. We can't let anyone forget that."

As if summoned by their words, a wave of energy surged through the air, and the Absolute Beings materialized behind them. These ancient entities were neither allies nor foes, simply watchers of the cosmic balance. They observed with their ethereal forms, their eyes reflecting the vastness of knowledge they possessed. Their presence brought a sense of awe, reminding everyone of the scale of the battle that was about to unfold.

At that moment, a powerful aura enveloped the area, and from the shadows emerged The Mother and The Father, beings of unimaginable strength and wisdom. They were guardians of the multiverse, embodiments of creation and destruction, and their arrival signaled the gravity of the conflict ahead.

Behind them, a group of formidable figures began to materialize. Diablos, an entity of chaos and darkness, joined their ranks, radiating an unsettling energy that set everyone on edge. Flanking Diablos were Arthur, Umbra's best friend, and the Six Creators, each representing different elements of existence, all present to witness the unfolding events.

The atmosphere thickened as the group took their positions, their combined power creating a palpable tension in the air. Umbra's children, still innocent and unaware of the fate that awaited them, stood off to the side, protected yet vulnerable, their existence a beacon of hope.

Then, without warning, a rip in reality opened above them, and The Godhand descended—a collective force that exuded malice and authority. Each member was an embodiment of devastation, wielding powers that could shake the foundations of the multiverse itself.

As they touched down, the Godhand leader surveyed the assembled crowd, a smug smile forming on his lips. "So, we have gathered all the puppets of this so-called king," he sneered. "How quaint."

The presence of the Godhand shifted the energy in the air. The Mother and The Father exchanged glances, their expressions betraying concern for what was about to transpire.

"Everyone, step back," Akari ordered, her voice rising above the gathering storm. She positioned herself protectively in front of the children, her determination burning bright.

But the leader of the Godhand raised a hand dismissively. "You think you can protect them?" he scoffed. "Your power pales in comparison to what we possess."

With that, the Godhand unleashed a wave of darkness, tendrils of shadow reaching out toward Umbra's children.

"No!" Akari screamed, rushing forward, but it was too late.

The darkness enveloped the children, their cries of confusion and fear echoing in the air. In an instant, their light was extinguished as the Godhand's power consumed them completely.

Time seemed to slow as the realization of the horror set in. Umbra's children, the future of his legacy, had been mercilessly snuffed out, their existence erased without a second thought.

Akari fell to her knees, grief-stricken, while Selene and Seraphina looked on in shock, unable to process the devastation.

"How could you?" Akari choked out, tears streaming down her face as she looked up at the Godhand. "You'll pay for this!"

The leader of the Godhand merely chuckled, his expression one of cold satisfaction. "And who will make us?"

In that moment, all hope seemed lost, but a flicker of determination ignited in the eyes of the remaining wives and allies. They were Umbra's true legacy, and they would not let this act of cruelty go unpunished.
